எசேக்கியேல் 25
12 கர்த்தாராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால்: ஏதோம் யூதா வம்சத்தாரிடத்தில் குரோதந்தீர்த்துபழிவாங்கி, பெரிய குற்றஞ்செய்தபடியினால்,
13 கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்: நான் ஏதோம் தேசத்துக்கு விரோதமாக என் கையை நீட்டி அதில் மனுஷரையும் மிருகங்களையும் இராதபடிக்குச் சங்காரம்பண்ணி, அதைத் தேமான் துவக்கித் தேதான்மட்டும் வனாந்தரமாக்குவேன்; பட்டயத்தால் விழுவார்கள்.
14 நான் இஸ்ரவேலாகிய என் ஜனத்தின் கையினால் ஏதோமினிடத்தில் பழிவாங்குவேன்; அவர்கள் என் கோபத்தின்படியும் என் உக்கிரத்தின்படியும் ஏதோமுக்குச் செய்வார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் பழிவாங்குவது இன்னதென்று அறிந்துகொள்வாய் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
12 Thus saith the Lord God; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
13 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.
14 And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord God.
