தாவீது சவுலின் தலைமாட்டில் இருந்த ஈட்டியையும், தண்ணீர்ச் செம்பையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டபின்பு, புறப்பட்டுபோனார்கள்; அதை ஒருவரும் காணவில்லை, அறியவுமில்லை, ஒருவரும் விழித்துக்கொள்ளவுமில்லை; கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்கு அயர்ந்த நித்திரை வருவித்ததினால், அவர்களெல்லாரும் தூங்கினார்கள்.
