1 வாரத்தின் முதலாம்நாள் அதிகாலையிலே தாங்கள் ஆயத்தம்பண்ணின அந்த கந்தவர்க்கங்களை அவர்கள் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு வேறு சில ஸ்திரீகளோடுங்கூடக் கல்லறையினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள். Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

2 கல்லறையை அடைத்திருந்த கல் புரட்டித் தள்ளப்பட்டிருக்கிறதைக் கண்டு, And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

3 உள்ளே பிரவேசித்து, கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவின் சரீரத்தைக் காணாமல், And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

4 அதைக் குறித்து மிகுந்த கலக்கமடைந்திருக்கையில், பிரகாசமுள்ள வஸ்திரந்தரித்த இரண்டுபேர் அவர்கள் அருகே, நின்றார்கள். And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

5 அந்த ஸ்திரீகள் பயப்பட்டுத் தலைகவிழ்ந்து தரையை நோக்கி நிற்கையில், அந்த இரண்டுபேரும் அவர்களை நோக்கி: உயிரோடிருக்கிறவரை நீங்கள் மரித்தோரிடத்தில் தேடுகிறதென்ன? And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6 அவர் இங்கே இல்லை, அவர் உயிர்த்தெழுந்தார். He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

7 மனுஷகுமாரன் பாவிகளான மனுஷர் கைகளில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படவும், சிலுவையில் அறையப்படவும், மூன்றாம்நாளில் எழுந்திருக்கவும் வேண்டுமென்பதாக அவர் கலிலேயாவிலிருந்த காலத்தில் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னதை நினைவுகூருங்கள் என்றார்கள். Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

8 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை நினைவுகூர்ந்து, And they remembered his words,

9 கல்லறையை விட்டுத் திரும்பிப் போய், இந்தச் சங்கதிகளெல்லாவற்றையும் பதினொருவருக்கும் மற்றெல்லாருக்கும் அறிவித்தார்கள். And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

10 இவைகளை அப்போஸ்தலருக்குச் சொன்னவர்கள் மகதலேனா மரியாளும், யோவன்னாளும், யாக்கோபின் தாயாகிய மரியாளும் இவர்களுடனேகூட இருந்த மற்ற ஸ்திரீகளுமே. It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

11 இவர்களுடைய வார்த்தைகள் அவர்களுக்கு வீண்பேச்சாகத் தோன்றினதினால், அவர்கள் இவர்களை நம்பவில்லை. And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

12 பேதுருவோ எழுந்திருந்து கல்லறையினிடத்திற்கு ஓடி, அதற்குள்ளே குனிந்துபார்க்கையில், சீலைகளைத் தனிப்பட வைத்திருக்கக்கண்டு, சம்பவித்ததைக் குறித்துத் தன்னில் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டுக்கொண்டுபோனான். Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

13 அன்றையத்தினமே அவர்களில் இரண்டுபேர் எருசலேமுக்கு ஏழு அல்லது எட்டு மைல் தூரமான எம்மாவு என்னும் கிராமத்துக்குப் போனார்கள். And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

14 போகையில் இந்த வர்த்தமானங்கள் யாவையுங்குறித்து அவர்கள் ஒருவரோடொருவர் பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள். And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

15 இப்படி அவர்கள் பேசி, சம்பாஷித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், இயேசு தாமே சேர்ந்து அவர்களுடனேகூட நடந்துபோனார். And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

16 ஆனாலும் அவரை அறியாதபடிக்கு அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் மறைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

17 அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் துக்கமுகமுள்ளவர்களாய் வழிநடந்து, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொள்ளுகிற காரியங்கள் என்னவென்று கேட்டார். And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

18 அவர்களில் ஒருவனாகிய கிலெயோப்பா என்பவன் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: இந்நாட்களில் எருசலேமிலே நடந்தவைகளை அறியாதபடிக்கு நீர் அந்நியராயிருக்கிறீரோ என்றான். And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

19 அவர்: எவைகள் என்றார். அதற்கு அவர்கள். நசரேயனாகிய இயேசுவைக் குறித்தவைகளே; அவர் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகவும் ஜனங்களெல்லாருக்கு முன்பாகவும் செய்கையிலும் வாக்கிலும் வல்லமையுள்ள தீர்க்கதரிசியாயிருந்தார். And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20 நம்முடைய பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் அதிகாரிகளும் அவரை மரண ஆக்கினைக்குட்படுத்தி, சிலுவையில் அறைந்தார்கள். And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

21 அவரே இஸ்ரவேலை மீட்டிரட்சிப்பவர் என்று நாங்கள் நம்பியிருந்தோம் இவைகள் சம்பவித்து இன்று மூன்று நாளாகிறது. But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

22 ஆனாலும் எங்கள் கூட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த சில ஸ்திரீகள் அதிகாலமே கல்லறையினிடத்திற்குப்போய், Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

23 அவருடைய சரீரத்தைக் காணாமல், திரும்பிவந்து, அவர் உயிரோடிருக்கிறாரென்று சொன்ன தேவதூரைத் தரிசித்தோம் என்று சொல்லி, எங்களைப் பிரமிக்கப்பண்ணினார்கள். And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24 அப்பொழுது எங்களிலே சிலர் கல்லறையினிடத்திற்குப் போய், ஸ்திரீகள் சொன்னபடியே கண்டார்கள்; அவரையோ காணவில்லை என்றார்கள், And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

25 அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் சொன்ன யாவையும் விசுவாசிக்கிறதற்குப் புத்தியில்லாத மந்த இருதயமுள்ளவர்களே, Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26 கிறிஸ்து இவ்விதமாகப் பாடுபடவும், தமது மகிமையில் பிரவேசிக்கவும் வேண்டியதில்லையா என்று சொல்லி, Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27 மோசே முதலிய சகல தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் எழுதின வேதவாக்கியங்களெல்லாவற்றிலும் தம்மைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லியவைகளை அவர்களுக்கு விவரித்துக் காண்பித்தார். And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

28 அத்தருணத்தில் தாங்கள் போகிற கிராமத்துக்குச் சமீபமானார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர் அப்புறம் போகிறவர் போலக் காண்பித்தார். And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

29 அவர்கள் அவரை நோக்கி: நீர் எங்களுடனே தங்கியிரும், சாயங்காலமாயிற்று, பொழுதும் போயிற்று என்று அவரை வருந்திக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களுடனே தங்கும்படி உள்ளே போனார். But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

30 அவர்களோடே அவர் பந்தியிருக்கையில், அவர் அப்பத்தை எடுத்து, ஆசீர்வதித்து, அதைப்பிட்டு, அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார். And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

31 அப்பொழுது அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டு, அவரை அறிந்தார்கள். உடனே அவர் அவர்களுக்கு மறைந்துபோனார். And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

32 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் நோக்கி: வழியிலே அவர் நம்முடனே பேசி, வேதவாக்கியங்களை நமக்கு விளங்கக்காட்டினபொழுது, நம்முடைய இருதயம் நமக்குள்ளே கொழுந்துவிட்டு எரியவில்லையா என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டு, And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

33 அந்நேரமே எழுந்திருந்து, எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போய், பதினொருவரும் அவர்களோடிருந்தவர்களும் கூடியிருக்கக்கண்டு: And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

34 கர்த்தர் மெய்யாகவே உயிர்த்தெழுந்து சீமோனுக்குத் தரிசனமானாரென்று அவர்கள் சொல்லக் கேட்டு, Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

35 வழியில் நடந்தவைகளையும், அவர் அப்பத்தைப் பிட்கையில் தாங்கள் அவரை அறிந்துகொண்டதையும் விவரித்துச் சொன்னார்கள். And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

36 இவைகளைக்குறித்து அவர்கள் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், இயேசு தாமே அவர்கள் நடுவிலே நின்று: உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் என்றார். And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

37 அவர்கள் கலங்கி, பயந்து, ஒரு ஆவியைக் காண்கிறதாக நினைத்தார்கள். But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

38 அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் ஏன் கலங்குகிறீர்கள்; உங்கள் இருதயங்களில் சந்தேகங்கள் எழும்புகிறதென்ன? And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39 நான்தான் என்று அறியும்படி என் கைகளையும் என் கால்களையும் பாருங்கள், என்னைத் தொட்டுப்பாருங்கள்; நீங்கள் காண்கிறபடி, எனக்கு மாம்சமும் எலும்புகளும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறதுபோல ஒரு ஆவிக்கு இராதே என்று சொல்லி, Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40 தம்முடைய கைகளையும் கால்களையும் அவர்களுக்குக் காண்பித்தார். And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

41 ஆனாலும் சந்தோஷத்தினால் அவர்கள் இன்னும் விசுவாசியாமல் ஆச்சரியப்படுகையில்: புசிக்கிறதற்கு ஏதாகிலும் இங்கே உண்டா என்று அவர்களிடத்தில் கேட்டார். And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42 அப்பொழுது பொரித்த மீன்கண்டத்தையும் தேன்கூட்டுத் துணிக்கையையும் அவருக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள். And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43 அவைகளை அவர் வாங்கி அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் புசித்து, And he took it, and did eat before them.

44 அவர்களை நோக்கி: மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் ஆகமங்களிலும் சங்கீதங்களிலும் என்னைக் குறித்து எழுதியிருக்கிறவைகளெல்லாம் நிறைவேறவேண்டியதென்று, நான் உங்களோடிருந்தபோது உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டுவந்த விசேஷங்கள் இவைகளே என்றார். And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45 அப்பொழுது வேதவாக்கியங்களை அறிந்துகொள்ளும்படி அவர்களுடைய மனதை அவர் திறந்து அவர்களை நோக்கி: Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46 எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, கிறிஸ்து பாடுபடவும், மூன்றாம்நாளில் மரித்தோரிலிருந்தெழுந்திருக்கவும் வேண்டியதாயிருந்தது; And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 அன்றியும் மனந்திரும்புதலும் பாவமன்னிப்பும் எருசலேம் தொடங்கிச் சகலதேசத்தாருக்கும் அவருடைய நாமத்தினாலே பிரசங்கிக்கப்படவும் வேண்டியது. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48 நீங்கள் இவைகளுக்குச் சாட்சிகளாயிருக்கிறீர்கள். And ye are witnesses of these things.

49 என் பிதா வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணினதை, இதோ, நான் உங்களுக்கு அனுப்புகிறேன். நீங்களோ உன்னத்ததிலிருந்து வரும் பெலனால் தரிப்பிக்கப்படும் வரைக்கும் எருசலேம் நகரத்தில் இருங்கள் என்றார். And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

51 அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கையில், அவர்களை விட்டுப் பிரிந்து, பரலோகத்துக்கு எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டார். And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

52 அவர்கள் அவரைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, மிகுந்த சந்தோஷத்தோடே எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பி வந்து. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

53 நாடோறும் தேவாலயத்திலே தேவனைப் புகழ்ந்து துதித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். ஆமென். And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

1 Vaaraththin muthalaamnaal athikaalaiyilae thaangal aayaththampannnnina antha kanthavarkkangalai avarkal eduththukkonndu vaeraு sila sthireekalodungaூdak kallaraiyinidaththil vanthaarkal. 2 Kallaraiyai ataiththiruntha kal purattith thallappattirukkirathaik kanndu, And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

3 Ullae piravaesiththu, karththaraakiya Yesuvin sareeraththaik kaannaamal, And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

4 Athaik kuriththu mikuntha kalakkamatainthirukkaiyil, pirakaasamulla vasthiranthariththa iranndupaer avarkal arukae, nintarkal. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

5 Antha sthireekal payappattuth thalaikavilnthu tharaiyai Nnokki nirkaiyil, antha iranndupaerum avarkalai Nnokki: uyirotirukkiravarai neengal mariththoridaththil thaedukirathenna? And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6 Avar ingae illai, avar uyirththelunthaar. He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

7 Manushakumaaran paavikalaana manushar kaikalil oppukkodukkappadavum, siluvaiyil araiyappadavum, moontamnaalil elunthirukkavum vaenndumenpathaaka avar kalilaeyaaviliruntha kaalaththil ungalukkuch sonnathai ninaivukoorungal entarkal. Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

8 Appoluthu avarkal avarutaiya vaarththaikalai ninaivukoornthu, And they remembered his words,

9 Kallaraiyai vittuth thirumpip poy, inthach sangathikalellaavattaைyum pathinoruvarukkum mattellaarukkum ariviththaarkal. And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

10 Ivaikalai apposthalarukkuch sonnavarkal makathalaenaa mariyaalum, yovannaalum, yaakkopin thaayaakiya mariyaalum ivarkaludanaekooda iruntha matta sthireekalumae. It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

11 Ivarkalutaiya vaarththaikal avarkalukku veennpaechchaாkath thontinathinaal, avarkal ivarkalai nampavillai. And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

12 Paethuruvo elunthirunthu kallaraiyinidaththirku oti, atharkullae kuninthupaarkkaiyil, seelaikalaith thanippada vaiththirukkakkanndu, sampaviththathaik kuriththuth thannil aachchariyappattukkonnduponaan. Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

13 Antaiyaththinamae avarkalil iranndupaer erusalaemukku aelu allathu ettu mail thooramaana emmaavu ennum kiraamaththukkup ponaarkal. And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

14 Pokaiyil intha varththamaanangal yaavaiyunguriththu avarkal oruvarotoruvar paesikkonndaarkal. And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

15 Ippati avarkal paesi, sampaashiththukkonntirukkaiyil, Yesu thaamae sernthu avarkaludanaekooda nadanthuponaar. And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

16 Aanaalum avarai ariyaathapatikku avarkalutaiya kannkal maraikkappattirunthathu. But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

17 Appoluthu avar avarkalai Nnokki: neengal thukkamukamullavarkalaay valinadanthu, oruvarukkoruvar sollikkollukira kaariyangal ennaventu kaettar. And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

18 Avarkalil oruvanaakiya kileyoppaa enpavan pirathiyuththaramaaka: innaatkalil erusalaemilae nadanthavaikalai ariyaathapatikku neer anniyaraayirukkireero entan. And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

19 Avar: evaikal entar. Atharku avarkal. Nasaraeyanaakiya Yesuvaik kuriththavaikalae; avar thaevanukku munpaakavum janangalellaarukku munpaakavum seykaiyilum vaakkilum vallamaiyulla theerkkatharisiyaayirunthaar. And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20 Nammutaiya pirathaana aasaariyarum athikaarikalum avarai marana aakkinaikkutpaduththi, siluvaiyil arainthaarkal. And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

21 Avarae isravaelai meettiratchippavar entu naangal nampiyirunthom ivaikal sampaviththu intu moontu naalaakirathu. But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

22 Aanaalum engal koottaththaich serntha sila sthireekal athikaalamae kallaraiyinidaththirkuppoy, Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

23 Avarutaiya sareeraththaik kaannaamal, thirumpivanthu, avar uyirotirukkiraarentu sonna thaevathooraith tharisiththom entu solli, engalaip piramikkappannnninaarkal. And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24 Appoluthu engalilae silar kallaraiyinidaththirkup poy, sthireekal sonnapatiyae kanndaarkal; avaraiyo kaanavillai entarkal, And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

25 Appoluthu avar avarkalai Nnokki: theerkkatharisikal sonna yaavaiyum visuvaasikkiratharkup puththiyillaatha mantha iruthayamullavarkalae, Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26 Kristhu ivvithamaakap paadupadavum, thamathu makimaiyil piravaesikkavum vaenntiyathillaiyaa entu solli, Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27 Moses muthaliya sakala theerkkatharisikalum eluthina vaethavaakkiyangalellaavattilum thammaikkuriththuch solliyavaikalai avarkalukku vivariththuk kaannpiththaar. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

28 Aththarunaththil thaangal pokira kiraamaththukkuch sameepamaanaarkal. Appoluthu avar appuram pokiravar polak kaannpiththaar. And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

29 Avarkal avarai Nnokki: neer engaludanae thangiyirum, saayangaalamaayittaு, poluthum poyittaு entu avarai varunthik kaettukkonndaarkal. Appoluthu avar avarkaludanae thangumpati ullae ponaar. But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

30 Avarkalotae avar panthiyirukkaiyil, avar appaththai eduththu, aaseervathiththu, athaippittu, avarkalukkuk koduththaar. And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

31 Appoluthu avarkalutaiya kannkal thirakkappattu, avarai arinthaarkal. Udanae avar avarkalukku marainthuponaar. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

32 Appoluthu avarkal oruvaraiyoruvar Nnokki: valiyilae avar nammudanae paesi, vaethavaakkiyangalai namakku vilangakkaattinapoluthu, nammutaiya iruthayam namakkullae kolunthuvittu eriyavillaiyaa entu sollikkonndu, And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

33 Annaeramae elunthirunthu, erusalaemukkuth thirumpippoy, pathinoruvarum avarkalotirunthavarkalum kootiyirukkakkanndu: And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

34 Karththar meyyaakavae uyirththelunthu seemonukkuth tharisanamaanaarentu avarkal sollak kaettu, Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

36 Ivaikalaikkuriththu avarkal paesikkonntirukkaiyil, Yesu thaamae avarkal naduvilae nintu: ungalukkuch samaathaanam entar. And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

37 Avarkal kalangi, payanthu, oru aaviyaik kaannkirathaaka ninaiththaarkal. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

38 Avar avarkalai Nnokki: neengal aen kalangukireerkal; ungal iruthayangalil santhaekangal elumpukirathenna? And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39 Naanthaan entu ariyumpati en kaikalaiyum en kaalkalaiyum paarungal, ennaith thottuppaarungal; neengal kaannkirapati, enakku maamsamum elumpukalum unndaayirukkirathupola oru aavikku iraathae entu solli, Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40 Thammutaiya kaikalaiyum kaalkalaiyum avarkalukkuk kaannpiththaar. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

41 Aanaalum santhoshaththinaal avarkal innum visuvaasiyaamal aachchariyappadukaiyil: pusikkiratharku aethaakilum ingae unndaa entu avarkalidaththil kaettar. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42 Appoluthu poriththa meenkanndaththaiyum thaenkoottuth thunnikkaiyaiyum avarukkuk koduththaarkal. And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43 Avaikalai avar vaangi avarkalukku munpaakap pusiththu, And he took it, and did eat before them.

44 Avarkalai Nnokki: Mosesyin niyaayappiramaanaththilum theerkkatharisikalin aakamangalilum sangaீthangalilum ennaik kuriththu eluthiyirukkiravaikalellaam niraivaeravaenntiyathentu, naan ungalotirunthapothu ungalukkuch sollikkonnduvantha viseshangal ivaikalae entar. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45 Appoluthu vaethavaakkiyangalai arinthukollumpati avarkalutaiya manathai avar thiranthu avarkalai Nnokki: Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46 Eluthiyirukkirapati, Kristhu paadupadavum, moontamnaalil mariththorilirunthelunthirukkavum vaenntiyathaayirunthathu; And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 Antiyum mananthirumputhalum paavamannippum Jerusalem thodangich sakalathaesaththaarukkum avarutaiya naamaththinaalae pirasangikkappadavum vaenntiyathu. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48 Neengal ivaikalukkuch saatchikalaayirukkireerkal. And ye are witnesses of these things.

49 En pithaa vaakkuththaththampannnninathai, itho, naan ungalukku anuppukiraேn. Neengalo unnaththathilirunthu varum pelanaal tharippikkappadum varaikkum Jerusalem nakaraththil irungal entar. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

50 Pinpu avar peththaaniyaavaraikkum avarkalai alaiththukkonndupoy, thammutaiya kaikalai uyarththi, avarkalai aaseervathiththaar. And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

51 Avarkalai aaseervathikkaiyil, avarkalai vittup pirinthu, paralokaththukku eduththukkollappattar. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

52 Avarkal avaraip panninthukonndu, mikuntha santhoshaththotae erusalaemukkuth thirumpi vanthu. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

53 Naatooraுm thaevaalayaththilae thaevanaip pukalnthu thuthiththukkonntirunthaarkal. Amen. And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
