2 நாளாகமம் 18:7
அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரித்து அறிகிறதற்கு இம்லாவின் குமாரனாகிய மிகாயா என்னும் மற்றொருவன் இருக்கிறான்; ஆனாலும் நான் அவனைப் பகைக்கிறேன்; அவன் என்னைக் குறித்து நன்மையாக அல்ல, தீமையாகவே எப்பொழுதும் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறவன் என்றான். அதற்கு யோசபாத்: ராஜாவே, அப்படிச் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என்றான்.

இப்பொழுதும் நீங்கள் உங்கள் முன்னோர்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் அறிக்கையிட்டு, அவருடைய பிரியத்தின்படியே செய்து, தேசத்தின் மக்களையும், வேறு இனப் பெண்களையும் விட்டுவிலகுங்கள் என்றான்.

இப்போது, நீங்கள் பாவம் செய்தீர்கள் என்பதை கர்த்தரிடம் ஒப்புக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். கர்த்தர் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவன். நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிய வேண்டும். நீங்கள் உங்களைச் சுற்றியுள்ள ஜனங்களிடமிருந்தும், உங்கள் அயல்நாட்டு மனைவியரிடம் இருந்தும் தனித்திருங்கள்” என்றான்.
