Exodus 20 in Tamil

1 தேவன் பேசிச் சொல்லிய சகல வார்த்தைகளுமாவன: And God spake all these words, saying,

2 உன்னை அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே. I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 என்னையன்றி உனக்கு வேறே தேவர்கள் உண்டாயிருக்கவேண்டாம். Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 மேலே வானத்திலும், கீழே பூமியிலும், பூமியின்கீழ்த் தண்ணீரிலும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறவைகளுக்கு ஒப்பான ஒரு சொரூபத்தையாகிலும் யாதொரு விக்கிரகத்தையாகிலும் நீ உனக்கு உண்டாக்க வேண்டாம்; Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 நீ அவைகளை நமஸ்கரிக்கவும் சேவிக்கவும் வேண்டாம்; உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தராயிருக்கிற நான் எரிச்சலுள்ள தேவனாயிருந்து, என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களைக் குறித்துப் பிதாக்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தைப் பிள்ளைகளிடத்தில் மூன்றாம் நான்காம் தலைமுறைமட்டும் விசாரிக்கிறவராயிருக்கிறேன். Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 என்னிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, என் கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கோ ஆயிரம் தலைமுறைமட்டும் இரக்கஞ் செய்கிறவராயிருக்கிறேன். And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தை வீணிலே வழங்காதிருப்பாயாக; கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய நாமத்தை வீணிலே வழங்குகிறவனைத் தண்டியாமல் விடார். Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 ஓய்வுநாளைப் பரிசுத்தமாய் ஆசரிக்க நினைப்பாயாக; Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 ஆறுநாளும் நீ வேலைசெய்து, உன் கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் நடப்பிப்பாயாக; Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:

10 ஏழாம்நாளோ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஓய்வுநாள்; அதிலே நீயானாலும், உன் குமாரனானாலும், உன் குமாரத்தியானாலும், உன் வேலைக்காரனானாலும், உன் வேலைக்காரியானாலும், உன் மிருக ஜீவனானாலும், உன் வாசல்களில் இருக்கிற அந்நியனானாலும், யாதொரு வேலையும் செய்யவேண்டாம். But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 கர்த்தர் ஆறுநாளைக்குள்ளே வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சமுத்திரத்தையும் அவைகளிலுள்ள எல்லாவற்றையும் உண்டாக்கி, ஏழாம்நாளிலே ஓய்ந்திருந்தார்; ஆகையால், கர்த்தர் ஓய்வுநாளை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அதைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கினார். For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கிற தேசத்திலே உன் நாட்கள் நீடித்திருப்பதற்கு, உன் தகப்பனையும் உன் தாயையும் கனம்பண்ணுவாயாக. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 கொலை செய்யாதிருப்பாயாக. Thou shalt not kill.

14 விபசாரம் செய்யாதிருப்பாயாக. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 களவு செய்யாதிருப்பாயாக. Thou shalt not steal.

16 பிறனுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பொய்ச்சாட்சி சொல்லாதிருப்பாயாக. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

17 பிறனுடைய வீட்டை இச்சியாதிருப்பாயாக; பிறனுடைய மனைவியையும், அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரனையும், அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரியையும், அவனுடைய எருதையும், அவனுடைய கழுதையையும், பின்னும் பிறனுக்குள்ள யாதொன்றையும் இச்சியாதிருப்பாயாக என்றார். Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

18 ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் இடிமுழக்கங்களையும் மின்னல்களையும் எக்காளச் சத்தத்தையும் மலை புகைகிறதையும் கண்டார்கள்; அதைக் கண்டு, ஜனங்கள் பின்வாங்கி, தூரத்திலே நின்று, And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

19 மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீர் எங்களோடே பேசும், நாங்கள் கேட்போம்; தேவன் எங்களோடே பேசாதிருப்பாராக, பேசினால் நாங்கள் செத்துப்போவோம் என்றார்கள். And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

20 மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; உங்களைச் சோதிப்பதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் பாவம்செய்யாதபடிக்குத் தம்மைப் பற்றும் பயம் உங்கள் முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருப்பதற்காகவும், தேவன் எழுந்தருளினார் என்றான். And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

21 ஜனங்கள் தூரத்திலே நின்றார்கள்; மோசே, தேவன் இருந்த கார்மேகத்துக்குச் சமீபமாய்ச் சேர்ந்தான். And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

22 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால், நான் வானத்திலிருந்து உங்களோடே பேசினேன் என்று கண்டீர்கள். And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

23 நீங்கள் எனக்கு ஒப்பாக வெள்ளியினாலே தெய்வங்களையும் பொன்னினாலே தெய்வங்களையும் உங்களுக்கு உண்டாக்கவே வேண்டாம். Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

24 மண்ணினாலே பலிபீடத்தை எனக்கு உண்டாக்கி, அதின்மேல் உன் ஆடுகளையும் உன் மாடுகளையும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகவும் சமாதானபலியாகவும் செலுத்துவாயாக; நான் என் நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்தும் எந்த ஸ்தானத்திலும் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்து, உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பேன். An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

25 எனக்குக் கல்லினால் பலிபீடத்தை உண்டாக்கவேண்டுமாகில், அதை வெட்டின கல்லுகளால் கட்டவேண்டாம்; அதின்மேல் உளியிட்டவுடனே, அதை அசுசிப்படுத்துவாய். And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

26 என் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் உன் நிர்வாணம் காணப்படாதபடிக்கு, படிகளால் அதின்மேல் ஏறவும் வேண்டாம். Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

1 Dhevan paesich solliya sakala vaarththaikalumaavana: And God spake all these words, saying,

2 Unnai atimaiththana veedaakiya ekipthu thaesaththilirunthu purappadappannnnina un thaevanaakiya Karththar naanae. I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Ennaiyanti unakku vaeraே thaevarkal unndaayirukkavaenndaam. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Maelae vaanaththilum, geelae poomiyilum, poomiyingeelth thannnneerilum unndaayirukkiravaikalukku oppaana oru soroopaththaiyaakilum yaathoru vikkirakaththaiyaakilum nee unakku unndaakka vaenndaam; Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Nee avaikalai namaskarikkavum sevikkavum vaenndaam; un thaevanaakiya karththaraayirukkira naan erichchalulla thaevanaayirunthu, ennaip pakaikkiravarkalaik kuriththup pithaakkalutaiya akkiramaththaip pillaikalidaththil moontam naankaam thalaimuraimattum visaarikkiravaraayirukkiraேn. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 Ennidaththil anpukoornthu, en karpanaikalaik kaikkollukiravarkalukko aayiram thalaimuraimattum irakkanj seykiravaraayirukkiraேn. And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Un thaevanaakiya karththarutaiya naamaththai veennilae valangaathiruppaayaaka; Karththar thammutaiya naamaththai veennilae valangukiravanaith thanntiyaamal vidaar. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Oyvunaalaip Parisuththamaay aasarikka ninaippaayaaka; Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Aaraுnaalum nee vaelaiseythu, un kiriyaikalaiyellaam nadappippaayaaka; Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:

10 Aelaamnaalo un thaevanaakiya karththarutaiya oyvunaal; athilae neeyaanaalum, un kumaaranaanaalum, un kumaaraththiyaanaalum, un vaelaikkaaranaanaalum, un vaelaikkaariyaanaalum, un miruka jeevanaanaalum, un vaasalkalil irukkira anniyanaanaalum, yaathoru vaelaiyum seyyavaenndaam. But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 Karththar aaraுnaalaikkullae vaanaththaiyum poomiyaiyum samuththiraththaiyum avaikalilulla ellaavattaைyum unndaakki, aelaamnaalilae oynthirunthaar; aakaiyaal, Karththar oyvunaalai aaseervathiththu, athaip Parisuththamaakkinaar. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Un thaevanaakiya Karththar unakkuk kodukkira thaesaththilae un naatkal neetiththiruppatharku, un thakappanaiyum un thaayaiyum kanampannnuvaayaaka. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 Kolai seyyaathiruppaayaaka. Thou shalt not kill.

14 Vipasaaram seyyaathiruppaayaaka. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Kalavu seyyaathiruppaayaaka. Thou shalt not steal.

16 Piranukku virothamaakap poychchaாtchi sollaathiruppaayaaka. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

17 Piranutaiya veettaை ichchiyaathiruppaayaaka; piranutaiya manaiviyaiyum, avanutaiya vaelaikkaaranaiyum, avanutaiya vaelaikkaariyaiyum, avanutaiya eruthaiyum, avanutaiya kaluthaiyaiyum, pinnum piranukkulla yaathontaiyum ichchiyaathiruppaayaaka entar. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

18 Janangal ellaarum itimulakkangalaiyum minnalkalaiyum ekkaalach saththaththaiyum malai pukaikirathaiyum kanndaarkal; athaik kanndu, janangal pinvaangi, thooraththilae nintu, And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

19 Mosesyai Nnokki: neer engalotae paesum, naangal kaetpom; Dhevan engalotae paesaathiruppaaraaka, paesinaal naangal seththuppovom entarkal. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

20 Moses janangalai Nnokki: payappadaathirungal; ungalaich sothippatharkaakavum, neengal paavamseyyaathapatikkuth thammaip pattaுm payam ungal mukaththirku munpaaka iruppatharkaakavum, Dhevan eluntharulinaar entan. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

21 Janangal thooraththilae nintarkal; Moses, Dhevan iruntha kaarmaekaththukkuch sameepamaaych sernthaan. And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

22 Appoluthu Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: nee Israel puththirarotae sollavaenntiyathu ennavental, naan vaanaththilirunthu ungalotae paesinaen entu kannteerkal. And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

23 Neengal enakku oppaaka velliyinaalae theyvangalaiyum ponninaalae theyvangalaiyum ungalukku unndaakkavae vaenndaam. Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

24 Mannnninaalae palipeedaththai enakku unndaakki, athinmael un aadukalaiyum un maadukalaiyum sarvaanga thakanapaliyaakavum samaathaanapaliyaakavum seluththuvaayaaka; naan en naamaththaip pirasthaapappaduththum entha sthaanaththilum unnidaththil vanthu, unnai aaseervathippaen. An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

25 Enakkuk kallinaal palipeedaththai unndaakkavaenndumaakil, athai vettina kallukalaal kattavaenndaam; athinmael uliyittavudanae, athai asusippaduththuvaay. And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

26 En palipeedaththinmael un nirvaanam kaanappadaathapatikku, patikalaal athinmael aeravum vaenndaam. Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
