காத்தேப்பேர் ஊரானாகிய அமித்தாய் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் குமாரன் யோனா என்னும் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனைக்கொண்டு இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லியிருந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே, அவன் ஆமாத்தின் எல்லை முதற்கொண்டு சமபூமியின் கடல்மட்டுமுள்ள இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லைகளைத் திரும்பச் சேர்த்துகொண்டான்.
