ஆபிரகாம் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து, தன் கழுதையின்மேல் சேணங்கட்டி, தன் வேலைக்காரரில் இரண்டுபேரையும் தன் குமாரன் ஈசாக்கையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, தகனபலிக்குக் கட்டைகளையும் பிளந்து கொண்டு, தேவன் தனக்குக் குறித்த இடத்திற்குப் புறப்பட்டுப்போனான்.

இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் கிபியாவுக்கு அப்பாலே வைத்த மறைவிடங்களில் இருந்தவர்களை நம்பியிருந்ததினால், பென்யமீனர்களுக்கு இடம் கொடுத்தார்கள்; அதினாலே அவர்கள் முறியடிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள் என்று பென்யமீனின் போர்வீரர்கள் கண்டார்கள்.
