1 லேவிக்குப் பிறந்த கோகாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய இத்சேயாரின் மகன் கோராகு என்பவன் ரூபன் வம்சத்திலுள்ள எலியாபின் குமாரராகிய தாத்தானையும் அபிராமையும் பேலேத்தின் குமாரனாகிய ஓனையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:

2 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் சபைக்குத் தலைவர்களும் சங்கத்துக்கு அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்களும் பிரபலமானவர்களுமாகிய இருநூற்று ஐம்பது பேர்களோடும்கூட மோசேக்குமுன்பாக எழும்பி, And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

3 மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் விரோதமாகக் கூட்டங்கூடி, அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மிஞ்சிப்போகிறீர்கள்; சபையார் எல்லாரும் பரிசுத்தமானவர்கள்; கர்த்தர் அவர்கள் நடுவில் இருக்கிறாரே; இப்படியிருக்க, கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு மேலாக உங்களை ஏன் உயர்த்துகிறீர்கள் என்றார்கள். And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

4 மோசே அதைக் கேட்டபோது, முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தான். And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:

5 பின்பு அவன் கோராகையும் அவனுடைய எல்லாக் கூட்டத்தையும் நோக்கி: நாளைக்குக் கர்த்தர் தம்முடையவன் இன்னான் என்றும், தம்மண்டையிலே சேரத் தாம் கட்டளையிட்ட பரிசுத்தவான் இன்னான் என்றும் காண்பிப்பார்; அப்பொழுது எவனைத் தெரிந்துகொள்வாரோ, அவனைத் தம்மிடத்தில் சேரக் கட்டளையிடுவார். And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

6 ஒன்று செய்யுங்கள்; கோராகே, கோராகின் கூட்டத்தார்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் தூபகலசங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;

7 நாளைக்கு அவைகளில் அக்கினிபோட்டு, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் தூபவர்க்கம் இடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் எவனைத் தெரிந்துகொள்வாரோ, அவன் பரிசுத்தவானாயிருப்பான்; லேவியின் புத்திரராகிய நீங்களே மிஞ்சிப்போகிறீர்கள் என்றான். And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.

8 பின்னும் மோசே கோராகை நோக்கி: லேவியின் புத்திரரே, கேளுங்கள்; And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:

9 கர்த்தருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தின் பணிவிடைகளைச் செய்யவும், சபையாரின் முன் நின்று அவர்கள் செய்யவேண்டிய வேலைகளைச் செய்யவும், உங்களைத் தம்மண்டையிலே சேரப்பண்ணும்படி இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவன் இஸ்ரவேல் சபையாரிலிருந்து உங்களைப் பிரித்தெடுத்ததும், Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

10 அவர் உன்னையும் உன்னோடேகூட லேவியின் புத்திரராகிய உன்னுடைய எல்லாச் சகோதரரையும் சேரப்பண்ணினதும், உங்களுக்கு அற்பகாரியமோ? இப்பொழுது ஆசாரியப்பட்டத்தையும் தேடுகிறீர்களோ? And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?

11 இதற்காக நீயும் உன் கூட்டத்தார் அனைவரும் கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாகவே கூட்டங்கூடினீர்கள்; ஆரோனுக்கு விரோதமாக நீங்கள் முறுமுறுக்கிறதற்கு அவன் எம்மாத்திரம் என்றான். For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?

12 பின்பு மோசே எலியாபின் குமாரராகிய தாத்தானையும் அபிராமையும் அழைத்தனுப்பினான். அவர்கள்: நாங்கள் வருகிறதில்லை; And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:

13 இந்த வனாந்தரத்தில் எங்களைக் கொன்றுபோடும்படி, பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்திலிருந்து எங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்தது அற்பகாரியமோ, எங்கள்மேல் துரைத்தனமும் பண்ணப்பார்க்கிறாயோ? Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?

14 மேலும் நீ எங்களைப் பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவந்ததும் இல்லை, எங்களுக்கு வயல்களையும் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களையும் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்ததும் இல்லை; இந்த மனிதருடைய கண்களைப் பிடுங்கப்பார்க்கிறாயோ? நாங்கள் வருகிறதில்லை என்றார்கள். Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.

15 அப்பொழுது மோசேக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் மூண்டது; அவன் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: அவர்கள் செலுத்துங் காணிக்கையை அங்கிகரியாதிருப்பீராக; நான் அவர்களிடத்தில் ஒரு கழுதையை முதலாய் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளவில்லை; அவர்களில் ஒருவனுக்கும் யாதொரு பொல்லாப்பு செய்யவும் இல்லை என்றான். And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

16 பின்பு மோசே கோராகை நோக்கி: நீயும் உன் கூட்டத்தார் யாவரும் நாளைக்குக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வாருங்கள்; நீயும் அவர்களும் ஆரோனும் வந்திருங்கள். And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:

17 உங்களில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்கள் தங்கள் தூபகலசங்களை எடுத்து, அவைகளில் தூபவர்க்கத்தைப் போட்டு, தங்கள் தங்கள் தூபகலசங்களாகிய இருநூற்று ஐம்பது தூபகலசங்களையும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவரவேண்டும்; நீயும் ஆரோனும் தன் தன் தூபகலசத்தைக் கொண்டுவாருங்கள் என்றான். And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.

18 அப்படியே அவரவர் தங்கள் தங்கள் தூபகலசங்களை எடுத்து, அவைகளில் அக்கினியையும் தூபவர்க்கத்தையும் போட்டு, ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலுக்கு முன்பாக வந்து நின்றார்கள்; மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் அங்கே நின்றார்கள். And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

19 அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கோராகு சபையையெல்லாம் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடரவாசலுக்கு முன்பாகக் கூடிவரும்படி செய்தான்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை சபைக்கெல்லாம் காணப்பட்டது. And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.

20 கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடும் ஆரோனோடும் பேசி: And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

21 இந்தச் சபையை விட்டுப் பிரிந்துபோங்கள்; ஒரு நிமிஷத்திலே அவர்களை அதமாக்குவேன் என்றார். Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

22 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து: தேவனே, மாம்சமான யாவருடைய ஆவிகளுக்கும் தேவனே, ஒரு மனிதன் பாவம் செய்திருக்கச் சபையார் எல்லார்மேலும் கடுங்கோபங்கொள்வீரோ என்றார்கள். And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

23 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

24 கோராகு தாத்தான் அபிராம் என்பவர்களுடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தை விட்டு விலகிப்போங்கள் என்று சபையாருக்குச் சொல் என்றார். Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

25 உடனே மோசே எழுந்திருந்து, தாத்தான் அபிராம் என்பவர்களிடத்தில் போனான்; இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பரும் அவனைப் பின்சென்று போனார்கள். And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

26 அவன் சபையாரை நோக்கி இந்தத் துஷ்டமனிதரின் சகல பாவங்களிலும் நீங்கள் வாரிக்கொள்ளப்படாதபடிக்கு, அவர்கள் கூடாரங்களை விட்டு விலகி, அவர்களுக்கு உண்டானவைகளில் ஒன்றையும் தொடாதிருங்கள் என்றான். And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

27 அப்படியே அவர்கள் கோராகு தாத்தான் அபிராம் என்பவர்களுடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தை விட்டு விலகிப்போனார்கள்; தாத்தானும் அபிராமும் வெளியே வந்து, தங்கள் பெண்ஜாதிகள் பிள்ளைகள் குழந்தைகளோடும் தங்கள் கூடாரவாசலிலே நின்றார்கள். So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

28 அப்பொழுது மோசே: இந்தக் கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் செய்கிறதற்குக் கர்த்தர் என்னை அனுப்பினார் என்றும், அவைகளை நான் என் மனதின்படியே செய்யவில்லை என்றும், நீங்கள் எதினாலே அறிவீர்களென்றால், And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

29 சகல மனிதரும் சாகிறபடி இவர்கள் செத்து, சகல மனிதருக்கும் நேரிடுகிறதுபோல இவர்களுக்கும் நேரிட்டால், கர்த்தர் என்னை அனுப்பவில்லை என்று அறிவீர்கள். If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.

30 கர்த்தர் ஒரு புதிய காரியத்தை நேரிடச்செய்வதால், பூமி தன் வாயைத் திறந்து, இவர்கள் உயிரோடே பாதாளத்தில் இறங்கத்தக்கதாக இவர்களையும் இவர்களுக்கு உண்டான யாவையும் விழுங்கிப்போட்டதேயானால், இந்த மனிதர் கர்த்தரை அவமதித்தார்கள் என்பதை அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள் என்றான். But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

31 அவன் இந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் சொல்லி முடித்தவுடனே, அவர்கள் நின்றிருந்த நிலம் பிளந்தது; And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:

32 பூமி தன் வாயைத் திறந்து, அவர்களையும் அவர்கள் வீடுகளையும், கோராகுக்குரிய எல்லா மனிதரையும், அவர்களுக்கு உண்டான சகல பொருள்களையும் விழுங்கிப்போட்டது. And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

33 அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு உண்டானவை எல்லாவற்றோடும் உயிரோடே பாதாளத்தில் இறங்கினார்கள்; பூமி அவர்களை மூடிக்கொண்டது; இப்படிச் சபையின் நடுவிலிருந்து அழிந்துபோனார்கள். They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

34 அவர்களைச் சுற்றிலும் இருந்த இஸ்ரவேலர் யாவரும் அவர்கள் கூக்குரலைக்கேட்டு, பூமி நம்மையும் விழுங்கிப்போடும் என்று சொல்லி ஓடினார்கள். And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.

35 அக்கினி கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, தூபங்காட்டின இருநூற்று ஐம்பது பேரையும் பட்சித்துப்போட்டது. And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

36 பின்பு கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

37 அக்கினிக்குள் அகப்பட்ட தூபகலசங்களை எடுத்து, அவைகளிலிருக்கிற அக்கினியை அப்பாலே கொட்டிப்போடும்படி ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனின் குமாரன் எலெயாசாருக்குச் சொல்; அந்தத் தூபகலசங்கள் பரிசுத்தமாயின. Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.

38 தங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கே கேடுண்டாக்கின அந்தப் பாவிகளின் தூபகலசங்களைப் பலிபீடத்தை மூடத்தக்க தட்டையான தகடுகளாய் அடிக்கக்கடவர்கள்; அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அவைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்ததினால் அவைகள் பரிசுத்தமாயின; அவைகள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு ஒரு அடையாளமாயிருக்கும் என்றார். The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

39 அப்படியே ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசார் சுட்டெரிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் கொண்டுவந்திருந்த வெண்கலத் தூபகலசங்களை எடுத்து, And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:

40 ஆரோனின் புத்திரராய் இராத அந்நியன் ஒருவனும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் தூபங்காட்ட வராதபடிக்கும், கோராகைப்போலும் அவன் கூட்டத்தாரைப்போலும் இராதபடிக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு ஞாபகக்குறியாயிருக்கும்பொருட்டு, கர்த்தர் மோசேயைக்கொண்டு தனக்குச் சொன்னபடியே அவைகளைப் பலிபீடத்தை மூடும் தகடுகளாக அடிப்பித்தான். To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.

41 மறுநாளில் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் சபையார் எல்லாரும் மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் விரோதமாக முறுமுறுத்து: நீங்கள் கர்த்தரின் ஜனங்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்டீர்கள் என்றார்கள். But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

42 சபையார் மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் விரோதமாகக் கூடி ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்கு நேரே பார்க்கிறபோது, மேகம் அதை மூடினது, கர்த்தரின் மகிமை காணப்பட்டது. And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.

43 மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்கு முன்பாக வந்தார்கள். And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.

44 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

45 இந்தச் சபையாரை விட்டு விலகிப்போங்கள்; ஒரு நிமிஷத்தில் அவர்களை அதமாக்குவேன் என்றார்; அவர்கள் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள். Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

46 மோசே ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ தூபகலசத்தை எடுத்து, பலிபீடத்திலிருக்கிற அக்கினியை அதில் போட்டு, அதின்மேல் தூபவர்க்கம் இட்டு, சீக்கிரமாய்ச் சபையினிடத்தில் போய், அவர்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்; கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து கடுங்கோபம் புறப்பட்டது, வாதை தொடங்கிற்று என்றான். And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

47 மோசே சொன்னபடி ஆரோன் அதை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு சபையின் நடுவில் ஓடினான்; ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே வாதை தொடங்கியிருந்தது; அவன் தூபவர்க்கம் போட்டு, ஜனங்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்து, And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.

48 செத்தவர்களுக்கும் உயிரோடிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் நடுவே நின்றான்; அப்பொழுது வாதை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது. And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

49 கோராகின் காரியத்தினிமித்தம் செத்தவர்கள் தவிர, அந்த வாதையினால் செத்துப்போனவர்கள் பதினாலாயிரத்து எழுநூறுபேர். Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

2 Israel puththiraril Sabaikkuth thalaivarkalum sangaththukku alaikkappattavarkalum pirapalamaanavarkalumaakiya irunoottaு aimpathu paerkalodumkooda Moseskkumunpaaka elumpi, And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

3 Moseskkum aaronukkum virothamaakak koottangaூti, avarkalai Nnokki: neengal minjippokireerkal; Sabaiyaar ellaarum Parisuththamaanavarkal; Karththar avarkal naduvil irukkiraarae; ippatiyirukka, karththarutaiya Sabaikku maelaaka ungalai aen uyarththukireerkal entarkal. And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

4 Moses athaik kaettapothu, mukanguppura vilunthaan. And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:

5 Pinpu avan koraakaiyum avanutaiya ellaak koottaththaiyum Nnokki: naalaikkuk Karththar thammutaiyavan innaan entum, thammanntaiyilae serath thaam kattalaiyitta Parisuththavaan innaan entum kaannpippaar; appoluthu evanaith therinthukolvaaro, avanaith thammidaththil serak kattalaiyiduvaar. And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

6 Ontu seyyungal; koraakae, koraakin koottaththaarkalae, neengal ellaarum thoopakalasangalai eduththukkonndu, This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;

7 Naalaikku avaikalil akkinipottu, karththarutaiya sannithiyil thoopavarkkam idungal; appoluthu Karththar evanaith therinthukolvaaro, avan Parisuththavaanaayiruppaan; laeviyin puththiraraakiya neengalae minjippokireerkal entan. And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.

8 Pinnum Moses koraakai Nnokki: laeviyin puththirarae, kaelungal; And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:

9 Karththarutaiya vaasasthalaththin pannivitaikalaich seyyavum, Sabaiyaarin mun nintu avarkal seyyavaenntiya vaelaikalaich seyyavum, ungalaith thammanntaiyilae serappannnumpati isravaelin Dhevan Israel Sabaiyaarilirunthu ungalaip piriththeduththathum, Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

10 Avar unnaiyum unnotaekooda laeviyin puththiraraakiya unnutaiya ellaach sakothararaiyum serappannnninathum, ungalukku arpakaariyamo? Ippoluthu aasaariyappattaththaiyum thaedukireerkalo? And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?

11 Itharkaaka neeyum un koottaththaar anaivarum karththarukku virothamaakavae koottangaூtineerkal; aaronukku virothamaaka neengal muraுmuraுkkiratharku avan emmaaththiram entan. For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?

12 Pinpu Moses eliyaapin kumaararaakiya thaaththaanaiyum apiraamaiyum alaiththanuppinaan. Avarkal: naangal varukirathillai; And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:

13 Intha vanaantharaththil engalaik kontupodumpati, paalum thaenum odukira thaesaththilirunthu engalaik konnduvanthathu arpakaariyamo, engalmael thuraiththanamum pannnappaarkkiraayo? Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?

14 Maelum nee engalaip paalum thaenum odukira thaesaththukkuk konnduvanthathum illai, engalukku vayalkalaiyum thiraatchaththottangalaiyum suthantharamaakak koduththathum illai; intha manitharutaiya kannkalaip pidungappaarkkiraayo? Naangal varukirathillai entarkal. Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.

15 Appoluthu Moseskkuk kadungaோpam moonndathu; avan karththarai Nnokki: avarkal seluththung kaannikkaiyai angikariyaathiruppeeraaka; naan avarkalidaththil oru kaluthaiyai muthalaay eduththukkollavillai; avarkalil oruvanukkum yaathoru pollaappu seyyavum illai entan. And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

16 Pinpu Moses koraakai Nnokki: neeyum un koottaththaar yaavarum naalaikkuk karththarutaiya sannithiyil vaarungal; neeyum avarkalum aaronum vanthirungal. And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:

17 Ungalil ovvoruvarum thangal thangal thoopakalasangalai eduththu, avaikalil thoopavarkkaththaip pottu, thangal thangal thoopakalasangalaakiya irunoottaு aimpathu thoopakalasangalaiyum karththarutaiya sannithiyil konnduvaravaenndum; neeyum aaronum than than thoopakalasaththaik konnduvaarungal entan. And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.

18 Appatiyae avaravar thangal thangal thoopakalasangalai eduththu, avaikalil akkiniyaiyum thoopavarkkaththaiyum pottu, aasarippuk koodaaravaasalukku munpaaka vanthu nintarkal; Mosesyum aaronum angae nintarkal. And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

19 Avarkalukku virothamaakak koraaku Sabaiyaiyellaam aasarippuk koodaravaasalukku munpaakak kootivarumpati seythaan; appoluthu karththarutaiya makimai Sabaikkellaam kaanappattathu. And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.

20 Karththar Mosesyodum aaronodum paesi: And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

21 Inthach Sabaiyai vittup pirinthupongal; oru nimishaththilae avarkalai athamaakkuvaen entar. Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

22 Appoluthu avarkal mukanguppuravilunthu: thaevanae, maamsamaana yaavarutaiya aavikalukkum thaevanae, oru manithan paavam seythirukkach Sabaiyaar ellaarmaelum kadungaோpangaொlveero entarkal. And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

23 Appoluthu Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

24 Koraaku thaaththaan apiraam enpavarkalutaiya vaasasthalaththai vittu vilakippongal entu Sabaiyaarukkuch sol entar. Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

25 Udanae Moses elunthirunthu, thaaththaan apiraam enpavarkalidaththil ponaan; isravaelin moopparum avanaip pinsentu ponaarkal. And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

26 Avan Sabaiyaarai Nnokki inthath thushdamanitharin sakala paavangalilum neengal vaarikkollappadaathapatikku, avarkal koodaarangalai vittu vilaki, avarkalukku unndaanavaikalil ontaiyum thodaathirungal entan. And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

27 Appatiyae avarkal koraaku thaaththaan apiraam enpavarkalutaiya vaasasthalaththai vittu vilakipponaarkal; thaaththaanum apiraamum veliyae vanthu, thangal pennjaathikal pillaikal kulanthaikalodum thangal koodaaravaasalilae nintarkal. So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

28 Appoluthu Moses: inthak kiriyaikalaiyellaam seykiratharkuk Karththar ennai anuppinaar entum, avaikalai naan en manathinpatiyae seyyavillai entum, neengal ethinaalae ariveerkalental, And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

29 Sakala manitharum saakirapati ivarkal seththu, sakala manitharukkum naeridukirathupola ivarkalukkum naerittal, Karththar ennai anuppavillai entu ariveerkal. If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.

30 Karththar oru puthiya kaariyaththai naeridachcheyvathaal, poomi than vaayaith thiranthu, ivarkal uyirotae paathaalaththil irangaththakkathaaka ivarkalaiyum ivarkalukku unndaana yaavaiyum vilungippottathaeyaanaal, intha manithar karththarai avamathiththaarkal enpathai arinthukolveerkal entan. But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

31 Avan intha vaarththaikalaiyellaam solli mutiththavudanae, avarkal nintiruntha nilam pilanthathu; And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:

32 Poomi than vaayaith thiranthu, avarkalaiyum avarkal veedukalaiyum, koraakukkuriya ellaa manitharaiyum, avarkalukku unndaana sakala porulkalaiyum vilungippottathu. And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

33 Avarkal thangalukku unndaanavai ellaavattaோdum uyirotae paathaalaththil iranginaarkal; poomi avarkalai mootikkonndathu; ippatich Sabaiyin naduvilirunthu alinthuponaarkal. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

34 Avarkalaich suttilum iruntha isravaelar yaavarum avarkal kookkuralaikkaettu, poomi nammaiyum vilungippodum entu solli otinaarkal. And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.

35 Akkini karththarutaiya sannithiyilirunthu purappattu, thoopangaattina irunoottaு aimpathu paeraiyum patchiththuppottathu. And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

36 Pinpu Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

37 Akkinikkul akappatta thoopakalasangalai eduththu, avaikalilirukkira akkiniyai appaalae kottippodumpati aasaariyanaakiya aaronin kumaaran eleyaasaarukkuch sol; anthath thoopakalasangal Parisuththamaayina. Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.

38 Thangal aaththumaakkalukkae kaedunndaakkina anthap paavikalin thoopakalasangalaip palipeedaththai moodaththakka thattaைyaana thakadukalaay atikkakkadavarkal; avarkal karththarutaiya sannithiyil avaikalaik konnduvanthathinaal avaikal Parisuththamaayina; avaikal Israel puththirarukku oru ataiyaalamaayirukkum entar. The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

39 Appatiyae aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaar sutterikkappattavarkal konnduvanthiruntha vennkalath thoopakalasangalai eduththu, And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:

40 Aaronin puththiraraay iraatha anniyan oruvanum karththarutaiya sannithiyil thoopangaatta varaathapatikkum, koraakaippolum avan koottaththaaraippolum iraathapatikkum, Israel puththirarukku njaapakakkuriyaayirukkumporuttu, Karththar Mosesyaikkonndu thanakkuch sonnapatiyae avaikalaip palipeedaththai moodum thakadukalaaka atippiththaan. To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.

41 Maraுnaalil Israel puththirarin Sabaiyaar ellaarum Moseskkum aaronukkum virothamaaka muraுmuraுththu: neengal karththarin janangalaik kontupottirkal entarkal. But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

42 Sabaiyaar Moseskkum aaronukkum virothamaakak kooti aasarippuk koodaaraththukku naerae paarkkirapothu, maekam athai mootinathu, karththarin makimai kaanappattathu. And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.

43 Mosesyum aaronum aasarippuk koodaaraththukku munpaaka vanthaarkal. And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.

44 Appoluthu Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

45 Inthach Sabaiyaarai vittu vilakippongal; oru nimishaththil avarkalai athamaakkuvaen entar; avarkal mukanguppura vilunthaarkal. Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

46 Moses aaronai Nnokki: nee thoopakalasaththai eduththu, palipeedaththilirukkira akkiniyai athil pottu, athinmael thoopavarkkam ittu, seekkiramaaych Sabaiyinidaththil poy, avarkalukkaakap paavanivirththi sey; karththarutaiya sannithiyilirunthu kadungaோpam purappattathu, vaathai thodangittaு entan. And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

47 Moses sonnapati aaron athai eduththukkonndu Sabaiyin naduvil otinaan; janangalukkullae vaathai thodangiyirunthathu; avan thoopavarkkam pottu, janangalukkaakap paavanivirththi seythu, And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.

48 Seththavarkalukkum uyirotirukkiravarkalukkum naduvae nintan; appoluthu vaathai niraுththappattathu. And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

49 Koraakin kaariyaththinimiththam seththavarkal thavira, antha vaathaiyinaal seththupponavarkal pathinaalaayiraththu elunooraுpaer. Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

50 Vaathai niraுththappattathu; appoluthu aaron aasarippuk koodaaravaasalukku Mosesyinidaththil thirumpivanthaan. And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.
