எரேமியா 17
1 யூதாவின் பாவம் இரும்பெழுத்தாணியிலும், வைரத்தின் நுனியினாலும் எழுதப்பட்டு, அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்தின் பலகையிலும் உங்கள் பலிபீடங்களுடைய கொம்புகளிலும் பதிந்திருக்கிறது.
2 உயர்ந்த மேடுகளின் பச்சையான மரங்களண்டையில் இருந்த அவர்களுடைய பலிபீடங்களையும் அவர்களுடைய தோப்புகளையும் அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகள் நினைக்கும்படி இப்படிச் செய்திருக்கிறது.
3 வயல்நிலத்திலுள்ள என் மலையே, நீ உன் எல்லைகளிலெல்லாம் செய்த பாவத்தினிமித்தம் நான் உன் ஆஸ்தியையும், உன் எல்லாப் பொக்கிஷங்களையும் உன் மேடைகளையுங்கூடச் சூறையிடுவிப்பேன்.
4 அப்படியே நான் உனக்குக் கொடுத்த சுதந்தரத்தை நீதானே விட்டுவிடுவாய்; நீ அறியாத தேசத்தில் உன்னை உன் சத்துருக்களுக்கு அடிமையுமாக்குவேன்; என்றென்றைக்கும் எரியத்தக்க என் கோபத்தின் அக்கினியை மூட்டிவிட்டீர்களே.
1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;
2 Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.
3 O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.
4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.
