Jeremiah 29 in Tamil

1 எகொனியா ராஜாவும், ராஜஸ்திரீயும், பிரதானிகளும், யூதாவிலும் எருசலேமிலுமுள்ள பிரபுக்களும், தச்சரும், கொல்லரும் எருசலேமைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போன பிற்பாடு, Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

2 எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசி சிறைப்பட்டுப்போன மூப்பர்களில் மீதியானவர்களுக்கும், ஆசாரியர்களுக்கும், தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும், நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் சிறைப்படுத்தி எருசலேமிலிருந்து பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோன சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் எழுதி, (After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)

3 யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிதேக்கியா பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரிடத்தில் கொடுக்கும்படி சாப்பானின் குமாரனாகிய எலெயாசாரின் கையிலும், இல்க்கியாவின் குமாரனாகிய கெமரியாவின் கையிலும் கொடுத்து, எருசலேமிலிருந்து பாபிலோனுக்கு அனுப்பின நிருபத்தின் விபரம்: By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,

4 இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர், தாம் எருசலேமிலிருந்து பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போகப்பண்ணின அனைவருக்கும் அறிவிக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;

5 நீங்கள் வீடுகளைக் கட்டி, குடியிருந்து, தோட்டங்களை நாட்டி, அவைகளின் கனியைச் சாப்பிடுங்கள். Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;

6 நீங்கள் பெண்களை விவாகம்பண்ணி, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்று, உங்கள் குமாரருக்குப் பெண்களைக்கொண்டு, உங்கள் குமாரத்திகளைப் புருஷருக்குக் கொடுங்கள்; இவர்களும் குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெறட்டும்; நீங்கள் அங்கே குறுகாமல் பெருகி, Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

7 நான் உங்களைச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போகப்பண்ணின பட்டணத்தின் சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி, அதற்காகக் கர்த்தரை விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அதற்குச் சமாதானமிருக்கையில் உங்களுக்கும் சமாதானமிருக்கும். And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

8 மேலும், உங்கள் நடுவிலிருக்கிற உங்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் உங்கள் குறிகாரரும் உங்களை மோசம்போக்கவொட்டாதிருங்கள்; சொப்பனம் காணப்பண்ணுகிற உங்கள் சொப்பனக்காரருக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும் இருங்கள் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

9 அவர்கள் என் நாமத்தைச் சொல்லி உங்களுக்குப் பொய்யான தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைக்கிறார்கள்; நான் அவர்களை அனுப்பினதில்லை என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

10 பாபிலோனிலே எழுபதுவருஷம் நிறைவேறினபின்பு நான் உங்களைச் சந்தித்து, உங்களை இவ்விடத்துக்குத் திரும்பிவரப்பண்ணும்படிக்கு உங்கள்மேல் என் நல்வார்த்தையை நிறைவேறப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

11 நீங்கள் எதிர்பார்த்திருக்கும் முடிவை உங்களுக்கு கொடுக்கும்படிக்கு நான் உங்கள்பேரில் நினைத்திருக்கிற நினைவுகளை அறிவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அவைகள் தீமைக்கல்ல, சமாதானத்துக்கேதுவான நினைவுகளே. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12 அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் கூடிவந்து, என்னைத் தொழுதுகொண்டு என்னை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணுவீர்கள்; நான் உங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பேன். Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

13 உங்கள் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் என்னைத் தேடினீர்களானால், என்னைத் தேடுகையில் கண்டுபிடிப்பீர்கள். And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

14 நான் உங்களுக்குக் காணப்படுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் உங்கள் சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்பி நான் உங்களைத் துரத்திவிட்ட எல்லா ஜாதிகளிலும் எல்லா இடங்களிலுமிருந்து உங்களைச் சேர்த்து, நான் உங்களை விலக்கியிருந்த ஸ்தலத்துக்கே உங்களைத் திரும்பிவரப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

15 கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குப் பாபிலோனிலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை எழுப்பினார் என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள். Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;

16 ஆனால் தாவீதின் சிங்காசனத்தில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிற ராஜாவைக்குறித்தும் உங்களோடேகூடச் சிறையிருப்பில் புறப்பட்டுப்போகாமல் இந்த நகரத்தில் குடியிருக்கிற உங்கள் சகோதரராகிய எல்லா ஜனங்களைக்குறித்தும், Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;

17 இதோ, நான் பட்டயத்தையும், பஞ்சத்தையும், கொள்ளைநோயையும் அவர்களுக்குள் அனுப்புவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; புசிக்கத்தகாத கெட்டுப்போன அத்திப்பழங்களுக்கு அவர்களை ஒப்பாக்குவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

18 அவர்கள் என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாமற்போனபடியால், நான் அவர்களைப் பட்டயத்தாலும், பஞ்சத்தாலும் கொள்ளைநோயாலும் பின்தொடர்ந்து, அவர்களைப் பூமியிலுள்ள எல்லா ராஜ்யங்களிலும் அலைந்து திரிகிறவர்களாகவும், நான் அவர்களைத் துரத்துகிற எல்லா ஜாதிகளிடத்திலும் சாபமாகவும், பாழாகவும் ஈசலிடுதலுக்கிடமாகவும், நிந்தையாகவும் வைப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:

19 நான் உங்களிடத்திற்குத் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய என் ஊழியக்காரரை ஏற்கனவே அனுப்பிக்கொண்டேயிருந்தும், நீங்கள் செவிகொடாமற்போனீர்களே என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

20 இப்போதும் சிறையிருக்கும்படி நான் எருசலேமிலிருந்து பாபிலோனுக்கு அனுப்பிவிட்ட நீங்களெல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள். Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:

21 என் நாமத்தைச் சொல்லி உங்களுக்குப் பொய்யான தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைக்கிற கொலாயாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஆகாபையும், மாசெயாவின் குமாரனாகிய சிதேக்கியாவையுங்குறித்து: இதோ, நான் அவர்களைப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் கையிலே ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கிறேன், அவன் அவர்களை உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகக் கொன்றுபோடுவான். Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

22 பாபிலோன் ராஜா அக்கினியினால் சுட்டுப்போட்ட சிதேக்கியாவுக்கும் ஆகாபுக்கும் கர்த்தர் உன்னைச் சமானமாக்கக்கடவரென்று, அவர்களைக் குறித்து ஒரு சாபவார்த்தை பாபிலோனிலே சிறையிருக்கிற யூதா அனைவருக்குள்ளும் வழங்கும் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

23 அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலிலே மதிகெட்ட காரியத்தைச் செய்து தங்கள் அயலாருடைய பெண்ஜாதிகளோடே விபசாரம்பண்ணி, நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பியாத பொய்யான வார்த்தையை என் நாமத்தைச் சொல்லி உரைத்தார்கள்; நான் அதை அறிவேன்; அதற்கு நானே சாட்சி என்று கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று எழுதினான். Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.

24 பின்னும் கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீ நெகெலாமியனாகிய செமாயாவுக்கும் சொல்லியனுப்பவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,

25 நீ எருசலேமிலிருக்கிற எல்லா ஜனங்களுக்கும் மாசெயாவின் குமாரனாகிய செப்பனியா என்னும் ஆசாரியனுக்கும், மற்ற ஆசாரியர்களுக்கும் உன் நாமத்திலே நிருபத்தை எழுதியனுப்பினது என்னவென்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

26 இவனுக்கு அவன் எழுதியிருந்த நிருபமாவது: நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் விசாரிப்புக்காரராயிருக்கும்படிக்கும், பிரமைகொண்டு தன்னைத் தீர்க்கதரிசியாக்கிக்கொள்கிறவகினாகிய எந்த மனுஷனையும் நீர் காவலறையிலும் தொழுவிலும் போடும்படிக்கும், கர்த்தர் உம்மை ஆசாரியனாயிருந்த யோய்தாவின் ஸ்தானத்திலே ஆசாரியனாக வைத்தாரே. The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

27 இப்போதும் உங்களுக்குத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் கூறிவருகிற ஆனதோத் ஊரானாகிய எரேமியாவை நீர் கடிந்துகொள்ளாமற்போனதென்ன? Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?

28 இந்தச் சிறையிருப்பு நெடுங்காலமாக இருக்கும்; நீங்கள் வீடுகளைக்கட்டி, அவைகளில் குடியிருந்து, தோட்டங்களை நாட்டி, அவைகளின் கனிகளைச் சாப்பிடுங்கள் என்று பாபிலோனிலிருக்கிற எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பினானென்று எழுதியிருந்தான். For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

29 இந்த நிருபத்தைச் செப்பனியா என்கிற ஆசாரியன் எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசியின் காதுகள் கேட்க வாசித்தான். And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

30 ஆதலால் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எரேமியாவுக்கு உண்டாகி அவர்: Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

31 சிறையிருக்கிற அனைவருக்கும் நீ சொல்லியனுப்பவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: நெகெலாமியனாகிய செமாயாவைக்குறித்து கர்த்தர்: செமாயாவை நான் அனுப்பாதிருந்தும், அவன் உங்களுக்குத் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொல்லி, உங்களைப் பொய்யை நம்பப்பண்ணுகிறபடியினால், Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

32 இதோ, நான் நெகெலாமியனாகிய செமாயாவையும், அவன் சந்ததியையும் தண்டிப்பேன்; இந்த ஜனத்தின் நடுவிலே குடியிருப்பவன் ஒருவனும் அவனுக்கு இல்லாதிருப்பான்; நான் என் ஜனத்துக்குச் செய்யும் நன்மையை அவன் காண்பதில்லை என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகமுண்டாகப் பேசினான் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார். Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

1 Ekoniyaa raajaavum, raajasthireeyum, pirathaanikalum, yoothaavilum erusalaemilumulla pirapukkalum, thachcharum, kollarum erusalaemaivittup purappattuppona pirpaadu, Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

2 Eraemiyaa theerkkatharisi siraippattuppona moopparkalil meethiyaanavarkalukkum, aasaariyarkalukkum, theerkkatharisikalukkum, naepukaathnaechchaாr siraippaduththi erusalaemilirunthu paapilonukkuk konndupona sakala janangalukkum eluthi, (After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)

3 Yoothaavin raajaavaakiya sithaekkiyaa paapilon raajaavaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாridaththil kodukkumpati saappaanin kumaaranaakiya eleyaasaarin kaiyilum, ilkkiyaavin kumaaranaakiya kemariyaavin kaiyilum koduththu, erusalaemilirunthu paapilonukku anuppina nirupaththin viparam: By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,

4 Isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar, thaam erusalaemilirunthu paapilonukkuch siraippattuppokappannnnina anaivarukkum arivikkirathu ennavental, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;

5 Neengal veedukalaik katti, kutiyirunthu, thottangalai naatti, avaikalin kaniyaich saappidungal. Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;

6 Neengal pennkalai vivaakampannnni, kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaு, ungal kumaararukkup pennkalaikkonndu, ungal kumaaraththikalaip purusharukkuk kodungal; ivarkalum kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum perattum; neengal angae kuraுkaamal peruki, Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

7 Naan ungalaich siraippattuppokappannnnina pattanaththin samaathaanaththaith thaeti, atharkaakak karththarai vinnnappampannnungal; atharkuch samaathaanamirukkaiyil ungalukkum samaathaanamirukkum. And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

8 Maelum, ungal naduvilirukkira ungal theerkkatharisikalum ungal kurikaararum ungalai mosampokkavottathirungal; soppanam kaanappannnukira ungal soppanakkaararukkuch sevikodaamalum irungal entu isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar sollukiraar. For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

9 Avarkal en naamaththaich solli ungalukkup poyyaana theerkkatharisanam uraikkiraarkal; naan avarkalai anuppinathillai entu Karththar sollukiraar. For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

10 Paapilonilae elupathuvarusham niraivaerinapinpu naan ungalaich santhiththu, ungalai ivvidaththukkuth thirumpivarappannnumpatikku ungalmael en nalvaarththaiyai niraivaerappannnuvaen entu Karththar sollukiraar. For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

11 Neengal ethirpaarththirukkum mutivai ungalukku kodukkumpatikku naan ungalpaeril ninaiththirukkira ninaivukalai arivaen entu Karththar sollukiraar; avaikal theemaikkalla, samaathaanaththukkaethuvaana ninaivukalae. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12 Appoluthu neengal kootivanthu, ennaith tholuthukonndu ennai Nnokki vinnnappampannnuveerkal; naan ungalukkuch sevikoduppaen. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

13 Ungal mulu iruthayaththodum ennaith thaetineerkalaanaal, ennaith thaedukaiyil kanndupitippeerkal. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

14 Naan ungalukkuk kaanappaduvaen entu Karththar sollukiraar; naan ungal siraiyiruppaith thiruppi naan ungalaith thuraththivitta ellaa jaathikalilum ellaa idangalilumirunthu ungalaich serththu, naan ungalai vilakkiyiruntha sthalaththukkae ungalaith thirumpivarappannnuvaen entu Karththar sollukiraar. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

15 Karththar engalukkup paapilonilum theerkkatharisikalai eluppinaar entu sollukireerkal. Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;

16 Aanaal thaaveethin singaasanaththil utkaarnthirukkira raajaavaikkuriththum ungalotaekoodach siraiyiruppil purappattuppokaamal intha nakaraththil kutiyirukkira ungal sakothararaakiya ellaa janangalaikkuriththum, Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;

17 Itho, naan pattayaththaiyum, panjaththaiyum, kollaiNnoyaiyum avarkalukkul anuppuvaen entu Karththar sollukiraar; pusikkaththakaatha kettuppona aththippalangalukku avarkalai oppaakkuvaen entu senaikalin Karththar sollukiraar. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

18 Avarkal en vaarththaikalaik kaelaamarponapatiyaal, naan avarkalaip pattayaththaalum, panjaththaalum kollaiNnoyaalum pinthodarnthu, avarkalaip poomiyilulla ellaa raajyangalilum alainthu thirikiravarkalaakavum, naan avarkalaith thuraththukira ellaa jaathikalidaththilum saapamaakavum, paalaakavum eesaliduthalukkidamaakavum, ninthaiyaakavum vaippaen entu Karththar sollukiraar. 19 Naan ungalidaththirkuth theerkkatharisikalaakiya en ooliyakkaararai aerkanavae anuppikkonntaeyirunthum, neengal sevikodaamarponeerkalae entu Karththar sollukiraar. Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

20 Ippothum siraiyirukkumpati naan erusalaemilirunthu paapilonukku anuppivitta neengalellaarum karththarutaiya vaarththaiyaik kaelungal. Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:

21 En naamaththaich solli ungalukkup poyyaana theerkkatharisanam uraikkira kolaayaavin kumaaranaakiya aakaapaiyum, maaseyaavin kumaaranaakiya sithaekkiyaavaiyunguriththu: itho, naan avarkalaip paapilon raajaavaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாrin kaiyilae oppukkodukkiraேn, avan avarkalai ungal kannkalukku munpaakak kontupoduvaan. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

23 Avarkal isravaelilae mathiketta kaariyaththaich seythu thangal ayalaarutaiya pennjaathikalotae vipasaarampannnni, naan avarkalukkuk karpiyaatha poyyaana vaarththaiyai en naamaththaich solli uraiththaarkal; naan athai arivaen; atharku naanae saatchi entu Karththar uraikkiraar entu eluthinaan. Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.

24 Pinnum Karththar ennai Nnokki: nee nekelaamiyanaakiya semaayaavukkum solliyanuppavaenntiyathu ennavental: Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,

25 Nee erusalaemilirukkira ellaa janangalukkum maaseyaavin kumaaranaakiya seppaniyaa ennum aasaariyanukkum, matta aasaariyarkalukkum un naamaththilae nirupaththai eluthiyanuppinathu ennaventu isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar sollukiraar. Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

26 Ivanukku avan eluthiyiruntha nirupamaavathu: neengal karththarutaiya aalayaththin visaarippukkaararaayirukkumpatikkum, piramaikonndu thannaith theerkkatharisiyaakkikkolkiravakinaakiya entha manushanaiyum neer kaavalaraiyilum tholuvilum podumpatikkum, Karththar ummai aasaariyanaayiruntha yoythaavin sthaanaththilae aasaariyanaaka vaiththaarae. The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

27 Ippothum ungalukkuth theerkkatharisanam koorivarukira aanathoth ooraanaakiya eraemiyaavai neer katinthukollaamarponathenna? Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?

28 Inthach siraiyiruppu nedungaalamaaka irukkum; neengal veedukalaikkatti, avaikalil kutiyirunthu, thottangalai naatti, avaikalin kanikalaich saappidungal entu paapilonilirukkira engalukkuch solliyanuppinaanentu eluthiyirunthaan. For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

29 Intha nirupaththaich seppaniyaa enkira aasaariyan eraemiyaa theerkkatharisiyin kaathukal kaetka vaasiththaan. And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

30 Aathalaal karththarutaiya vaarththai eraemiyaavukku unndaaki avar: Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

31 Siraiyirukkira anaivarukkum nee solliyanuppavaenntiyathu ennavental: nekelaamiyanaakiya semaayaavaikkuriththu Karththar: semaayaavai naan anuppaathirunthum, avan ungalukkuth theerkkatharisananjaொlli, ungalaip poyyai nampappannnukirapatiyinaal, Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

32 Itho, naan nekelaamiyanaakiya semaayaavaiyum, avan santhathiyaiyum thanntippaen; intha janaththin naduvilae kutiyiruppavan oruvanum avanukku illaathiruppaan; naan en janaththukkuch seyyum nanmaiyai avan kaannpathillai entu Karththar sollukiraar; karththarukku virothamaayk kalakamunndaakap paesinaan entu Karththar sollukiraar entu sol entar. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.
