தம்முடைய கையில் பிதா எல்லாவற்றையும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தாரென்பதையும், தாம் தேவனிடத்திலிருந்து வந்ததையும், தேவனிடத்திற்குப் போகிறதையும் இயேசு அறிந்து;

இயேசுவுக்கு அவரது பிதா எல்லாவிதமான அதிகாரத்தையும் கொடுத்திருந்தார். இயேசு இதனை அறிந்திருந்தார். தேவனிடமிருந்து தான் வந்ததாக இயேசு தெரிந்துவைத்திருந்தார். அதோடு அவர் தன் பிதாவிடமே திரும்பிப் போகவேண்டும் என்பதனை அறிந்திருந்தார்.
