சிம்சோன் தனக்குக் கைலாகுகொடுத்து நடத்துகிற பிள்ளையாண்டானோடே, வீட்டைத் தாங்குகிற தூண்களிலே நான் சாய்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கும்படி அவைகளை நான் தடவிப்பார்க்கட்டும் என்றான்.

ஒரு பணியாள் அவனது கைகளைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான். சிம்சோன் அவனிடம், “இக்கோவிலைத் தாங்கி நிற்கும் தூண்களை நான் தொடுமாறு என்னை நிறுத்து. நான் அவற்றில் சாய்ந்துகொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்” என்றான்.
