மரத்தினால் செய்யப்பட்ட பலிபீடத்தின் உயரம் மூன்று முழமும், அதின் நீளம் இரண்டு முழமுமாயிருந்தது; அதின் கோடிகளும் அதின் விளிம்புகளும் அதின் பக்கங்களும் மரத்தினால் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது; அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: இது கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருக்கிற பீடம் என்றார்.

யோசேப்பின் உள்ளம் தன் சகோதரனுக்காகப் பொங்கினதால், அவன் அழுகிறதற்கு இடம் தேடி, வேகமாக அறைக்குள்ளே போய், அங்கே அழுதான்.

பிறகு அவன் அந்த அறையை விட்டு வெளியே ஓடினான். தன் சகோதரன் பென்யமீனைத் தான் மிகவும் விரும்புவதை அவனுக்கு உணர்த்தப் பெரிதும் விரும்பினான். அவனுக்கு அழவேண்டும்போல இருந்தது. ஆனால் தான் அழுவதைத் தன் சகோதரர்கள் பார்த்துவிடக் கூடாதே என்று அஞ்சினான். இதனால்தன் அறைக்குச் சென்று அழுதான்.
