யோவான் 9:7
நீ போய், சீலோவாம் குளத்திலே கழுவு என்றார். சீலோவாம் என்பதற்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டவன் என்று அர்த்தமாம். அப்படியே அவன் போய்க் கழுவி, பார்வையடைந்தவனாய்த் திரும்பிவந்தான்.

நீ போய், சீலோவாம் குளத்திலே கழுவு என்றார். சீலோவாம் என்பதற்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டவன் என்று அர்த்தம். அப்படியே அவன்போய்க் கழுவி, பார்வை அடைந்தவனாக திரும்பி வந்தான்.

இயேசு அவனிடம், “போ, சீலோவாம் குளத்தில் (சீலோவாம் என்றால் ‘அனுப்பப்பட்டவன்’ என்று பொருள்) கழுவு” என்றார். அதன்படியே அந்த மனிதன் குளத்திற்குச் சென்றான். அவன் கழுவிவிட்டுத் திரும்பி வந்தான். இப்பொழுது பார்வை பெற்றிருந்தான்.

“நீர் சிலோவாம் குளத்துக்குப் போய்க் கண்களைக் கழுவும்” என்றார். சிலோவாம் என்பதற்கு ‘அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்’ என்பது பொருள். அவரும் போய்க் கழுவிப் பார்வை பெற்றுத் திரும்பி வந்தார்.⒫
