பின்பு சிதேக்கியா ராஜா, எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசியைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலிருக்கும் மூன்றாம் வாசலிலே தன்னிடத்திற்கு வரவழைத்தான்; அங்கே ராஜா, எரேமியாவை நோக்கி: நான் உன்னிடத்தில் ஒரு காரியம் கேட்கிறேன்; நீ எனக்கு ஒன்றும் மறைக்கவேண்டாம் என்றான்.

பிறகு, அரசன் சிதேக்கியா ஒருவனை தீர்க்கதரிசி எரேமியாவிடம் அனுப்பினான். கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் மூன்றாவது வாசலுக்கு அவன் எரேமியாவை அழைத்தான். பிறகு அரசன், “எரேமியா, நான் உன்னிடம் சிலவற்றைக் கேட்கப்போகிறேன். என்னிடமிருந்து எதனையும் மறைக்க வேண்டாம். எல்லாவற்றையும் நேர்மையாக எனக்குக் கூறு” என்றான்.
