நான் நினைத்திருக்கிறபடியே நடக்கும்; நான் நிர்ணயித்தபடியே நிலைநிற்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் ஆணையிட்டுச் சொன்னார்.

பூமியின் குடிகள் எல்லாம் ஒன்றுமில்லையென்று எண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள்; அவர் தமது சித்தத்தின்படியே வானத்தின் சேனையையும் பூமியின் குடிகளையும் நடத்துகிறார், அவருடைய கையைத் தடுத்து அவரை நோக்கி: என்ன செய்கிறீரென்று சொல்லத்தக்கவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லை என்றேன்.

கர்த்தர் ஆமோத்சின் குமாரனாகிய Isaiahவை நோக்கி: நீ போய் உன் அரையிலிருக்கிற இரட்டை அவிழ்த்து, உன் கால்களிலிருக்கிற பாதரட்சகளைக் கழற்று என்றார்; அவன் அப்படியே செய்து, வஸ்திரமில்லாமலும் வெறுங்காலுமாய் நடந்தான்.

எசேக்கியா ராஜா அரசாண்ட பதினாலாம் வருஷத்திலே அசீரியா ராஜாவாகிய சனகெரிப் Judeவிலிருக்கிற அரணான சகல பட்டணங்களுக்கும் விரோதமாய் வந்து, அவைகளைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டான்.

அந்தத்திலுள்ளவைகளை ஆதிமுதற்கொண்டும், இன்னும் செய்யப்படாதவைகளைப் பூர்வகாலமுதற்கொண்டும் அறிவிக்கிறேன்; என் ஆலோசனை நிலைநிற்கும், எனக்குச் சித்தமானவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்வேன் என்று சொல்லி,

எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனுக்கும், அவன் ஊழியக்காரருக்கும் அவன் பிரபுக்களுக்கும், அவனுடைய எல்லா ஜனத்துக்கும்,

நீங்கள் குடித்து, வெறித்து, வாந்திபண்ணி, நான் உங்களுக்குள் அனுப்பும் பட்டயத்தாலே எழுந்திராதபடிக்கு விழுங்கள் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று நீ அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லு.

தக்பானேசிலே கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை Jeremiahவுக்கு உண்டாகி அவர்:

ஆனாலும் பட்டயத்துக்குத் தப்புகிறவர்கள் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து Judeதேசத்துக்குக் கொஞ்சம் பேராய்த் திரும்புவார்கள்; அப்படியே எகிப்துதேசத்திலே தங்கியிருக்க வந்த Judeவில் மீதியான அனைவரும் அக்காலத்திலே தங்களுடைய வார்த்தையோ, என் வார்த்தையோ, யாருடைய வார்த்தை மெய்ப்படும் என்று அறிவார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது எகிப்துதேசத்தின் குடிகளெல்லாரும் நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்; அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாருக்கு நாணற்கோலாயிருந்தார்களே.
