ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனை நிந்திக்கும்படி அசீரியா ராஜாவாகிய தன் ஆண்டவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட ரப்சாக்கே சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் உமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கேட்டிருக்கிறார்; உமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கேட்டிருக்கிற வார்த்தைகளின் நிமித்தம் தண்டனை செய்வார்; ஆகையால் இன்னும் மீதியாயிருக்கிறவர்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பஞ்செய்வீராக என்று எசேக்கியா சொல்லச்சொன்னார் என்றார்கள்.

அசீரிய அரசனின் தளபதியால், ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனைப்பற்றிய கெட்டசெய்திகள் சொல்லி அனுப்பப்பட்டன. உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் இவை எல்லாவற்றையும் கேட்கலாம். ஒருவேளை கர்த்தர் பகைவனைத் தண்டிக்கலாம். இப்போதும் உயிரோடுள்ளவர்களுக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்க’ என்று எசேக்கியா கூறினார்” என்றான்.

Jeevanulla thaevanai ninthikkumpati aseeriyaa raajaavaakiya than aanndavanaal anuppappatta rapsaakkae sonna vaarththaikalaiyellaam umathu thaevanaakiya Karththar kaettirukkiraar; umathu thaevanaakiya Karththar kaettirukkira vaarththaikalin nimiththam thanndanai seyvaar; aakaiyaal innum meethiyaayirukkiravarkalukkaaka vinnnappanjaெyveeraaka entu esekkiyaa sollachchaொnnaar entarkal.
