1 கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் நிமித்தம் மீதியானியரிடத்தில் பழிவாங்குவாயாக; அதன்பின்பு உன் ஜனத்தாரிடத்தில் சேர்க்கப்படுவாய் என்றார். Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.

3 அப்பொழுது மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் நிமித்தம் மீதியானியரிடத்தில் பழிவாங்கும்பொருட்டு, உங்களில் அவர்கள்மேல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போகத்தக்கதாக மனிதரைப் பிரித்தெடுங்கள். And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.

4 இஸ்ரவேலுடைய எல்லாக் கோத்திரங்களிலும் ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்தில் ஆயிரம்பேரை யுத்தத்திற்கு அனுப்பவேண்டும் என்றான். Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.

5 அப்படியே இஸ்ரவேலராகிய அநேகம் ஆயிரங்களில், ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்தில் ஆயிரமாயிரம் பேராகப் பன்னீராயிரம்பேர் யுத்தசன்னத்தராய் நிறுத்தப்பட்டார்கள். So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.

6 மோசே அவர்களையும் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசரின் குமாரன் பினெகாசையும் யுத்தத்திற்கு அனுப்புகையில், அவன் கையிலே பரிசுத்த தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும், தொனிக்கும் பூரிகைகளையும் கொடுத்து அனுப்பினான். And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.

7 கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவர்கள் மீதியானியருடன் யுத்தம்பண்ணி, புருஷர்கள் யாவரையும் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள். And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.

8 அவர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்டதுமன்றி, மீதியானியரின் ஐந்து ராஜாக்களாகிய ஏவி, ரேக்கேம், சூர், ஊர், ரேபா என்பவர்களையும் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள். பேயோரின் குமாரனாகிய பிலேயாமையும் பட்டயத்தினாலே கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள். And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

9 அன்றியும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் மீதியானியரின் ஸ்திரீகளையும் குழந்தைகளையும் சிறைபிடித்து, அவர்களுடைய மிருகஜீவன்களாகிய ஆடுமாடுகள் யாவையும், மற்ற ஆஸ்திகள் யாவையும் கொள்ளையிட்டு, And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.

10 அவர்கள் குடியிருந்த ஊர்கள் கோட்டைகள் யாவையும் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்து, And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.

11 தாங்கள் கொள்ளையிட்ட பொருளையும் தாங்கள் பிடித்த நரஜீவன் மிருகஜீவன் அனைத்தையும் சேர்த்து, And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.

And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.

13 மோசேயும் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும் சபையின் பிரபுக்கள் எல்லாரும் அவர்களைச் சந்திக்கப் பாளயத்திற்கு வெளியே புறப்பட்டுப்போனார்கள். And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.

14 அப்பொழுது மோசே யுத்தத்திலிருந்து வந்த ஆயிரம்பேருக்குத் தலைவரும், நூறுபேருக்குத் தலைவருமாகிய சேனாபதிகள்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டு, And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.

15 அவர்களை நோக்கி: ஸ்திரீகள் எல்லாரையும் உயிரோடே விட்டுவிட்டீர்களா? And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

16 பேயோரின் சங்கதியிலே பிலேயாமின் ஆலோசனையினால் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாய்த் துரோகம்பண்ணக் காரணமாயிருந்தவர்கள் இவர்கள்தானே; அதினால் கர்த்தரின் சபையிலே வாதையும் நேரிட்டதே. Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

17 ஆகையால் குழந்தைகளில் எல்லா ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையும், புருஷசம்யோகத்தை அறிந்த எல்லா ஸ்திரீகளையும் கொன்றுபோடுங்கள். Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

18 ஸ்திரீகளில் புருஷசம்யோகத்தை அறியாத எல்லாப் பெண்பிள்ளைகளையும் உங்களுக்காக உயிரோடே வையுங்கள். But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

19 பின்பு நீங்கள் ஏழுநாள் பாளயத்திற்குப் புறம்பே தங்குங்கள்; நரஜீவனைக் கொன்றவர்களும், வெட்டுண்டவர்ளைத் தொட்டவர்களுமாகிய நீங்கள் யாவரும் மூன்றாம் நாளிலும் ஏழாம் நாளிலும் உங்களையும் உங்களால் சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களையும் சுத்திகரித்து, And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.

20 அந்தப்படியே எல்லா வஸ்திரத்தையும், தோலால் செய்த கருவிகளையும், வெள்ளாட்டுமயிரினால் நெய்தவைகளையும், மரச்சாமான்களையும் சுத்திகரிக்கக்கடவீர்கள் என்றான். And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.

21 ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போய்வந்த படைவீரரை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட விதிப்பிரமாணம் என்னவென்றால்: And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;

22 அக்கினிக்கு நிற்கத்தக்கவைகளாகிய பொன், வெள்ளி, வெண்கலம், இரும்பு, தகரம், ஈயம் ஆகிய இவைகளெல்லாம் சுத்தமாகும்படிக்கு, Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

23 அவைகளை அக்கினியிலே போட்டெடுக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; தீட்டுக்கழிக்கும் தண்ணீராலும் அவைகள் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படவேண்டும்; அக்கினிக்கு நிற்கத்தகாதவைகளையெல்லாம் தண்ணீரினால் சுத்தம்பண்ணக்கடவீர்கள். Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.

24 ஏழாம் நாளில் உங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்கவேண்டும்; அப்பொழுது சுத்தமாயிருப்பீர்கள்; பின்பு நீங்கள் பாளயத்திற்குள் வரலாம் என்றான். And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.

25 கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

26 பிடித்துக்கொண்டு வரப்பட்ட மனிதரையும் மிருகங்களையும் நீயும் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும் சபையினுடைய பிதாக்களாகிய தலைவரும் தொகைபார்த்து, Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

27 கொள்ளையிடப்பட்டதை இரண்டு பங்காகப் பங்கிட்டு, யுத்தத்திற்குப் படையெடுத்துப்போனவர்களுக்கும் சபையனைத்திற்கும் கொடுங்கள். And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:

28 மேலும் யுத்தத்திற்குப்போன படைவீரரிடத்தில் கர்த்தருக்காக மனிதரிலும் மாடுகளிலும் கழுதைகளிலும் ஆடுகளிலும் ஐந்நூற்றிற்கு ஒரு பிராணி வீதமாக பகுதி வாங்கி, And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:

29 அவர்களுடைய பாதிப்பங்கில் எடுத்து, கர்த்தருக்கு ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் படைப்பாக ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாருக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும். Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.

30 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் பாதிப்பங்கிலோ மனிதரிலும், மாடுகள் கழுதைகள் ஆடுகளாகிய சகலவித மிருகங்களிலும், ஐம்பதிற்கு ஒன்று வீதமாய் வாங்கி அவைகளைக் கர்த்தருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தின் காவலைக்காக்கும் லேவியருக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றார். And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

31 கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, மோசேயும் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும் செய்தார்கள். And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

32 படைவீரர் கொள்ளையிட்ட பொருளில், ஆறுலட்சத்து எழுபத்தையாயிரம் ஆடுகளும், And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,

33 எழுபத்தீராயிரம் மாடுகளும், And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,

34 அறுபத்தோராயிரம் கழுதைகளும் மீதியாயிருந்தது. And threescore and one thousand asses,

35 புருஷசம்யோகத்தை அறியாத ஸ்திரீகளில் முப்பத்தீராயிரம்பேர் இருந்தார்கள். And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.

36 யுத்தஞ்செய்யப் போனவர்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த பாதிப்பங்கின் தொகையாவது: ஆடுகள் மூன்றுலட்சத்து முப்பத்தேழாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறு. And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:

37 இந்த ஆடுகளிலே கர்த்தருக்குப் பகுதியாக வந்தது அறுநூற்று எழுபத்தைந்து. And the LORD's tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.

38 மாடுகள் முப்பத்தாறாயிரம்; அவைகளில் கர்த்தருக்குப் பகுதியாக வந்தது எழுபத்திரண்டு. And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and twelve.

39 கழுதைகள் முப்பதினாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறு; அவைகளில் கர்த்தருக்குப் பகுதியாக வந்தது அறுபத்தொன்று. And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and one.

40 நரஜீவன்கள் பதினாறாயிரம் பேர்; அவர்களில் கர்த்தருக்குப் பகுதியாக வந்தவர்கள் முப்பத்திரண்டுபேர். And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was thirty and two persons.

41 கர்த்தருக்கு ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் அந்தப் பகுதியை, மோசே கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான். And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD's heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

42 யுத்தம்பண்ணின பேர்களுக்கும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கும் மோசே பாதிபாதியாகப் பங்கிட்டதின்படியே சபையாருக்கு வந்த பாதிப்பங்காவது: And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,

43 ஆடுகளில் முன்றுலட்சத்து முப்பத்தேழாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறு, (Now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep,

44 மாடுகளில் முப்பத்தாறாயிரம், And thirty and six thousand beeves,

45 கழுதைகளில் முப்பதினாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறு, And thirty thousand asses and five hundred,

46 நரஜீவன்களில் பதினாயிரம் பேருமே. And sixteen thousand persons;)

47 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் பாதிப்பங்குக்கு வந்த இந்த நரஜீவன்களிலும் மிருகங்களிலும் மோசே ஐம்பதுக்கு ஒன்று வீதமாக எடுத்து, அவைகளைக் கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, கர்த்தருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தின் காவலைக் காக்கிற லேவியருக்குக் கொடுத்தான். Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

48 பின்பு ஆயிரம்பேருக்குத் தலைவரும் நூறுபேருக்குத் தலைவருமான சேனாபதிகள் மோசேயினிடத்தில் வந்து, And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:

49 ஊழியக்காரராகிய நாங்கள் எங்கள் கையின் கீழிருக்கிற யுத்தமனிதரைத் தொகைபார்த்தோம்; அவர்களுக்குள்ளே ஒரு ஆளும் குறையவில்லை. And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.

50 ஆகையால், கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் எங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்பொருட்டு, எங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த பொற்பணிகளாகிய பாதசரங்களையும், அஸ்தகடகங்களையும், மோதிரங்களையும், காதணிகளையும், காப்புகளையும் கர்த்தருக்குக் காணிக்கையாகக் கொண்டுவந்தோம் என்றார்கள். We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.

51 அப்பொழுது மோசேயும் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும் சகலவித வேலைப்பாடான பணிதிகளான அந்தப் பொன்னாபரணங்களை அவர்களிடத்தில் வாங்கினார்கள். And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.

52 இப்படி ஆயிரம்பேருக்குத் தலைவரானவர்களாலும் நூறுபேருக்குத் தலைவரானவர்களாலும் கர்த்தருக்கு ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் காணிக்கையாகச் செலுத்தப்பட்ட பொன் முழுவதும் பதினாறாயிரத்து எழுநூற்று ஐம்பது சேக்கல் நிறையாயிருந்தது. And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.

53 யுத்தத்திற்குப் போன மனிதர் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்கள் தங்களுக்காகக் கொள்ளையிட்டிருந்தார்கள். (For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)

54 அந்தப் பொன்னை மோசேயும் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும் ஆயிரம்பேருக்குத் தலைவரானவர்களின் கையிலும், நூறுபேருக்குத் தலைவரானவர்களின் கையிலும் வாங்கி, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு ஞாபகக்குறியாக ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவந்து வைத்தார்கள். And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.

1 Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Israel puththirar nimiththam meethiyaaniyaridaththil palivaanguvaayaaka; athanpinpu un janaththaaridaththil serkkappaduvaay entar. Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.

3 Appoluthu Moses janangalai Nnokki: Karththar nimiththam meethiyaaniyaridaththil palivaangumporuttu, ungalil avarkalmael yuththaththirkup pokaththakkathaaka manitharaip piriththedungal. And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.

4 Isravaelutaiya ellaak koththirangalilum ovvoru koththiraththil aayirampaerai yuththaththirku anuppavaenndum entan. Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.

5 Appatiyae isravaelaraakiya anaekam aayirangalil, ovvoru koththiraththil aayiramaayiram paeraakap panneeraayirampaer yuththasannaththaraay niraுththappattarkal. So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.

6 Moses avarkalaiyum aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasarin kumaaran pinekaasaiyum yuththaththirku anuppukaiyil, avan kaiyilae Parisuththa thattumuttukalaiyum, thonikkum poorikaikalaiyum koduththu anuppinaan. And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.

7 Karththar Moseskkuk kattalaiyittapatiyae avarkal meethiyaaniyarudan yuththampannnni, purusharkal yaavaraiyum kontupottarkal. And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.

8 Avarkalaik kontupottathumanti, meethiyaaniyarin ainthu raajaakkalaakiya aevi, raekkaem, soor, oor, raepaa enpavarkalaiyum kontupottarkal. Paeyorin kumaaranaakiya pilaeyaamaiyum pattayaththinaalae kontupottarkal. And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

9 Antiyum Israel puththirar meethiyaaniyarin sthireekalaiyum kulanthaikalaiyum siraipitiththu, avarkalutaiya mirukajeevankalaakiya aadumaadukal yaavaiyum, matta aasthikal yaavaiyum kollaiyittu, And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.

10 Avarkal kutiyiruntha oorkal kottaைkal yaavaiyum akkiniyaal sutteriththu, And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.

11 Thaangal kollaiyitta porulaiyum thaangal pitiththa narajeevan mirukajeevan anaiththaiyum serththu, And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.

12 Siraipitikkappatta manitharaiyum, mirukangalaiyum, kollaiyitta porulkalaiyum erikovin arukaeyulla yorthaanukku ikkaraiyil movaapin samanaana velikalilulla paalayaththiliruntha Mosesyinidaththukkum, aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarinidaththukkum, Israel puththiraraakiya Sabaiyaaridaththukkum konnduvanthaarkal. And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.

13 Mosesyum aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarum Sabaiyin pirapukkal ellaarum avarkalaich santhikkap paalayaththirku veliyae purappattupponaarkal. And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.

14 Appoluthu Moses yuththaththilirunthu vantha aayirampaerukkuth thalaivarum, nooraுpaerukkuth thalaivarumaakiya senaapathikalmael kopangaொnndu, And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.

15 Avarkalai Nnokki: sthireekal ellaaraiyum uyirotae vittuvittirkalaa? And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

16 Paeyorin sangathiyilae pilaeyaamin aalosanaiyinaal Israel puththirar karththarukku virothamaayth thurokampannnak kaaranamaayirunthavarkal ivarkalthaanae; athinaal karththarin Sabaiyilae vaathaiyum naerittathae. Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

17 Aakaiyaal kulanthaikalil ellaa aannpillaikalaiyum, purushasamyokaththai arintha ellaa sthireekalaiyum kontupodungal. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

18 Sthireekalil purushasamyokaththai ariyaatha ellaap pennpillaikalaiyum ungalukkaaka uyirotae vaiyungal. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

19 Pinpu neengal aelunaal paalayaththirkup purampae thangungal; narajeevanaik kontavarkalum, vettunndavarlaith thottavarkalumaakiya neengal yaavarum moontam naalilum aelaam naalilum ungalaiyum ungalaal siraipitikkappattavarkalaiyum suththikariththu, And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.

20 Anthappatiyae ellaa vasthiraththaiyum, tholaal seytha karuvikalaiyum, vellaattumayirinaal neythavaikalaiyum, marachchaாmaankalaiyum suththikarikkakkadaveerkal entan. And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.

21 Aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarum yuththaththirkup poyvantha pataiveerarai Nnokki: Karththar Moseskkuk kattalaiyitta vithippiramaanam ennavental: And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;

22 Akkinikku nirkaththakkavaikalaakiya pon, velli, vennkalam, irumpu, thakaram, eeyam aakiya ivaikalellaam suththamaakumpatikku, Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

23 Avaikalai akkiniyilae pottedukkakkadaveerkal; theettukkalikkum thannnneeraalum avaikal suththikarikkappadavaenndum; akkinikku nirkaththakaathavaikalaiyellaam thannnneerinaal suththampannnakkadaveerkal. Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.

24 Aelaam naalil ungal vasthirangalaith thoykkavaenndum; appoluthu suththamaayiruppeerkal; pinpu neengal paalayaththirkul varalaam entan. And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.

25 Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

26 Pitiththukkonndu varappatta manitharaiyum mirukangalaiyum neeyum aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarum Sabaiyinutaiya pithaakkalaakiya thalaivarum thokaipaarththu, Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

27 Kollaiyidappattathai iranndu pangaakap pangittu, yuththaththirkup pataiyeduththupponavarkalukkum Sabaiyanaiththirkum kodungal. And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:

28 Maelum yuththaththirkuppona pataiveeraridaththil karththarukkaaka manitharilum maadukalilum kaluthaikalilum aadukalilum ainnoottirku oru piraanni veethamaaka pakuthi vaangi, And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:

29 Avarkalutaiya paathippangil eduththu, karththarukku aeraெduththup pataikkum pataippaaka aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarukkuk kodukkavaenndum. Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.

30 Israel puththirarin paathippangilo manitharilum, maadukal kaluthaikal aadukalaakiya sakalavitha mirukangalilum, aimpathirku ontu veethamaay vaangi avaikalaik karththarutaiya vaasasthalaththin kaavalaikkaakkum laeviyarukkuk kodukkavaenndum entar. And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

31 Karththar Moseskkuk kattalaiyittapatiyae, Mosesyum aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarum seythaarkal. And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

32 Pataiveerar kollaiyitta porulil, aaraுlatchaththu elupaththaiyaayiram aadukalum, And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,

33 Elupaththeeraayiram maadukalum, And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,

34 Araுpaththoraayiram kaluthaikalum meethiyaayirunthathu. And threescore and one thousand asses,

35 Purushasamyokaththai ariyaatha sthireekalil muppaththeeraayirampaer irunthaarkal. And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.

36 Yuththanjaெyyap ponavarkalukkuk kitaiththa paathippangin thokaiyaavathu: aadukal moontulatchaththu muppaththaelaayiraththu ainnooraு. And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:

37 Intha aadukalilae karththarukkup pakuthiyaaka vanthathu araுnoottaு elupaththainthu. And the LORD's tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.

38 Maadukal muppaththaaraayiram; avaikalil karththarukkup pakuthiyaaka vanthathu elupaththiranndu. And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and twelve.

39 Kaluthaikal muppathinaayiraththu ainnooraு; avaikalil karththarukkup pakuthiyaaka vanthathu araுpaththontu. And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and one.

40 Narajeevankal pathinaaraayiram paer; avarkalil karththarukkup pakuthiyaaka vanthavarkal muppaththiranndupaer. And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was thirty and two persons.

41 Karththarukku aeraெduththup pataikkum anthap pakuthiyai, Moses Karththar thanakkuk kattalaiyittapatiyae, aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaaridaththil koduththaan. And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD's heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

42 Yuththampannnnina paerkalukkum Israel puththirarukkum Moses paathipaathiyaakap pangittathinpatiyae Sabaiyaarukku vantha paathippangaavathu: And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,

43 Aadukalil muntulatchaththu muppaththaelaayiraththu ainnooraு, (Now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep,

44 Maadukalil muppaththaaraayiram, And thirty and six thousand beeves,

45 Kaluthaikalil muppathinaayiraththu ainnooraு, And thirty thousand asses and five hundred,

46 Narajeevankalil pathinaayiram paerumae. And sixteen thousand persons;)

47 Israel puththirarin paathippangukku vantha intha narajeevankalilum mirukangalilum Moses aimpathukku ontu veethamaaka eduththu, avaikalaik Karththar thanakkuk kattalaiyittapatiyae, karththarutaiya vaasasthalaththin kaavalaik kaakkira laeviyarukkuk koduththaan. Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

48 Pinpu aayirampaerukkuth thalaivarum nooraுpaerukkuth thalaivarumaana senaapathikal Mosesyinidaththil vanthu, And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:

49 Ooliyakkaararaakiya naangal engal kaiyin geelirukkira yuththamanitharaith thokaipaarththom; avarkalukkullae oru aalum kuraiyavillai. And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.

50 Aakaiyaal, karththarutaiya sannithiyil engal aaththumaakkalukkaakap paavanivirththi seyyumporuttu, engalukkuk kitaiththa porpannikalaakiya paathasarangalaiyum, asthakadakangalaiyum, mothirangalaiyum, kaathannikalaiyum, kaappukalaiyum karththarukkuk kaannikkaiyaakak konnduvanthom entarkal. We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.

51 Appoluthu Mosesyum aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarum sakalavitha vaelaippaadaana pannithikalaana anthap ponnaaparanangalai avarkalidaththil vaanginaarkal. And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.

52 Ippati aayirampaerukkuth thalaivaraanavarkalaalum nooraுpaerukkuth thalaivaraanavarkalaalum karththarukku aeraெduththup pataikkum kaannikkaiyaakach seluththappatta pon muluvathum pathinaaraayiraththu elunoottaு aimpathu sekkal niraiyaayirunthathu. And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.

53 Yuththaththirkup pona manithar ovvoruvarum thangal thangalukkaakak kollaiyittirunthaarkal. (For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)

54 Anthap ponnai Mosesyum aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarum aayirampaerukkuth thalaivaraanavarkalin kaiyilum, nooraுpaerukkuth thalaivaraanavarkalin kaiyilum vaangi, Israel puththirarukku njaapakakkuriyaaka aasarippuk koodaaraththilae karththarutaiya sannithiyil konnduvanthu vaiththaarkal. And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
