ஏசாயா 58:10
பசியுள்ளவனிடத்தில் உன் ஆத்துமாவைச் சாய்த்து, சிறுமைப்பட்ட ஆத்துமாவைத் திருப்தியாக்கினால், அப்பொழுது இருளில் உன் வெளிச்சம் உதித்து, உன் அந்தகாரம் மத்தியானத்தைப்போலாகும்.

பசியாயிருக்கிற ஜனங்களைப் பார்த்து நீ வருத்தப்படவேண்டும். அவர்களுக்கு உணவு தர வேண்டும். துன்பப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கு நீ உதவ வேண்டும். அவர்களின் தேவைகளை நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும்.அப்போது உனது வெளிச்சம் இருளில் பிரகாசிக்கும். உனக்கும் துக்கம் இருக்காது. நீ நண்பகலில் உள்ள சூரியனைப்போன்று பிரகாசமாக இருப்பாய்.

to the hungry, לָֽרָעֵב֙ rāʿēb ra-AVE
thy soul נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ nepeš neh-FESH
soul; וְנֶ֥פֶשׁ nepeš neh-FESH
the afflicted נַעֲנָ֖ה ʿānâ ah-NA
and satisfy תַּשְׂבִּ֑יעַ śābaʿ sa-VA
rise וְזָרַ֤ח zāraḥ za-RAHK
in obscurity, בַּחֹ֙שֶׁךְ֙ ḥōšek hoh-SHEK
then shall thy light אוֹרֶ֔ךָ ʾôr ore
and thy darkness וַאֲפֵלָתְךָ֖ ʾăpēlâ uh-fay-LA
as the noonday: כַּֽצָּהֳרָֽיִם׃ ṣōhar tsoh-HAHR
