Jeremiah 5 in Tamil

1 நியாயஞ்செய்கிற மனுஷனைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பீர்களோ என்றும், சத்தியத்தைத் தேடுகிறவன் உண்டோ என்றும், எருசலேமின் தெருக்களிலே திரிந்துபார்த்து, விசாரித்து, அதின் வீதிகளிலே தேடுங்கள்; காண்பீர்களானால் அதற்கு மன்னிப்புத் தருவேன். Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

2 அவர்கள்: கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறோம் என்றாலும், பொய்யாணையிடுகிறார்களே. And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely.

3 கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய கண்கள் சத்தியத்தை அல்லவோ நோக்குகின்றது; அவர்களை அடிக்கிறீர், ஆனாலும் அவர்களுக்கு நோகாது; அவர்களை நிர்மூலமாக்குகிறீர், ஆனாலும் புத்தியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளமாட்டோம் என்கிறார்கள்; தங்கள் முகங்களைக் கன்மலையைப்பார்க்கிலும் கெட்டியாக்கி, திரும்பமாட்டோம் என்கிறார்கள். O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

4 அப்பொழுது நான்: இவர்கள் நீசராமே, இவர்கள் மதியற்றவர்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய வழியையும், தங்கள் தேவனுடைய நியாயத்தையும் அறியாதிருக்கிறார்கள் என்றும்; Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.

5 நான் பெரியோர்களிடத்திலே போய், அவர்களோடே பேசுவேன்; அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய வழியையும், தங்கள் தேவனுடைய நியாயத்தையும் அறிவார்களென்றும் சொன்னேன்; அவர்களோ ஏகமாய் நுகத்தடியை முறித்து, கட்டுகளை அறுத்துப்போட்டார்கள். I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

6 ஆகையால் காட்டிலிருந்து வரும் சிங்கம் அவர்களைக் கொல்லும், வனாந்தரத்திலுள்ள ஓநாய்கள் அவர்களைப் பீறும், சிவிங்கி அவர்கள் பட்டணங்களின்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கும்; அவைகளிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிறவன் எவனும் பீறப்படுவான்; அவர்கள் மீறுதல்கள் பெருகி, அவர்கள் சீர்கேடுகள் அதிகரித்தது. Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

7 இவைகளை நான் உனக்கு மன்னிப்பது எப்படி? உன் பிள்ளைகள் என்னை விட்டுவிட்டு, தெய்வம் அல்லாதவைகள்பேரில் ஆணையிடுகிறார்கள்; நான் திருப்தியாக்கின அவர்கள் விபசாரம்பண்ணி வேசிவீட்டிலே கூட்டங்கூடுகிறார்கள் How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

8 அவர்கள் கொழுத்த குதிரைகளைப்போல் காலமே எழும்பி, அவனவன் தன்தன் அயலானுடைய பெண்ஜாதியின் பின்னாலே கனைக்கிறான். They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife.

9 இவைகளை விசாரியாதிருப்பேனோ? இப்படிப்பட்ட ஜாதிக்கு என் ஆத்துமா நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டாதிருக்குமோ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

10 அதின் மதில்கள்மேலேறி அழித்துப்போடுங்கள், ஆனாலும் சர்வசங்காரம் செய்யாதிருங்கள்; அதின் கொத்தளங்களை இடித்துப்போடுங்கள்; அவைகள் கர்த்தருடையவைகள் அல்ல. Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD's.

11 இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரும், யூதா வம்சத்தாரும் எனக்கு விரோதமாய் மிகுதியும் துரோகம்பண்ணினார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD.

12 அவர் அப்படிப்பட்டவர் அல்லவென்றும், பொல்லாப்பு நம்மேல் வராது, நாம் பட்டயத்தையாகிலும், பஞ்சத்தையாகிலும் காண்பதில்லையென்றும், They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

13 தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் காற்றாய்ப்போவார்கள்; திருவாக்கு அவர்களில் இல்லை; அவர்களுக்கே அப்படி ஆகக்கடவதென்றும், அவர்கள் சொல்லிக் கர்த்தரை மறுதலித்தார்கள். And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

14 ஆகையால் சேனைகளின் தேவனாகி கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நீங்கள் இந்த வார்த்தையைச் சொன்னபடியினால், இதோ, நான் உன் வாயிலிட்ட என் வார்த்தைகளை அக்கினியும், இந்த ஜனத்தை விறகும் ஆக்குவேன், அது இவர்களைப் பட்சிக்கும். Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

17 அவர்கள் உன் குமாரரும் உன் குமாரத்திகளும் சாப்பிடவேண்டிய உன் விளைச்சலையும் உன் அப்பத்தையும் சாப்பிட்டு, உன் ஆடுகளையும் உன் மாடுகளையும் பட்சித்து, உன் திராட்சப்பழங்களையும் உன் அத்திப்பழங்களையும் சாப்பிட்டு, நீ நம்பின உன்னுடைய அரணான பட்டணங்களைப் பட்டயத்தாலே வெறுமையாக்குவார்கள். And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

18 ஆகிலும் நான் அந்நாட்களிலும் உங்களைச் சர்வசங்காரம் செய்யாதிருப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.

19 எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்கு இவைகளையெல்லாம் எதினிமித்தம் செய்தார் என்று நீங்கள் கேட்டால், அப்பொழுது நீ அவர்களைப் பார்த்து நீங்கள் என்னைவிட்டு, உங்களுடைய தேசத்திலே அந்நிய தேவர்களைச் சேவித்ததுபோல, உங்களுடையதல்லாத தேசத்திலே அந்நியர்களைச் சேவிப்பீர்களென்று சொல்வாயாக. And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your's.

20 நீங்கள் யாக்கோபின் வீட்டிலே அறிவித்து, யூதாவிலே சொல்லிக் கூறவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால், Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

21 கண்கள் இருந்தும் காணாமலும், காதுகள் இருந்தும் கேளாமலுமிருக்கிற அறிவில்லாத ஜனங்களே, கேளுங்கள். Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

22 எனக்குப் பயப்படாதிருப்பீர்களோ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அலைகள் மோதியடித்தாலும் மேற்கொள்ளாதபடிக்கும், அவைகள் இரைந்தாலும் கடவாதபடிக்கும், கடக்கக் கூடாத நித்திய பிரமாணமாக சமுத்திரத்தின் மணலை எல்லையாய் வைத்திருக்கிறவராகிய எனக்குமுன்பாக அதிராதிருப்பீர்களோ? Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

23 இந்த ஜனங்களோ முரட்டாட்டமும் கலகமுமான இருதயமுள்ளவர்கள்; முரட்டாட்டம்பண்ணிப் போய்விடுகிறார்கள். But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

24 அந்தந்தப் பருவத்திலே எங்களுக்கு மழையையும், முன்மாரியையும் பின்மாரியையும் கொடுத்து, அறுப்புக்கு நியமித்த வாரங்களை எங்களுக்குத் தற்காக்கிற எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்திருப்போம் என்று அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்திலே சொல்லுகிறதில்லை. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

25 உங்கள் அக்கிரமங்கள் இவைகளை விலக்கி, உங்கள் பாவங்கள் உங்களுக்கு நன்மையை வரவொட்டாதிருக்கிறது. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

26 குருவிபிடிக்கிறவர்கள் பதுங்குகிறது போல் பதுங்கி, மனுஷரைப் பிடிக்கக் கண்ணிகளை வைக்கிற துன்மார்க்கர் என் ஜனங்களில் காணப்படுகிறார்கள். For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

27 குருவிகளால் கூண்டு நிறைந்திருக்கிறதுபோல், அவர்கள் வீடுகள் கபடங்களால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; ஆதலால் அவர்கள் பெருகி ஐசுவரியவான்களாகிறார்கள். As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

28 கொழுத்து, சளுக்குப்பண்ணுகிறார்கள்; துன்மார்க்கனுடைய செயல்களைக் கண்டிக்காமல் விடுகிறார்கள்; திக்கற்றவனுடைய வழக்கை விசாரியாமல், தாங்கள்மாத்திரம் வாழுகிறார்கள்; எளியவர்களின் நியாயத்தைத் தீரார்கள். They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

29 இவைகளை விசாரியாதிருப்பேனோ? இப்படிப்பட்ட ஜாதிக்கு என் ஆத்துமா நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டாதிருக்குமோ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

30 திகைத்துத் திடுக்கிடத்தக்க காரியம் தேசத்திலே நடந்துவருகிறது. A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் கள்ளத்தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்; ஆசாரியர்கள் அவர்கள் மூலமாய் ஆளுகிறார்கள்; இப்படியிருப்பது என் ஜனத்துக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் முடிவிலே என்னசெய்வீர்கள்? The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

1 Niyaayanjaெykira manushanaik kanndupitippeerkalo entum, saththiyaththaith thaedukiravan unntoo entum, erusalaemin therukkalilae thirinthupaarththu, visaariththu, athin veethikalilae thaedungal; kaannpeerkalaanaal atharku mannipputh tharuvaen. Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

2 Avarkal: karththarutaiya jeevanaikkonndu sollukirom entalum, poyyaannaiyidukiraarkalae. And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely.

3 Karththaavae, ummutaiya kannkal saththiyaththai allavo Nnokkukintathu; avarkalai atikkireer, aanaalum avarkalukku Nnokaathu; avarkalai nirmoolamaakkukireer, aanaalum puththiyai aettaுkkollamaattaோm enkiraarkal; thangal mukangalaik kanmalaiyaippaarkkilum kettiyaakki, thirumpamaattaோm enkiraarkal. O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

4 Appoluthu naan: ivarkal neesaraamae, ivarkal mathiyattavarkal; karththarutaiya valiyaiyum, thangal thaevanutaiya niyaayaththaiyum ariyaathirukkiraarkal entum; Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.

5 Naan periyorkalidaththilae poy, avarkalotae paesuvaen; avarkal karththarutaiya valiyaiyum, thangal thaevanutaiya niyaayaththaiyum arivaarkalentum sonnaen; avarkalo aekamaay nukaththatiyai muriththu, kattukalai araுththuppottarkal. I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

6 Aakaiyaal kaattilirunthu varum singam avarkalaik kollum, vanaantharaththilulla onaaykal avarkalaip peeraுm, sivingi avarkal pattanangalinmael Nnokkamaayirukkum; avaikalilirunthu purappadukiravan evanum peerappaduvaan; avarkal meeraுthalkal peruki, avarkal seerkaedukal athikariththathu. Un pillaikal ennai vittuvittu, theyvam allaathavaikalpaeril aannaiyidukiraarkal; naan thirupthiyaakkina avarkal vipasaarampannnni vaesiveettilae koottangaூdukiraarkal How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

8 Avarkal koluththa kuthiraikalaippol kaalamae elumpi, avanavan thanthan ayalaanutaiya pennjaathiyin pinnaalae kanaikkiraan. They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife.

9 Ivaikalai visaariyaathiruppaeno? Ippatippatta jaathikku en aaththumaa neethiyaich sarikkattathirukkumo entu Karththar sollukiraar. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

10 Athin mathilkalmaelaeri aliththuppodungal, aanaalum sarvasangaaram seyyaathirungal; athin koththalangalai itiththuppodungal; avaikal karththarutaiyavaikal alla. Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD's.

11 Israel vamsaththaarum, yoothaa vamsaththaarum enakku virothamaay mikuthiyum thurokampannnninaarkal entu Karththar sollukiraar. For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD.

12 Avar appatippattavar allaventum, pollaappu nammael varaathu, naam pattayaththaiyaakilum, panjaththaiyaakilum kaannpathillaiyentum, They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

13 Theerkkatharisikal kaattaாyppovaarkal; thiruvaakku avarkalil illai; avarkalukkae appati aakakkadavathentum, avarkal sollik karththarai maraுthaliththaarkal. And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

14 Aakaiyaal senaikalin thaevanaaki Karththar sollukirathu ennavental: neengal intha vaarththaiyaich sonnapatiyinaal, itho, naan un vaayilitta en vaarththaikalai akkiniyum, intha janaththai virakum aakkuvaen, athu ivarkalaip patchikkum. Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

15 Israel vamsaththaarae, itho, thooraththilirunthu naan ungalmael oru jaathiyaik konnduvaruvaen entu Karththar sollukiraar; athu palaththa jaathi, athu poorvakaalaththu jaathi, avarkal nee ariyaatha paashaiyaip paesum jaathi, avarkal paesukirathu innathentu unakku vilangaathu. Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

16 Thirantha piraethakkulikalaippol avarkal amparaaththoonnikal irukkum; avarkal anaivarum paakkiramasaalikal. Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.

17 Avarkal un kumaararum un kumaaraththikalum saappidavaenntiya un vilaichchalaiyum un appaththaiyum saappittu, un aadukalaiyum un maadukalaiyum patchiththu, un thiraatchappalangalaiyum un aththippalangalaiyum saappittu, nee nampina unnutaiya arannaana pattanangalaip pattayaththaalae veraுmaiyaakkuvaarkal. And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

18 Aakilum naan annaatkalilum ungalaich sarvasangaaram seyyaathiruppaen entu Karththar sollukiraar Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.

19 Engal thaevanaakiya Karththar engalukku ivaikalaiyellaam ethinimiththam seythaar entu neengal kaettal, appoluthu nee avarkalaip paarththu neengal ennaivittu, ungalutaiya thaesaththilae anniya thaevarkalaich seviththathupola, ungalutaiyathallaatha thaesaththilae anniyarkalaich sevippeerkalentu solvaayaaka. And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your's.

20 Neengal yaakkopin veettilae ariviththu, yoothaavilae sollik kooravaenntiyathu ennavental, Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

21 Kannkal irunthum kaannaamalum, kaathukal irunthum kaelaamalumirukkira arivillaatha janangalae, kaelungal. Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

22 Enakkup payappadaathiruppeerkalo entu Karththar sollukiraar; alaikal mothiyatiththaalum maerkollaathapatikkum, avaikal irainthaalum kadavaathapatikkum, kadakkak koodaatha niththiya piramaanamaaka samuththiraththin manalai ellaiyaay vaiththirukkiravaraakiya enakkumunpaaka athiraathiruppeerkalo? 23 Intha janangalo murattattamum kalakamumaana iruthayamullavarkal; murattattampannnnip poyvidukiraarkal. But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

24 Anthanthap paruvaththilae engalukku malaiyaiyum, munmaariyaiyum pinmaariyaiyum koduththu, araுppukku niyamiththa vaarangalai engalukkuth tharkaakkira engal thaevanaakiya karththarukkup payanthiruppom entu avarkal thangal iruthayaththilae sollukirathillai. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

25 Ungal akkiramangal ivaikalai vilakki, ungal paavangal ungalukku nanmaiyai varavottathirukkirathu. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

26 Kuruvipitikkiravarkal pathungukirathu pol pathungi, manusharaip pitikkak kannnnikalai vaikkira thunmaarkkar en janangalil kaanappadukiraarkal. For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

27 Kuruvikalaal koonndu nirainthirukkirathupol, avarkal veedukal kapadangalaal nirainthirukkirathu; aathalaal avarkal peruki aisuvariyavaankalaakiraarkal. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

28 Koluththu, salukkuppannnukiraarkal; thunmaarkkanutaiya seyalkalaik kanntikkaamal vidukiraarkal; thikkattavanutaiya valakkai visaariyaamal, thaangalmaaththiram vaalukiraarkal; eliyavarkalin niyaayaththaith theeraarkal. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

29 Ivaikalai visaariyaathiruppaeno? Ippatippatta jaathikku en aaththumaa neethiyaich sarikkattathirukkumo entu Karththar sollukiraar. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

30 Thikaiththuth thidukkidaththakka kaariyam thaesaththilae nadanthuvarukirathu. A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 Theerkkatharisikal kallaththeerkkatharisanam sollukiraarkal; aasaariyarkal avarkal moolamaay aalukiraarkal; ippatiyiruppathu en janaththukkup piriyamaayirukkirathu; aanaalum mutivilae ennaseyveerkal? The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
