விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஆபிரகாம் தான் சுதந்தரமாகப் பெறப்போகிற இடத்திற்குப் போகும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டபோது, கீழ்ப்படிந்து, தான் போகும் இடம் இன்னதென்று அறியாமல் புறப்பட்டுப்போனான்.

தேவன் ஆபிரகாமை அழைத்தார். அவர் வாக்களித்தப்படி ஒரு இடத்துக்குப் பயணம் போகச் சொன்னார். அவனுக்கு அந்த இடம் எங்கே உள்ளது என்று தெரியாது. எனினும் அவனுக்கு விசுவாசம் இருந்ததால், தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து அவர் சொன்னபடி பயணம் செய்தான்.
