சங்கீதம் 54
1 தேவனே, உமது நாமத்தினிமித்தம் என்னை இரட்சித்து உமது வல்லமையினால் எனக்கு நியாயஞ்செய்யும்.
2 தேவனே, என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக்கேட்டு, என் வாயின் வார்த்தைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடும்.
3 அந்நியர் எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறார்கள்; கொடியர் என் பிராணனை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள்; தேவனைத் தங்களுக்கு முன்பாக நிறுத்தி நோக்கார்கள். (சேலா.)
4 இதோ, தேவன் எனக்குச் சகாயர்; ஆண்டவர் என் ஆத்துமாவை ஆதரிக்கிறவர்களோடே இருக்கிறார்.
5 அவர் என் சத்துருக்களுக்குத் தீமைக்குத் தீமையைச் சரிக்கட்டுவார், உமது சத்தியத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்களை நிர்மூலமாக்கும்.
6 உற்சாகத்துடன் நான் உமக்குப்பலியிடுவேன்; கர்த்தாவே, உமது நாமத்தைத் துதிப்பேன், அது நலமானது.
1 Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.
