அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா ஏறக்குறைய நானூறு தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக் கூடிவரச்செய்து: நான் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்தின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ணப்போகலாமா, போகலாகாதா என்று அவர்களைக் கேட்டதற்கு; அவர்கள், போம், ஆண்டவர் ராஜாவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார் என்றார்கள்.

எனவே ஆகாப் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக் கூட்டினான். அவர்கள் 400 பேர். அவர்களிடம், “நான் ராமோத்துக்காக சீரிய படையோடு போரிடப் போகலாமா? அல்லது காத்திருக்கலாமா?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவர்கள் “இப்போது போய் போர் செய்யும். கர்த்தர் வெற்றிப்பெறச் செய்வார்” என்றார்கள்.
