நீ பூமியிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்டபடியால், நீ பூமிக்குத் திரும்புமட்டும் உன் முகத்தின் வேர்வையால் ஆகாரம் புசிப்பாய்; நீ மண்ணாயிருக்கிறாய், மண்ணுக்குத் திரும்புவாய் என்றார்.

அப்பொழுது நான்: ஐயோ! அதமானேன், நான் அசுத்த உதடுகளுள்ள மனுஷன், அசுத்த உதடுகளுள்ள ஜனங்களின் நடுவில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறவன்; சேனைகளின் கர்த்தராகிய ராஜாவை என் கண்கள் கண்டதே என்றேன்.

தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் மனுஷனைப் பூமியின் மண்ணினாலே உருவாக்கி, ஜீவசுவாசத்தை அவன் நாசியிலே ஊதினார், மனுஷன் ஜீவாத்துமாவானான்.

சோர்ந்துபோகாமல் எப்பொழுதும் ஜெபம்பண்ணவேண்டும் என்பதைக் குறித்து அவர்களுக்கு அவர் ஒரு உவமையைச் சொன்னார்.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் இன்னும் பேசுகிறேன், ஆண்டவருக்குக் கோபம் வராமலிருப்பதாக; முப்பது நீதிமான்கள் அங்கே காணப்பட்டாலோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: நான் முப்பது நீதிமான்களை அங்கே கண்டால், அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார்.

என்தேவனே, நான் என்முகத்தை என் தேவனாகிய உமக்கு முன்பாக ஏறெடுக்க வெட்கிக் கலங்குகிறேன்; எங்கள் அக்கிரமங்கள் எங்கள் தலைக்குமேலாகப் பெருகிற்று; எங்கள் குற்றம் வானபரியந்தம் வளர்ந்துபோயிற்று.

புழுதியில் அஸ்திபாரம் போட்டு, மண் வீடுகளில் வாசம்பண்ணி, பொட்டுப்பூச்சியால் அரிக்கப்படுகிறவர்கள்மேல் அவர் நம்பிக்கை வைப்பது எப்படி?

சேற்றிலே தள்ளப்பட்டேன்; தூளுக்கும் சாம்பலுக்கும் ஒப்பானேன்.

ஆகையால் நான் என்னை அருவருத்து, தூளிலும் சாம்பலிலும் இருந்து மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறேன் என்றான்.

மனுஷனை நீர் நினைக்கிறதற்கும், மனுஷகுமாரனை நீர் விசாரிக்கிறதற்கும் அவன் எம்மாத்திரம் என்கிறேன்.

கர்த்தாவே, மனுஷனை நீர் கவனிக்கிறதற்கும், மனுபுத்திரனை நீர் எண்ணுகிதற்கும், அவன் எம்மாத்திரம்?

இவ்விதமாய் மண்ணானது தான் முன்னிருந்த பூமிக்குத் திரும்பி, ஆவி தன்னைத் தந்த தேவனிடத்திற்கு மறுபடியும் போகாததற்குமுன்னும், அவரை உன் வாலிபப்பிராயத்திலே நினை.

இப்பொழுதும் கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எங்களுடைய பிதா, நாங்கள் களிமண்; நீர் எங்களை உருவாக்குகிறவர், நாங்கள் அனைவரும் உமது கரத்தின் கிரியை.

சீமோன் பேதுரு அதைக்கண்டு, இயேசுவின் பாதத்தில் விழுந்து: ஆண்டவரே, நான் பாவியான மனுஷன், நீர் என்னைவிட்டுப் போகவேண்டும் என்றான்.

முந்தின மனுஷன் பூமியிலிருந்துண்டான மண்ணானவன்; இரண்டாம் மனுஷன் வானத்திலிருந்து வந்த கர்த்தர்.

பூமிக்குரிய கூடாரமாகிய நம்முடைய வீடு அழிந்துபோனாலும், தேவனால் கட்டப்பட்ட கைவேலையல்லாத நித்திய வீடு பரலோகத்திலே நமக்கு உண்டென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
