Daniel 6:13
Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regards not you, O king, nor the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்ட யூதேயா தேசத்தின் மக்களில் தானியேல் என்பவன் உம்மையும் நீர் கையெழுத்திட்டுக்கொடுத்த கட்டளையையும் மதிக்காமல், தினம் மூன்று வேளையும் தான்செய்யும் விண்ணப்பத்தைச் செய்கிறான் என்றார்கள்.

அந்த ஆட்கள் அரசனிடம், “தானியேல் என்ற பெயருடைய அந்த மனிதன் உமக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்துவதில்லை. தானியேல் யூதாவிலிருந்து கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட கைதிகளில் ஒருவன். தானியேல் நீர் கையெழுத்திட்ட சட்டத்தைப்பற்றி கவலைப்படவில்லை. தானியேல் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் மூன்று முறை தன் தேவனிடத்தில் ஜெபம் பண்ணி உதவிக்காக மன்றாடுகிறான்” என்றனர்.
