கர்த்தர் அவனவனுக்கு அவனவன் நீதிக்கும் உண்மைக்கும் தக்கதாகப்பலன் அளிப்பாராக; இன்று கர்த்தர் உம்மை என்கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்திருந்தும், கர்த்தர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவர்மேல், என் கையை நீட்ட மனதில்லாதிருந்தேன்.

கர்த்தர் அவனவனுக்கு அவனவன் நீதிக்கும் உண்மைக்கும் தகுந்த பலன் அளிப்பாராக; இன்று கர்த்தர் உம்மை என் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்திருந்தும், கர்த்தர் அபிஷேகம்செய்தவர்மேல், என்னுடைய கையை நீட்ட மனதில்லாதிருந்தேன்.

கர்த்தர் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதருக்கும், அவரவரின் செயலுக்குதக்க பலன் அளிக்கிறார். நீதியான காரியங்களை செய்பவர்களுக்கு நன்மை தருகிறார். தீமை செய்பவர்களுக்கு தண்டனையை தருகிறார். கர்த்தர் எனக்கு இன்று உங்களைத் தோற்கடிக்க வாய்பளித்தார். ஆனால் நான் கர்த்தரால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட அரசனுக்கு கேடு செய்யவில்லை.

וְאֶת ʾēt ate
and his faithfulness: אֱמֻֽנָת֑וֹ ʾĕmûnâ ay-moo-NA
for אֲשֶׁר֩ ʾăšer uh-SHER
delivered נְתָֽנְךָ֙ nātan na-TAHN
the Lord יְהוָ֤ה׀ yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
to day, הַיּוֹם֙ yôm yome
thee into hand בְּיָ֔ד yād yahd
not וְלֹ֣א lōʾ loh
but I would אָבִ֔יתִי ʾābâ ah-VA
