Psalm 8 in Tamil

1 எங்கள் ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய நாமம் பூமியெங்கும் எவ்வளவு மேன்மையுள்ளதாயிருக்கிறது! உம்முடைய மகத்துவத்தை வானங்களுக்கு மேலாக வைத்தீர். O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

2 பகைஞனையும் பழிகாரனையும் அடக்கிப்போட, தேவரீர் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களினிமித்தம் குழந்தைகள் பாலகர் வாயினால் பெலன் உண்டுபண்ணினீர். Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 உமது விரல்களின் கிரியையாகிய உம்முடைய வானங்களையும், நீர் ஸ்தாபித்த சந்திரனையும், நட்சத்திரங்களையும் நான் பார்க்கும்போது, When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 மனுஷனை நீர் நினைக்கிறதற்கும், மனுஷகுமாரனை நீர் விசாரிக்கிறதற்கும் அவன் எம்மாத்திரம் என்கிறேன். What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 நீர் அவனை தேவதூதரிலும் சற்று சிறியவனாக்கினீர்; மகிமையினாலும் கனத்தினாலும் அவனை முடிசூட்டினீர். For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

6 உம்முடைய கரத்தின் கிரியைகளின்மேல் நீர் அவனுக்கு ஆளுகைதந்து, சகலத்தையும் அவனுடைய பாதங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினீர். Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 ஆடுமாடுகளெல்லாவற்றையும், காட்டுமிருகங்களையும், All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளையும், சமுத்திரத்து மச்சங்களையும், கடல்களில் சஞ்சரிக்கிறவைகளையும் அவனுடைய பாதங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினீர். The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

1 Engal aanndavaraakiya karththaavae, ummutaiya naamam poomiyengum evvalavu maenmaiyullathaayirukkirathu! Ummutaiya makaththuvaththai vaanangalukku maelaaka vaiththeer. O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

2 Pakainjanaiyum palikaaranaiyum adakkippoda, thaevareer ummutaiya saththurukkalinimiththam kulanthaikal paalakar vaayinaal pelan unndupannnnineer. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 Umathu viralkalin kiriyaiyaakiya ummutaiya vaanangalaiyum, neer sthaapiththa santhiranaiyum, natchaththirangalaiyum naan paarkkumpothu, When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 Manushanai neer ninaikkiratharkum, manushakumaaranai neer visaarikkiratharkum avan emmaaththiram enkiraேn. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 Neer avanai thaevathootharilum sattaு siriyavanaakkineer; makimaiyinaalum kanaththinaalum avanai mutisoottineer. For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

6 Ummutaiya karaththin kiriyaikalinmael neer avanukku aalukaithanthu, sakalaththaiyum avanutaiya paathangalukkuk geelppaduththineer. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 Aadumaadukalellaavattaைyum, kaattumirukangalaiyum, All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 Aakaayaththup paravaikalaiyum, samuththiraththu machchangalaiyum, kadalkalil sanjarikkiravaikalaiyum avanutaiya paathangalukkuk geelppaduththineer. The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
