ஆதலால் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் சத்துருக்களுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கக் கூடாமல், தங்கள் சத்துருக்களுக்கு முதுகைக் காட்டினார்கள்; அவர்கள் சாபத்தீடானார்கள்; நீங்கள் சாபத்தீடானதை உங்கள் நடுவிலிருந்து நிக்கிரகம்பண்ணாவிட்டால், இனி உங்களோடே இரேன்.

நீ என்னிடத்தில்: நாங்கள் எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நம்புகிறோம் என்று சொல்வாயாகில், அவருடைய மேடைகளையும் அவருடைய பலிபீடங்களையும் அல்லவோ எசேக்கியா அகற்றி, யூதாவையும், எருசலேமையும் நோக்கி: இந்தப் பலிபீடத்தின்முன் பணியுங்கள் என்றானே.

“ஆனால் நீ, ‘நாங்கள் எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் மீது எங்களுக்கு உதவுமாறு நம்பிக்கை வைத்தோம்’ என்று கூறலாம். ஆனால் நான் கூறுகிறேன், எசேக்கியா கர்த்தருடைய பலி பீடங்களையும் தொழுதுகொள்வதற்குரிய உயர் இடங்களையும் அழித்துவிட்டான். எசேக்கியா யூதா மற்றும் எருசலேமிடம் இவற்றைச் சொன்னான்: ‘எருசலேமில் உள்ள இந்த ஒரே ஒரு பலிபீடத்தை மட்டும் நீங்கள் தொழுது கொள்ளவேண்டும்’.
