அப்போஸ்தலர் 10:17
அப்பொழுது பேதுரு, தான் கண்டதரிசனத்தைக் குறித்துத் தனக்குள்ளே சந்தேகப்படுகையில், இதோ, கொர்நேலியுவினால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட மனுஷர்கள் சீமோனுடைய வீட்டை விசாரித்துக்கொண்டு வாசற்படியிலே வந்து நின்று:

அப்பொழுது ராஜாவின் கண்களுக்குப் பிரியமான கன்னி, வஸ்திக்கு பதிலாகப் பட்டத்து ராணியாகவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்; இந்த வார்த்தை ராஜாவிற்கு நலமாகத் தோன்றியபடியால் அப்படியே செய்தான்.

பிறகு அரசனின் கண்களுக்கு ஏற்றப் பெண் வஸ்திக்குப் பதிலாகப் பட்டத்து ராணியாகவேண்டும்” என்றார்கள். அரசனும் இந்தக் கருத்தை விரும்பினான். எனவே, அதனை ஒத்துக்கொண்டான்.
