Jeremiah 44 in Tamil

1 எகிப்துதேசத்தில் குடியேறி, மிக்தோலிலும், தக்பானேசிலும், நோப்பிலும், பத்ரோஸ் சீமையிலும் வாசமான எல்லா யூதரையுங்குறித்து, எரேமியாவுக்கு உண்டான வசனம்: The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

2 இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நான் எருசலேமின்மேலும், யூதாவின் சகல பட்டணங்களின் மேலும், வரப்பண்ணின தீங்கையெல்லாம் நீங்கள் கண்டீர்கள். Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

3 இதோ, அவர்களும் நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களும் அறியாத தேவர்களுக்கு தூபங்காட்டவும், ஆராதனை செய்யவும் போய் எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டும்படிக்குச் செய்த அவர்களுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம், அவைகள் இந்நாளில் பாழாய்க்கிடக்கிறது, அவைகளில் குடியில்லை. Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.

4 நான் வெறுக்கிற இந்த அருவருப்பான காரியத்தைச் செய்யாதிருங்களென்று, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய என் ஊழியக்காரரைக்கொண்டு உங்களுக்கு ஏற்கனவே சொல்லியனுப்பிக்கொண்டிருந்தேன். Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

5 ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் அந்நிய தேவர்களுக்கு தூபங்காட்டாதபடிக்கு, என் சொல்லைக் கேளாமலும், பொல்லாப்பை விட்டுத் திரும்புவதற்குச் செவியைச் சாய்க்காமலும் போனார்கள். But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

6 ஆகையால், என் உக்கிரமும் என் கோபமும் மூண்டு, யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும் எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும் பற்றியெரிந்தது; அவைகள் இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி வனாந்தரமும் பாழுமாய்ப் போயிற்று. Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

7 இப்போதும் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனும் சேனைகளின் தேவனுமாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், நீங்கள் யூதாவில் ஒருவரையும் உங்களுக்கு மீதியாக வைக்காமல், உங்களில் புருஷனையும் ஸ்திரீயையும் பிள்ளையையும் பால்குடிக்கிற குழந்தையையும் வேரற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, உங்கள் கைகளின் கிரியைகளாலே எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டுகிற பெரிய பொல்லாப்பை உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு விரோதமாகச் செய்து, Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;

8 உங்களை வேரற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணுவதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் பூமியின் சகல ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளும் சாபமும் நிந்தையுமாயிருப்பதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் தங்கியிருக்கவந்த எகிப்துதேசத்திலே அந்நிய தேவர்களுக்கு தூபங்காட்டுவானேன்? In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

9 யூதாதேசத்திலும் எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும் உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும், யூதாவின் ராஜாக்கள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும், யூதாவின் ராஜாக்கள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும், அவர்கள் ஸ்திரீகள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும், நீங்கள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும் உங்கள் ஸ்திரீகள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும் மறந்துபோனீர்களோ? Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?

10 அவர்கள் இந்நாள்மட்டும் மனம் நொறுங்குண்டதுமில்லை, அவர்கள் பயப்படுகிறதுமில்லை; நான் உங்கள் முன்பாகவும் உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் முன்பாகவும் வைத்த என் வேதத்தின்படியும் என் கட்டளைகளின்படியும் நடக்கிறதுமில்லை. They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

12 எகிப்து தேசத்திலே தங்கும்படிக்கு வரத் தங்கள் முகங்களைத் திருப்பின மீதியான யூதரை வாரிக்கொள்ளுவேன்; அவர்கள் அனைவரும் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே நிர்மூலமாவார்கள்; அவர்கள் சிறியவன்முதல் பெரியவன்வரைக்கும், பட்டயத்துக்கு இரையாகி, பஞ்சத்தாலும் நிர்மூலமாவார்கள்; அவர்கள் பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் செத்து, சாபமும் பாழும் பழிப்பும் நிந்தையுமாவார்கள். And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

13 நான் எருசலேமை தண்டித்தபடி எகிப்துதேசத்தில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களையும் பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும், கொள்ளைநோயாலும் தண்டிப்பேன். For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

14 எகிப்துதேசத்திலே தங்கவும், மறுபடியும் தங்கள் ஆத்துமா வாஞ்சித்திருக்கிற யூதா தேசத்திலே குடியேறுவதற்கு அங்கே திரும்பிப்போகவும் வேண்டுமென்று இங்கே வந்த மீதியான யூதரிலே மீதியாயிருக்கிறவர்களும் தப்புகிறவர்களுமில்லை; தப்பிப்போகிறவர்களாகிய மற்றவர்களேயொழிய அவர்களில் ஒருவரும் அங்கே திரும்புவதில்லையென்றார் என்று சொன்னான். So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.

15 அப்பொழுது தங்கள் ஸ்திரீகள் அந்நியதேவர்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டினதாக அறிந்திருந்த எல்லாப் புருஷரும், பெரிய கூட்டமாய் நின்றிருந்த எல்லா ஸ்திரீகளும், எகிப்துதேசத்தில் பத்ரோசிலே குடியிருந்த சகல ஜனங்களும் எரேமியாவுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

16 நீ கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தில் எங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன வார்த்தையின்படியே நாங்கள் உனக்குச் செவிகொடாமல், As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.

17 எங்கள் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட எல்லா வார்த்தையின்படியேயும் நாங்கள் செய்து, வானராக்கினிக்கு தூபங்காட்டி, அவளுக்குப் பானபலிகளை வார்ப்போம்; நாங்களும், எங்கள் பிதாக்களும், எங்கள் ராஜாக்களும், எங்கள் பிரபுக்களும், யூதா பட்டணங்களிலும் எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும் செய்ததுபோலவே செய்வோம்; அப்பொழுது நாங்கள் அப்பத்தினால் திருப்தியாகி, ஒரு பொல்லாப்பையும் காணாமல் வாழ்ந்திருந்தோம். But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

18 நாங்கள் வானராக்கினிக்கு தூபங்காட்டாமலும், அவளுக்குப் பானபலிகளை வார்க்காமலும் போனதுமுதற்கொண்டு, எல்லாம் எங்களுக்குக் குறைவுபட்டது; பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் அழிந்துபோனோம். But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

19 மேலும் நாங்கள் வானராக்கினிக்கு தூபங்காட்டி, அவளுக்குப் பானபலிகளை வார்த்தபோது, நாங்கள் எங்கள் புருஷரின் அனுமதியில்லாமல் அவளுக்குப் பணியாரங்களைச் சுட்டு, பானபலிகளை வார்த்து, அவளை நமஸ்கரித்தோமோ? என்றார்கள். And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

20 அப்பொழுது எரேமியா, தனக்கு இப்படிப்பட்ட மறுமொழி கொடுத்த சகல ஜனங்களாகிய ஸ்திரீ புருஷர்களையும் மற்ற யாவரையும் நோக்கி: Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,

21 யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும், எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும், நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களும் உங்கள் ராஜாக்களும், உங்கள் பிரபுக்களும், தேசத்தின் ஜனங்களும் காட்டின தூபங்களை அல்லவோ கர்த்தர் நினைத்துத் தம்முடைய மனதிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டார். The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?

22 உங்கள் கிரியைகளின் பொல்லாப்பையும், நீங்கள் செய்த அருவருப்புகளையும், கர்த்தர் அப்புறம் பொறுத்திருக்கக் கூடாதபடியினால் அல்லவோ, உங்கள் தேசம் இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி குடியற்ற அந்தரவெளியும் பாழும் சாபமுமாயிற்று. So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

23 நீங்கள் தூபங்காட்டி, கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவஞ்செய்து, கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும், அவருடைய வேதத்துக்கும், அவருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்கும், அவருடைய சாட்சிகளுக்கும் இணங்கி நடவாமலும் போனபடியினாலே இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி இந்தத் தீங்கு உங்களுக்கு நேரிட்டது என்றான். Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.

24 பின்னும் எரேமியா சகல ஜனங்களையும், சகல ஸ்திரீகளையும் நோக்கி: எகிப்துதேசத்தில் இருக்கிற யூதராகிய நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள். Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:

25 இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், வானராக்கினிக்கு தூபங்காட்டவும், அவளுக்குப் பானபலிகளை வார்க்கவும், நாங்கள் நேர்ந்துகொண்ட பொருத்தனைகளை எவ்விதத்திலும் செலுத்துவோமென்று, நீங்களும் உங்கள் ஸ்திரீகளும், உங்கள் வாயினாலே சொல்லி, உங்கள் கைகளினாலே நிறைவேற்றினீர்கள்; நீங்கள் உங்கள் பொருத்தனைகளை ஸ்திரப்படுத்தினது மெய்யே, அவைகளைச் செலுத்தினதும் மெய்யே. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

26 ஆகையால், எகிப்துதேசத்தில் குடியிருக்கிற யூதா ஜனங்களாகிய நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்; இதோ கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவருடைய ஜீவனாணை என்று, எகிப்து தேசமெங்கும் ஒரு யூதா மனுஷன் வாயினாலும் இனி என் நாமம் வழங்கபடுவதில்லையென்று நான் என் மகத்தான நாமத்தைக் கொண்டு ஆணையிடுகிறேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

27 இதோ, நான் அவர்கள்மேல் நன்மைக்கல்ல தீமைக்கே ஜாக்கிரதையாயிருப்பேன்; எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருக்கிற யூதா மனுஷர் எல்லாரும் ஒழிந்து தீருமளவும் பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் சங்காரமாவார்கள். Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

28 ஆனாலும் பட்டயத்துக்குத் தப்புகிறவர்கள் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து யூதாதேசத்துக்குக் கொஞ்சம் பேராய்த் திரும்புவார்கள்; அப்படியே எகிப்துதேசத்திலே தங்கியிருக்க வந்த யூதாவில் மீதியான அனைவரும் அக்காலத்திலே தங்களுடைய வார்த்தையோ, என் வார்த்தையோ, யாருடைய வார்த்தை மெய்ப்படும் என்று அறிவார்கள். Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their's.

29 நான் இவ்விடத்தில் உங்களை தண்டிப்பேன் என்று உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சொன்ன என் வார்த்தைகள் மெய்ப்படுமென்று நீங்கள் அறிவதற்கு உங்களுக்கு இதுவே அடையாளம் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

30 இதோ, நான் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிதேக்கியாவை, அவனுடைய சத்துருவும் அவன் பிராணனை வாங்கத் தேடினவனுமாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்துபோல, நான் பார்வோன் ஒப்பிரா என்னும் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவையும், அவனுடைய சத்துருக்களின் கையிலும், அவன் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவர்களின் கையிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான். Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.

1 Ekipthuthaesaththil kutiyaeri, miktholilum, thakpaanaesilum, Nnoppilum, pathros seemaiyilum vaasamaana ellaa yootharaiyunguriththu, eraemiyaavukku unndaana vasanam: The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

2 Isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar sollukirathu ennavental: naan erusalaeminmaelum, yoothaavin sakala pattanangalin maelum, varappannnnina theengaiyellaam neengal kannteerkal. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

3 Itho, avarkalum neengalum ungal pithaakkalum ariyaatha thaevarkalukku thoopangaattavum, aaraathanai seyyavum poy enakkuk kopamoottumpatikkuch seytha avarkalutaiya pollaappinimiththam, avaikal innaalil paalaaykkidakkirathu, avaikalil kutiyillai. Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.

4 Naan veraுkkira intha aruvaruppaana kaariyaththaich seyyaathirungalentu, theerkkatharisikalaakiya en ooliyakkaararaikkonndu ungalukku aerkanavae solliyanuppikkonntirunthaen. Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

5 Aanaalum avarkal anniya thaevarkalukku thoopangaattathapatikku, en sollaik kaelaamalum, pollaappai vittuth thirumpuvatharkuch seviyaich saaykkaamalum ponaarkal. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

6 Aakaiyaal, en ukkiramum en kopamum moonndu, yoothaavin pattanangalilum erusalaemin veethikalilum pattiyerinthathu; avaikal innaalil irukkirapati vanaantharamum paalumaayp poyittaு. Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

7 Ippothum isravaelin thaevanum senaikalin thaevanumaakiya Karththar sollukirathu ennavental, neengal yoothaavil oruvaraiyum ungalukku meethiyaaka vaikkaamal, ungalil purushanaiyum sthireeyaiyum pillaiyaiyum paalkutikkira kulanthaiyaiyum vaerattaுppokappannnumpatikku, ungal kaikalin kiriyaikalaalae enakkuk kopamoottukira periya pollaappai ungal aaththumaakkalukku virothamaakach seythu, Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;

8 Ungalai vaerattaுppokappannnuvatharkaakavum, neengal poomiyin sakala jaathikalukkullum saapamum ninthaiyumaayiruppatharkaakavum, neengal thangiyirukkavantha ekipthuthaesaththilae anniya thaevarkalukku thoopangaattuvaanaen? In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

9 Yoothaathaesaththilum erusalaemin veethikalilum ungal pithaakkal seytha pollaappukalaiyum, yoothaavin raajaakkal seytha pollaappukalaiyum, yoothaavin raajaakkal seytha pollaappukalaiyum, avarkal sthireekal seytha pollaappukalaiyum, neengal seytha pollaappukalaiyum ungal sthireekal seytha pollaappukalaiyum maranthuponeerkalo? Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?

10 Avarkal innaalmattum manam noraுngunndathumillai, avarkal payappadukirathumillai; naan ungal munpaakavum ungal pithaakkal munpaakavum vaiththa en vaethaththinpatiyum en kattalaikalinpatiyum nadakkirathumillai. They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

11 Aakaiyaal, isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar sollukirathu ennavental, itho, naan ungalukkuth theengunndaakavum, yoothaavanaiththaiyum sangarikkaththakkathaakavum, en mukaththai ungalukku virothamaakath thiruppi, Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.

12 Ekipthu thaesaththilae thangumpatikku varath thangal mukangalaith thiruppina meethiyaana yootharai vaarikkolluvaen; avarkal anaivarum ekipthuthaesaththilae nirmoolamaavaarkal; avarkal siriyavanmuthal periyavanvaraikkum, pattayaththukku iraiyaaki, panjaththaalum nirmoolamaavaarkal; avarkal pattayaththaalum panjaththaalum seththu, saapamum paalum palippum ninthaiyumaavaarkal. And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

13 Naan erusalaemai thanntiththapati ekipthuthaesaththil kutiyirukkiravarkalaiyum pattayaththaalum panjaththaalum, kollaiNnoyaalum thanntippaen. For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

14 Ekipthuthaesaththilae thangavum, maraுpatiyum thangal aaththumaa vaanjiththirukkira yoothaa thaesaththilae kutiyaeraுvatharku angae thirumpippokavum vaenndumentu ingae vantha meethiyaana yootharilae meethiyaayirukkiravarkalum thappukiravarkalumillai; thappippokiravarkalaakiya mattavarkalaeyoliya avarkalil oruvarum angae thirumpuvathillaiyentar entu sonnaan. So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.

15 Appoluthu thangal sthireekal anniyathaevarkalukkuth thoopangaattinathaaka arinthiruntha ellaap purusharum, periya koottamaay nintiruntha ellaa sthireekalum, ekipthuthaesaththil pathrosilae kutiyiruntha sakala janangalum eraemiyaavukkup pirathiyuththaramaaka: Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

16 Nee karththarutaiya naamaththil engalukkuch sonna vaarththaiyinpatiyae naangal unakkuch sevikodaamal, As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.

17 Engal vaayilirunthu purappatta ellaa vaarththaiyinpatiyaeyum naangal seythu, vaanaraakkinikku thoopangaatti, avalukkup paanapalikalai vaarppom; naangalum, engal pithaakkalum, engal raajaakkalum, engal pirapukkalum, yoothaa pattanangalilum erusalaemin veethikalilum seythathupolavae seyvom; appoluthu naangal appaththinaal thirupthiyaaki, oru pollaappaiyum kaannaamal vaalnthirunthom. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

18 Naangal vaanaraakkinikku thoopangaattamalum, avalukkup paanapalikalai vaarkkaamalum ponathumutharkonndu, ellaam engalukkuk kuraivupattathu; pattayaththaalum panjaththaalum alinthuponom. But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

19 Maelum naangal vaanaraakkinikku thoopangaatti, avalukkup paanapalikalai vaarththapothu, naangal engal purusharin anumathiyillaamal avalukkup panniyaarangalaich suttu, paanapalikalai vaarththu, avalai namaskariththomo? Entarkal. And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

20 Appoluthu eraemiyaa, thanakku ippatippatta maraுmoli koduththa sakala janangalaakiya sthiree purusharkalaiyum matta yaavaraiyum Nnokki: Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,

21 Yoothaavin pattanangalilum, erusalaemin veethikalilum, neengalum ungal pithaakkalum ungal raajaakkalum, ungal pirapukkalum, thaesaththin janangalum kaattina thoopangalai allavo Karththar ninaiththuth thammutaiya manathilae vaiththukkonndaar. The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?

22 Ungal kiriyaikalin pollaappaiyum, neengal seytha aruvaruppukalaiyum, Karththar appuram poraுththirukkak koodaathapatiyinaal allavo, ungal thaesam innaalil irukkirapati kutiyatta antharaveliyum paalum saapamumaayittaு. So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

23 Neengal thoopangaatti, karththarukku virothamaakap paavanjaெythu, karththarutaiya saththaththukkuch sevikodaamalum, avarutaiya vaethaththukkum, avarutaiya kattalaikalukkum, avarutaiya saatchikalukkum inangi nadavaamalum ponapatiyinaalae innaalil irukkirapati inthath theengu ungalukku naerittathu entan. Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.

24 Pinnum eraemiyaa sakala janangalaiyum, sakala sthireekalaiyum Nnokki: ekipthuthaesaththil irukkira yootharaakiya neengal ellaarum karththarutaiya vaarththaiyaik kaelungal. Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:

25 Isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar sollukirathu ennavental, vaanaraakkinikku thoopangaattavum, avalukkup paanapalikalai vaarkkavum, naangal naernthukonnda poruththanaikalai evvithaththilum seluththuvomentu, neengalum ungal sthireekalum, ungal vaayinaalae solli, ungal kaikalinaalae niraivaettineerkal; neengal ungal poruththanaikalai sthirappaduththinathu meyyae, avaikalaich seluththinathum meyyae. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

26 Aakaiyaal, ekipthuthaesaththil kutiyirukkira yoothaa janangalaakiya neengal ellaarum karththarutaiya vaarththaiyaik kaelungal; itho karththaraakiya aanndavarutaiya jeevanaannai entu, ekipthu thaesamengum oru yoothaa manushan vaayinaalum ini en naamam valangapaduvathillaiyentu naan en makaththaana naamaththaik konndu aannaiyidukiraேn entu Karththar sollukiraar. Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

27 Itho, naan avarkalmael nanmaikkalla theemaikkae jaakkirathaiyaayiruppaen; ekipthu thaesaththilirukkira yoothaa manushar ellaarum olinthu theerumalavum pattayaththaalum panjaththaalum sangaaramaavaarkal. Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

28 Aanaalum pattayaththukkuth thappukiravarkal ekipthuthaesaththilirunthu yoothaathaesaththukkuk konjam paeraayth thirumpuvaarkal; appatiyae ekipthuthaesaththilae thangiyirukka vantha yoothaavil meethiyaana anaivarum akkaalaththilae thangalutaiya vaarththaiyo, en vaarththaiyo, yaarutaiya vaarththai meyppadum entu arivaarkal. Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their's.

29 Naan ivvidaththil ungalai thanntippaen entu ungalukku virothamaaych sonna en vaarththaikal meyppadumentu neengal arivatharku ungalukku ithuvae ataiyaalam entu Karththar sollukiraar. And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

30 Itho, naan yoothaavin raajaavaakiya sithaekkiyaavai, avanutaiya saththuruvum avan piraananai vaangath thaetinavanumaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாr ennum paapilon raajaavin kaiyil oppukkoduththupola, naan paarvon oppiraa ennum ekipthin raajaavaiyum, avanutaiya saththurukkalin kaiyilum, avan piraananai vaangaththaedukiravarkalin kaiyilum oppukkoduppaen entu Karththar sollukiraar entan. Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.
