விசுவாசித்தவர்களாகிய நாமே அந்த இளைப்பாறுதலில் பிரவேசிக்கிறோம்; அவருடைய கிரியைகள் உலத்தோற்றமுதல் முடிந்திருந்தும் இவர்கள் என்னுடைய இளைப்பாறுதலில் பிரவேசிப்பதில்லையென்று என்னுடைய கோபத்திலே ஆணையிட்டேன் என்றார்

விசுவாசித்த நாமோ அந்த இளைப்பாறுதலில் நுழைகிறோம்; விசுவாசியாதவர்களைக் குறித்து தேவன்‌: இவர்கள் என்னுடைய இளைப்பாறுதலில் நுழையமாட்டார்கள் என்று என்னுடைய கோபத்திலே ஆணையிட்டேன் என்றார். அவருடைய செயல்கள் உலகம் தோன்றிய காலத்திலேயே முடிந்திருந்தும் இப்படிச் சொன்னார்.

விசுவாசித்த நம்மால் தேவனுடைய இளைப்பாறுதலில் நுழைய முடியும். தேவன் சொன்னதுபோல, “எனவே நான் கோபத்தோடு, ‘அவர்கள் ஒருபோதும் எனது இளைப்பாறுதலுக்குள் நுழைய முடியாது’ என்று ஆணையிட்டேன்” தேவன் இதைச் சொன்னார். ஆனால் இவ்வுலகத்தை உருவாக்கின நேரமுதல் தம் வேலையை தேவன் முடித்தார்.

இந்த ஓய்வைப் பெறுகிறவர்கள் நம்பிக்கையுடன் இருக்கும் நாமே. இதைக் குறித்தே, ⁽ “நான் சினமுற்று, ‘நான் அளிக்கும்␢ இளைப்பாற்றியின் நாட்டிற்குள்␢ நுழையவேமாட்டார்கள்’␢ என்று ஆணையிட்டுக் கூறினேன்”⁾ என எடுத்துரைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. எனினும் உலகம் தோன்றிய காலத்திலேயே கடவுளுடைய வேலைகள் முடிந்துவிட்டன.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

American Standard Version (ASV)
For we who have believed do enter into that rest; even as he hath said, As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
