Proverbs 21 in Tamil

1 ராஜாவின் இருதயம் கர்த்தரின் கையில் நீர்க்கால்களைப்போலிருக்கிறது; அதைத் தமது சித்தத்தின்படி அவர் திருப்புகிறார். The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

2 மனுஷனுடைய வழியெல்லாம் அவன் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையாகத் தோன்றும்; கர்த்தரோ இருதயங்களை நிறுத்துப்பார்க்கிறார். Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

3 பலியிடுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும், நீதியும் நியாயமும் செய்வதே கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியம். To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

4 மேட்டிமையான பார்வையும், அகந்தையான மனமுமுள்ள துன்மார்க்கர் போடும் வெளிச்சம் பாவமே. An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.

5 ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவனுடைய நினைவுகள் செல்வத்துக்கும், பதறுகிறவனுடைய நினைவுகள் தரித்திரத்துக்கும் ஏதுவாகும். The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.

6 பொய்நாவினால் பொருளைச் சம்பாதிப்பது சாவைத் தேடுகிறவர்கள் விடுகிற சுவாசம்போலிருக்கும். The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

7 துன்மார்க்கர் நியாயஞ்செய்ய மனதில்லாதிருக்கிறபடியால், அவர்கள் பாழ்க்கடிக்கப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள். The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.

8 குற்றமுள்ளவன் தன் வழிகளில் மாறுபாடுள்ளவன்; சுத்தமுள்ளவனோ தன் கிரியையில் செம்மையானவன். The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.

9 சண்டைக்காரியோடே ஒரு பெரியவீட்டில் குடியிருப்பதைப்பார்க்கிலும், வீட்டின்மேல் ஒரு மூலையில் தங்கியிருப்பதே நலம். It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

10 துன்மார்க்கனுடைய மனம் பொல்லாப்பைச் செய்ய விரும்பும்; அவன் கண்களில் அவன் அயலானுக்கு இரக்கங்கிடையாது. The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.

11 பரியாசக்காரனைத் தண்டிக்கும்போது பேதை ஞானமடைவான்; ஞானவான் போதிக்கப்படும்போது அறிவடைவான். When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.

12 நீதிபரர் துன்மார்க்கருடைய வீட்டைக் கவனித்துப் பார்க்கிறார்; துன்மார்க்கரைத் தீங்கில் கவிழ்த்துப்போடுவார். The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

13 ஏழையின் கூக்குரலுக்குத் தன் செவியை அடைத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவன், தானும் சத்தமிட்டுக் கூப்பிடும்போது கேட்கப்படமாட்டான். Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

14 அந்தரங்கமாய்க் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட வெகுமதி கோபத்தைத் தணிக்கும்; மடியிலுள்ள பரிதானம் குரோதத்தை ஆற்றும். A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.

15 நியாயந்தீர்ப்பது நீதிமானுக்குச் சந்தோஷமும், அக்கிரமக்காரருக்கோ அழிவுமாம். It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

16 விவேகத்தின் வழியை விட்டுத் தப்பிநடக்கிற மனுஷன் செத்தவர்களின் கூட்டΤ்தில் தாபரிப்பாΩ். The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

17 சிற்றின்பப்பிரியன் தРοத்திரனாவான்; மதுபானத்தையும் எண்ணெயையும் விரும்புகிறவன் ஐசுவரியவானாவதில்லை. He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

18 நீதிமானுக்குப் பதிலாகத் துன்மார்க்கனும், செம்மையானவனுக்குப் பதிலாக துரோகியும் மீட்கும்பொருளாவார்கள். The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.

19 சண்டைக்காரியும் கோபக்காரியுமான ஸ்திரீயுடன் குடியிருப்பதைப் பார்க்கிலும் வனாந்தரத்தில் குடியிருப்பது நலம். It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

20 வேண்டிய திரவியமும் எண்ணெயும் ஞானவானுடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தில் உண்டு; மூடனோ அதைச் செலவழித்துப்போடுகிறான். There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.

21 நீதியையும் தயையையும் பின்பற்றுகிறவன் ஜீவனையும் நீதியையும் மகிமையையும் கண்டடைவான். He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

22 பலவான்களுடைய பட்டணத்தின் மதிலை ஞானமுள்ளவன் ஏறிப்பிடித்து, அவர்கள் நம்பின அரணை இடித்துப்போடுவான். A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.

23 தன் வாயையும் தன் நாவையும் காக்கிறவன் தன் ஆத்துமாவை இடுக்கண்களுக்கு விலக்கிக் காக்கிறான். Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

24 அகங்காரமும் இடும்புமுள்ளவனுக்குப் பரியாசக்காரனென்று பெயர், அவன் அகந்தையான சினத்தோடே நடக்கிறான். Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

25 சோம்பேறியின் கைகள் வேலைசெய்யச் சம்மதியாததினால், அவன் ஆசை அவனைக் கொல்லும். The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

26 அவன் நாள்தோறும் ஆவலுடன் இச்சிக்கிறான்; நீதிமானோ பிசினித்தனமில்லாமல் கொடுப்பான். He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

27 துன்மார்க்கருடைய பலி அருவருப்பானது; அதைத் துர்ச்சிந்தையோடே செலுத்தினாலோ எத்தனை அதிகமாய் அருவருக்கப்படும். The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

28 பொய்ச்சாட்சிக்காரன் கெட்டுப்போவான்; செவிகொடுக்கிறவனோ எப்பொழுதும் பேசத்தக்கவனாவான். A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.

29 துன்மார்க்கன் தன் முகத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்துகிறான்; செம்மையானவனோ தன் வழியை நேர்ப்படுத்துகிறான். A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.

30 கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமான ஞானமுமில்லை, புத்தியுமில்லை, ஆலோசனையுமில்லை. There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

31 குதிரை யுத்தநாளுக்கு ஆயத்தமாக்கப்படும்; ஜெயமோ கர்த்தரால் வரும். The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

1 Raajaavin iruthayam karththarin kaiyil neerkkaalkalaippolirukkirathu; athaith thamathu siththaththinpati avar thiruppukiraar. The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

2 Manushanutaiya valiyellaam avan paarvaikkuch semmaiyaakath thontum; karththaro iruthayangalai niraுththuppaarkkiraar. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

3 Paliyiduvathaippaarkkilum, neethiyum niyaayamum seyvathae karththarukkup piriyam. To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

4 Maettimaiyaana paarvaiyum, akanthaiyaana manamumulla thunmaarkkar podum velichcham paavamae. An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.

5 Jaakkirathaiyullavanutaiya ninaivukal selvaththukkum, patharaுkiravanutaiya ninaivukal thariththiraththukkum aethuvaakum. The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.

8 Kuttamullavan than valikalil maaraுpaadullavan; suththamullavano than kiriyaiyil semmaiyaanavan. The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.

9 Sanntaikkaariyotae oru periyaveettil kutiyiruppathaippaarkkilum, veettinmael oru moolaiyil thangiyiruppathae nalam. It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

17 Sittinpappiriyan thaРοththiranaavaan; mathupaanaththaiyum ennnneyaiyum virumpukiravan aisuvariyavaanaavathillai. He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

18 Neethimaanukkup pathilaakath thunmaarkkanum, semmaiyaanavanukkup pathilaaka thurokiyum meetkumporulaavaarkal. The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.

21 Neethiyaiyum thayaiyaiyum pinpattaுkiravan jeevanaiyum neethiyaiyum makimaiyaiyum kanndataivaan. He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

22 Palavaankalutaiya pattanaththin mathilai njaanamullavan aerippitiththu, avarkal nampina arannai itiththuppoduvaan. A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.

23 Than vaayaiyum than naavaiyum kaakkiravan than aaththumaavai idukkannkalukku vilakkik kaakkiraan. Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

24 Akangaaramum idumpumullavanukkup pariyaasakkaaranentu peyar, avan akanthaiyaana sinaththotae nadakkiraan. Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

25 Sompaeriyin kaikal vaelaiseyyach sammathiyaathathinaal, avan aasai avanaik kollum. The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

26 Avan naalthoraுm aavaludan ichchikkiraan; neethimaano pisiniththanamillaamal koduppaan. He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

27 Thunmaarkkarutaiya pali aruvaruppaanathu; athaith thurchchinthaiyotae seluththinaalo eththanai athikamaay aruvarukkappadum. The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

28 Poychchaாtchikkaaran kettuppovaan; sevikodukkiravano eppoluthum paesaththakkavanaavaan. A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.

29 Thunmaarkkan than mukaththaik katinappaduththukiraan; semmaiyaanavano than valiyai naerppaduththukiraan. A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.

30 Karththarukku virothamaana njaanamumillai, puththiyumillai, aalosanaiyumillai. There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

31 Kuthirai yuththanaalukku aayaththamaakkappadum; jeyamo karththaraal varum. The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
