Genesis 18 in Tamil

1 பின்பு, கர்த்தர் மம்ரேயின் சமபூமியிலே அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமானார். அவன் பகலின் உஷ்ணவேளையில் கூடாரவாசலிலே உட்கார்ந்திருந்து, And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

2 தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப் பார்க்கும்போது, இதோ, மூன்று புருஷர் அவனுக்கு எதிரே நின்றார்கள்; அவர்களைக் கண்டவுடனே, அவன் கூடாரவாசலிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு எதிர் கொண்டு ஓடித் தரை மட்டும் குனிந்து; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

3 ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய கண்களில் எனக்குக் கிருபை கிடைத்ததானால், நீர் உமது அடியேனைவிட்டுக் கடந்து போகவேண்டாம். And said, My LORD, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

4 கொஞ்சம் தண்ணீர் கொண்டு வரட்டும், உங்கள் கால்களைக் கழுவி, மரத்தடியில் சாய்ந்துகொண்டிருங்கள். Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

5 நீங்கள் உங்கள் இருதயங்களைத் திடப்படுத்தக் கொஞ்சம் அப்பம் கொண்டுவருகிறேன்; அப்புறம் நீங்கள் உங்கள் வழியே போகலாம்; இதற்காகவே அடியேன் இடம்வரைக்கும் வந்தீர்கள் என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நீ சொன்னபடி செய் என்றார்கள். And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

6 அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் தீவிரமாய்க் கூடாரத்தில் சாராளிடத்திற்குப் போய்: நீ சீக்கிரமாய் மூன்றுபடி மெல்லிய மாவு எடுத்துப் பிசைந்து, அப்பம் சுடு என்றான். And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

7 ஆபிரகாம் மாட்டுமந்தைக்கு ஓடி, ஒரு நல்ல இளங்கன்றைப் பிடித்து, வேலைக்காரன் கையிலே கொடுத்தான்; அவன் அதைச் சீக்கிரத்திலே சமைத்தான். And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

8 ஆபிரகாம் வெண்ணெயையும் பாலையும் சமைப்பித்த கன்றையும் எடுத்து வந்து, அவர்கள் முன்பாக வைத்து, அவர்கள் அருகே மரத்தடியில் நின்று கொண்டிருந்தான்; அவர்கள் புசித்தார்கள். And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

9 அவர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: உன் மனைவி சாராள் எங்கே என்றார்கள்? அதோ கூடாரத்தில் இருக்கிறாள் என்றான். And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

10 அப்பொழுது அவர்: ஒரு உற்பவகாலத்திட்டத்தில் நிச்சயமாய் உன்னிடத்திற்கு திரும்ப வருவேன்; அப்பொழுது உன் மனைவியாகிய சாராளுக்கு ஒரு குமாரன் இருப்பான் என்றார். சாராள் அவருக்குப் பின்புறமாய்க் கூடாரவாசலில் இதைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தாள். And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11 ஆபிரகாமும் சாராளும் வயது சென்று முதிர்ந்தவர்களாயிருந்தார்கள்; ஸ்திரீகளுக்குள்ள வழிபாடு சாராளுக்கு நின்றுபோயிற்று. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

12 ஆகையால், சாராள் தன் உள்ளத்திலே நகைத்து: நான் கிழவியும், என் ஆண்டவன் முதிர்ந்த வயதுள்ளவருமானபின்பு, எனக்கு இன்பம் உண்டாயிருக்குமோ என்றாள். Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

13 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: சாராள் நகைத்து, நான் கிழவியாயிருக்கப் பிள்ளைபெறுவது மெய்யோ என்று சொல்வானேன்? And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14 கர்த்தரால் ஆகாத காரியம் உண்டோ? உற்பவகாலத்திட்டத்தில் உன்னிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பவருவேன்; அப்பொழுது சாராளுக்கு ஒரு குமாரன் இருப்பான் என்றார். Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15 சாராள் பயந்து, நான் நகைக்கவில்லை என்று மறுத்தாள். அதற்கு அவர்: இல்லை, நீ நகைத்தாய் என்றார். Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

16 பின்பு அந்தப் புருஷர் எழுந்து அவ்விடம் விட்டு, சோதோமை நோக்கிப் போனார்கள்; ஆபிரகாமும் அவர்களோடே கூடப்போய் வழிவிட்டனுப்பினான். And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

17 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர்: ஆபிரகாம் பெரிய பலத்த ஜாதியாவதினாலும், அவனுக்குள் பூமியிலுள்ள சகல ஜாதிகளும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதினாலும், And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 நான் செய்யப்போகிறதை ஆபிரகாமுக்கு மறைப்பேனோ? Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 கர்த்தர் ஆபிரகாமுக்குச் சொன்னதை நிறைவேற்றும்படியாய் அவன் தன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும், தனக்குப் பின்வரும் தன் வீட்டாருக்கும்: நீங்கள் நீதியையும் நியாயத்தையும் செய்து, கர்த்தருடைய வழியைக் காத்து நடவுங்கள் என்று கட்டளையிடுவான் என்பதை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன் என்றார். For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

20 பின்பு கர்த்தர் சோதோம் கொமோராவின் கூக்குரல் பெரிதாயிருப்பதினாலும், அவைகளின் பாவம் மிகவும் கொடிதாயிருப்பதினாலும், And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21 நான் இறங்கிப்போய், என்னிடத்தில் வந்து எட்டின அதின் கூக்குரலின்படியே அவர்கள் செய்திருக்கிறார்களோ இல்லையோ என்று பார்த்து அறிவேன் என்றார். I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

22 அப்பொழுது அந்தப் புருஷர் அவ்விடம் விட்டுச் சோதோமை நோக்கிப் போனார்கள்; ஆபிரகாமோ பின்னும் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தான். And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

23 அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் சமீபமாய்ச் சேர்ந்து: துன்மார்க்கனோடே நீதிமானையும் அழிப்பீரோ? And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 பட்டணத்துக்குள்ளே ஒருவேளை ஐம்பது நீதிமான்கள் இருப்பார்கள், அதற்குள் இருக்கும் அந்த ஐம்பது நீதிமான்கள் நிமித்தம் இரட்சியாமல் அந்த ஸ்தலத்தை அழிப்பீரோ? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 துன்மார்க்கனோடே நீதிமானையும் சங்கரிப்பது உமக்குத் தூரமாயிருப்பதாக; நீதிமானையும் துன்மார்க்கனையும் சமமாய் நடப்பிப்பது உமக்குத்தூரமாயிருப்பதாக; சர்வலோக நியாயாதிபதி நீதிசெய்யாதிருப்பாரோ என்றான். That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26 அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: நான் சோதோமில் ஐம்பது நீதிமான்களைக் கண்டால், அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் அந்த ஸ்தலமுழுதையும் இரட்சிப்பேன் என்றார். And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27 அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: இதோ, தூளும் சாம்பலுமாயிருக்கிற அடியேன் ஆண்டவரோடே பேசத்துணிந்தேன். And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD, which am but dust and ashes:

28 ஒருவேளை ஐம்பது நீதிமான்களுக்கு ஐந்துபேர் குறைந்திருப்பார்கள்; அந்த ஐந்துபேர் நிமித்தம் பட்டணமுழுதையும் அழிப்பீரோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: நான் நாற்பத்தைந்து நீதிமான்களை அங்கே கண்டால், அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார். Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

29 அவன் பின்னும் அவரோடே பேசி: நாற்பது நீதிமான்கள் அங்கே காணப்பட்டாலோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: நாற்பது நீதிமான்கள்நிமித்தம் அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார். And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

30 அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் இன்னும் பேசுகிறேன், ஆண்டவருக்குக் கோபம் வராமலிருப்பதாக; முப்பது நீதிமான்கள் அங்கே காணப்பட்டாலோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: நான் முப்பது நீதிமான்களை அங்கே கண்டால், அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார். And he said unto him, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

31 அப்பொழுது அவன்: இதோ ஆண்டவரோடே பேசத்துணிந்தேன்; இருபது நீதிமான்கள் அங்கே காணப்பட்டாலோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: இருபது நீதிமான்கள்நிமித்தம் அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார். And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

32 அப்பொழுது அவன்: ஆண்டவருக்குக் கோபம் வராதிருப்பதாக; நான் இன்னும் இந்த ஒருவிசைமாத்திரம் பேசுகிறேன்; பத்து நீதிமான்கள் அங்கே காணப்பட்டாலோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: பத்து நீதிமான்கள் நிமித்தம் அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார். And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

33 கர்த்தர் ஆபிரகாமோடே பேசிமுடிந்தபின்பு போய்விட்டார்; ஆபிரகாமும் தன்னுடைய இடத்துக்குத் திரும்பினான். And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

1 Pinpu, Karththar mamraeyin samapoomiyilae avanukkuth tharisanamaanaar. Avan pakalin ushnavaelaiyil koodaaravaasalilae utkaarnthirunthu, And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

2 Than kannkalai aeraெduththup paarkkumpothu, itho, moontu purushar avanukku ethirae nintarkal; avarkalaik kanndavudanae, avan koodaaravaasalilirunthu avarkalukku ethir konndu otith tharai mattum kuninthu; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

3 Aanndavarae, ummutaiya kannkalil enakkuk kirupai kitaiththathaanaal, neer umathu atiyaenaivittuk kadanthu pokavaenndaam. And said, My LORD, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

4 Konjam thannnneer konndu varattum, ungal kaalkalaik kaluvi, maraththatiyil saaynthukonntirungal. Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

5 Neengal ungal iruthayangalaith thidappaduththak konjam appam konnduvarukiraேn; appuram neengal ungal valiyae pokalaam; itharkaakavae atiyaen idamvaraikkum vantheerkal entan. Atharku avarkal: nee sonnapati sey entarkal. And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

6 Appoluthu Abraham theeviramaayk koodaaraththil saaraalidaththirkup poy: nee seekkiramaay moontupati melliya maavu eduththup pisainthu, appam sudu entan. And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

7 Abraham maattumanthaikku oti, oru nalla ilangantaip pitiththu, vaelaikkaaran kaiyilae koduththaan; avan athaich seekkiraththilae samaiththaan. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

8 Abraham vennnneyaiyum paalaiyum samaippiththa kantaiyum eduththu vanthu, avarkal munpaaka vaiththu, avarkal arukae maraththatiyil nintu konntirunthaan; avarkal pusiththaarkal. And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

9 Avarkal avanai Nnokki: un manaivi saaraal engae entarkal? Atho koodaaraththil irukkiraal entan. And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

10 Appoluthu avar: oru urpavakaalaththittaththil nichchayamaay unnidaththirku thirumpa varuvaen; appoluthu un manaiviyaakiya saaraalukku oru kumaaran iruppaan entar. Saaraal avarukkup pinpuramaayk koodaaravaasalil ithaik kaettukkonntirunthaal. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11 Aapirakaamum saaraalum vayathu sentu muthirnthavarkalaayirunthaarkal; sthireekalukkulla valipaadu saaraalukku nintupoyittaு. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

12 Aakaiyaal, saaraal than ullaththilae nakaiththu: naan kilaviyum, en aanndavan muthirntha vayathullavarumaanapinpu, enakku inpam unndaayirukkumo ental. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

13 Appoluthu Karththar aapirakaamai Nnokki: saaraal nakaiththu, naan kilaviyaayirukkap pillaiperaுvathu meyyo entu solvaanaen? And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14 Karththaraal aakaatha kaariyam unntoo? Urpavakaalaththittaththil unnidaththirkuth thirumpavaruvaen; appoluthu saaraalukku oru kumaaran iruppaan entar. Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15 Saaraal payanthu, naan nakaikkavillai entu maraுththaal. Atharku avar: illai, nee nakaiththaay entar. Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

16 Pinpu anthap purushar elunthu avvidam vittu, sothomai Nnokkip ponaarkal; aapirakaamum avarkalotae koodappoy valivittanuppinaan. And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

17 Appoluthu Karththar: Abraham periya palaththa jaathiyaavathinaalum, avanukkul poomiyilulla sakala jaathikalum aaseervathikkappaduvathinaalum, And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Naan seyyappokirathai aapirakaamukku maraippaeno? Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 Karththar aapirakaamukkuch sonnathai niraivaettaுmpatiyaay avan than pillaikalukkum, thanakkup pinvarum than veettarukkum: neengal neethiyaiyum niyaayaththaiyum seythu, karththarutaiya valiyaik kaaththu nadavungal entu kattalaiyiduvaan enpathai arinthirukkiraேn entar. For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

20 Pinpu Karththar sothom komoraavin kookkural perithaayiruppathinaalum, avaikalin paavam mikavum kotithaayiruppathinaalum, And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21 Naan irangippoy, ennidaththil vanthu ettina athin kookkuralinpatiyae avarkal seythirukkiraarkalo illaiyo entu paarththu arivaen entar. I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

22 Appoluthu anthap purushar avvidam vittuch sothomai Nnokkip ponaarkal; aapirakaamo pinnum karththarukku munpaaka nintukonntirunthaan. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

23 Appoluthu Abraham sameepamaaych sernthu: thunmaarkkanotae neethimaanaiyum alippeero? And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 Pattanaththukkullae oruvaelai aimpathu neethimaankal iruppaarkal, atharkul irukkum antha aimpathu neethimaankal nimiththam iratchiyaamal antha sthalaththai alippeero? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 Thunmaarkkanotae neethimaanaiyum sangarippathu umakkuth thooramaayiruppathaaka; neethimaanaiyum thunmaarkkanaiyum samamaay nadappippathu umakkuththooramaayiruppathaaka; sarvaloka niyaayaathipathi neethiseyyaathiruppaaro entan. That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26 Atharkuk Karththar: naan sothomil aimpathu neethimaankalaik kanndaal, avarkal nimiththam antha sthalamuluthaiyum iratchippaen entar. And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27 Appoluthu Abraham pirathiyuththaramaaka: itho, thoolum saampalumaayirukkira atiyaen aanndavarotae paesaththunninthaen. And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD, which am but dust and ashes:

28 Oruvaelai aimpathu neethimaankalukku ainthupaer kurainthiruppaarkal; antha ainthupaer nimiththam pattanamuluthaiyum alippeero entan. Atharku avar: naan naarpaththainthu neethimaankalai angae kanndaal, athai alippathillai entar. Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

29 Avan pinnum avarotae paesi: naarpathu neethimaankal angae kaanappattalo entan. Atharku avar: naarpathu neethimaankalnimiththam athai alippathillai entar. And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

30 Appoluthu avan: naan innum paesukiraேn, aanndavarukkuk kopam varaamaliruppathaaka; muppathu neethimaankal angae kaanappattalo entan. Atharku avar: naan muppathu neethimaankalai angae kanndaal, athai alippathillai entar. And he said unto him, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

31 Appoluthu avan: itho aanndavarotae paesaththunninthaen; irupathu neethimaankal angae kaanappattalo entan. Atharku avar: irupathu neethimaankalnimiththam athai alippathillai entar. And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

32 Appoluthu avan: aanndavarukkuk kopam varaathiruppathaaka; naan innum intha oruvisaimaaththiram paesukiraேn; paththu neethimaankal angae kaanappattalo entan. Atharku avar: paththu neethimaankal nimiththam athai alippathillai entar. And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

33 Karththar aapirakaamotae paesimutinthapinpu poyvittar; aapirakaamum thannutaiya idaththukkuth thirumpinaan. And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
