Matthew 16 in Tamil

1 பரிசேயரும் சதுசேயரும் அவரைச் சோதிக்கும்படி அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: வானத்திலிருந்து ஓர் அடையாளத்தைத் தங்களுக்குக் காண்பிக்கவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டார்கள். The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

2 அவர்களுக்கு அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: அஸ்தமனமாகிறபோது, செவ்வானமிட்டிருக்கிறது, அதினால் வெளிவாங்கும் என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள். He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

3 உதயமாகிறபோது செவ்வானமும் மந்தாரமுமாயிருக்கிறது, அதினால் இன்றைக்குக் காற்றும் மழையும் உண்டாகும் என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள். மாயக்காரரே, வானத்தின் தோற்றத்தை நிதானிக்க உங்களுக்குத் தெரியுமே, காலங்களின் அடையாளங்களை நிதானிக்க உங்களால் கூடாதா? And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

4 இந்தப் பொல்லாத விபசார சந்ததியார் அடையாளம் தேடுகிறார்கள்; யோனா தீர்க்கதரிசியின் அடையாளமேயன்றி வேறே அடையாளம் இவர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படுவதில்லை என்று சொல்லி, அவர்களைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போனார். A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

5 அவருடைய சீஷர்கள் அக்கரை சேர்ந்தபோது அப்பங்களைக் கொண்டுவர மறந்துபோனார்கள். And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

6 இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: பரிசேயர் சதுசேயர் என்பவர்களின் புளித்தமாவைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள் என்றார். Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

7 நாம் அப்பங்களைக் கொண்டுவராதபடியால் இப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள்ளே யோசனைபண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள். And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

8 இயேசு அதை அறிந்து: அற்பவிசுவாசிகளே, அப்பங்களைக் கொண்டுவராதைக்குறித்து நீங்கள் உங்களுக்குள்ளே யோசனைபண்ணுகிறதென்ன? Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

9 இன்னும் நீங்கள் உணரவில்லையா? ஐந்து அப்பங்களை ஐயாயிரம் பேருக்குப் பகிர்ந்ததையும், மீதியானதை எத்தனை கூடை நிறைய எடுத்தீர்கள் என்பதையும்; Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

10 ஏழு அப்பங்களை நாலாயிரம் பேருக்குப் பகிர்ந்ததையும், மீதியானதை எத்தனை கூடை நிறைய எடுத்தீர்கள் என்பதையும் நீங்கள் நினைவுகூராமலிருக்கிறீர்களா? Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

11 பரிசேயர் சதுசேயர் என்பவர்களின் புளித்தமாவைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருக்கவேண்டும் என்று நான் சொன்னது அப்பத்தைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லவில்லை என்று நீங்கள் உணராதிருக்கிறது எப்படி என்றார். How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

12 அப்பொழுது, அவர் அப்பத்தின் புளித்தமாவைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருக்கவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லாமல், பரிசேயர் சதுசேயர் என்பவர்களின் உபதேசத்தைக்குறித்தே அப்படிச்சொன்னார் என்று அறிந்துகொண்டார்கள். Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

13 பின்பு, இயேசு பிலிப்புச் செசரியாவின் திசைகளில் வந்தபோது, தம்முடைய சீஷரை நோக்கி: மனுஷகுமாரனாகிய என்னை ஜனங்கள் யார் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள் என்று கேட்டார். When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: சிலர் உம்மை யோவான் ஸ்நானன் என்றும், சிலர் எலியா என்றும், வேறு சிலர் எரேமியா, அல்லது தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவர் என்றும் சொல்லுகிறார்கள் என்றார்கள். And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 அப்பொழுது அவர்: நீங்கள் என்னை யாரென்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார். He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 சீமோன் பேதுரு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நீர் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்து என்றான். And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: யோனாவின் குமாரனகிய சீமோனே, நீ பாக்கியவான்; மாம்சமும் இரத்தமும் இதை உனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தவில்லை, பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற என் பிதா இதை உனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினார். And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 மேலும் நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நீ பேதுருவாயிருக்கிறாய், இந்தக்கல்லின் மேல் என் சபையைக்கட்டுவேன்; பாதாளத்தின் வாசல்கள் அதை மேற்கொள்வதில்லை. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 பரலோகத்தின் திறவுகோல்களை நான் உனக்குத் தருவேன்; பூலோகத்தில் நீ கட்டுகிறது எதுவோ அது பரலோகத்திலும் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கும், பூலோகத்திலே நீ கட்டவிழ்ப்பது எதுவோ அது பரலோகத்திலும் கட்டவிழ்க்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் என்றார். And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

20 அப்பொழுது, தாம் கிறிஸ்துவாகிய இயேசு என்று ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லாதபடிக்கு தம்முடைய சீஷர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார். Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

21 அதுமுதல் இயேசு, தாம் எருசலேமுக்குப்போய், மூப்பராலும் பிரதான ஆசாரியராலும் பல பாடுகள் பட்டு, கொலையுண்டு, மூன்றாம் நாளில் எழுந்திருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதைத் தம்முடைய சீஷர்களுக்குச் சொல்லத்தொடங்கினார். From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

22 அப்பொδுது, பேதுரு அவரைத் தனிϠχ அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய்: ஆண்டவரே, இது உமக்கு நேரிடக்கூடாதே, இது உமக்குச் சம்பவிப்பதில்லை என்று அவரைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளத் தொடங்கினான். Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

23 அவரோ திரும்பிப் பேதுருவைப்பார்த்து: எனக்குப் பின்னாகப்போ, சாத்தானே, நீ எனக்கு இடறலாயிருக்கிறாய்; தேவனுக்கேற்றவைகளைச் சிந்தியாமல் மனுஷருக்கு ஏற்றவைகளைச் சிந்திக்கிறாய் என்றார். But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

24 அப்பொழுது, இயேசு தம்முடைய சீஷர்களை நோக்கி: ஒருவன் என்னைப் பின்பற்றி வர விரும்பினால், அவன் தன்னைத்தான் வெறுத்து, தன் சிலுவையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு என்னைப் பின்பற்றக்கடவன் Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 தன் ஜீவனை ரட்சிக்க விரும்புகிறவன் அதை இழந்துபோவான்; என்னிமித்தமாகத் தன் ஜீவனை இழந்து போகிறவன் அதைக் கண்டடைவான். For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

26 மனுஷன் உலகம் முழுவதையும் ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும், தன் ஜீவனை நஷ்டப்படுத்தினால் அவனுக்கு லாபம் என்ன? மனுஷன் தன் ஜீவனுக்கு ஈடாக என்னத்தைக் கொடுப்பான்? For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 மனுஷகுமாரன் தம்முடைய பிதாவின் மகிமைபொருந்தினவராய்த் தம்முடைய தூதரோடுங்கூட வருவார்; அப்பொழுது, அவனவன் கிரியைக்குத்தக்கதாக அவனவனுக்குப் பலனளிப்பார். For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

28 இங்கே நிற்கிறவர்களில் சிலர் மனுஷகுமாரன் தம்முடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் வருவதைக் காணுமுன், மரணத்தை ருசிபார்ப்பதில்லை என்று, மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார். Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

1 Pariseyarum sathuseyarum avaraich sothikkumpati avaridaththil vanthu: vaanaththilirunthu or ataiyaalaththaith thangalukkuk kaannpikkavaenndum entu kaettarkal. The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

2 Avarkalukku avar pirathiyuththaramaaka: asthamanamaakirapothu, sevvaanamittirukkirathu, athinaal velivaangum entu sollukireerkal. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

3 Uthayamaakirapothu sevvaanamum manthaaramumaayirukkirathu, athinaal intaikkuk kaattaுm malaiyum unndaakum entu sollukireerkal. Maayakkaararae, vaanaththin thottaththai nithaanikka ungalukkuth theriyumae, kaalangalin ataiyaalangalai nithaanikka ungalaal koodaathaa? And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

4 Inthap pollaatha vipasaara santhathiyaar ataiyaalam thaedukiraarkal; yonaa theerkkatharisiyin ataiyaalamaeyanti vaeraே ataiyaalam ivarkalukkuk kodukkappaduvathillai entu solli, avarkalaivittup purappattupponaar. 5 Avarutaiya seesharkal akkarai sernthapothu appangalaik konnduvara maranthuponaarkal. And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

6 Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: pariseyar sathuseyar enpavarkalin puliththamaavaikkuriththu echcharikkaiyaayirungal entar. Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

7 Naam appangalaik konnduvaraathapatiyaal ippatich sollukiraar entu avarkal thangalukkullae yosanaipannnnikkonndaarkal. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

8 Yesu athai arinthu: arpavisuvaasikalae, appangalaik konnduvaraathaikkuriththu neengal ungalukkullae yosanaipannnukirathenna? Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

9 Innum neengal unaravillaiyaa? Ainthu appangalai aiyaayiram paerukkup pakirnthathaiyum, meethiyaanathai eththanai kootai niraiya eduththeerkal enpathaiyum; Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

10 Aelu appangalai naalaayiram paerukkup pakirnthathaiyum, meethiyaanathai eththanai kootai niraiya eduththeerkal enpathaiyum neengal ninaivukooraamalirukkireerkalaa? Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

11 Pariseyar sathuseyar enpavarkalin puliththamaavaikkuriththu echcharikkaiyaayirukkavaenndum entu naan sonnathu appaththaikkuriththuch sollavillai entu neengal unaraathirukkirathu eppati entar. How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

12 Appoluthu, avar appaththin puliththamaavaikkuriththu echcharikkaiyaayirukkavaenndum entu sollaamal, pariseyar sathuseyar enpavarkalin upathaesaththaikkuriththae appatichchaொnnaar entu arinthukonndaarkal. Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

13 Pinpu, Yesu pilippuch sesariyaavin thisaikalil vanthapothu, thammutaiya seesharai Nnokki: manushakumaaranaakiya ennai janangal yaar entu sollukiraarkal entu kaettar. When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 Atharku avarkal: silar ummai yovaan snaanan entum, silar eliyaa entum, vaeraு silar eraemiyaa, allathu theerkkatharisikalil oruvar entum sollukiraarkal entarkal. And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 Appoluthu avar: neengal ennai yaarentu sollukireerkal entu kaettar. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 Seemon paethuru pirathiyuththaramaaka: neer jeevanulla thaevanutaiya kumaaranaakiya Kristhu entan. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 Yesu avanai Nnokki: yonaavin kumaaranakiya seemonae, nee paakkiyavaan; maamsamum iraththamum ithai unakku velippaduththavillai, paralokaththilirukkira en pithaa ithai unakku velippaduththinaar. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 Maelum naan unakkuch sollukiraேn, nee paethuruvaayirukkiraay, inthakkallin mael en Sabaiyaikkattuvaen; paathaalaththin vaasalkal athai maerkolvathillai. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 Paralokaththin thiravukolkalai naan unakkuth tharuvaen; poolokaththil nee kattukirathu ethuvo athu paralokaththilum kattappattirukkum, poolokaththilae nee kattavilppathu ethuvo athu paralokaththilum kattavilkkappattirukkum entar. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

20 Appoluthu, thaam Kristhuvaakiya Yesu entu oruvarukkum sollaathapatikku thammutaiya seesharkalukkuk kattalaiyittar. Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

21 Athumuthal Yesu, thaam erusalaemukkuppoy, moopparaalum pirathaana aasaariyaraalum pala paadukal pattu, kolaiyunndu, moontam naalil elunthirukkavaenndum enpathaith thammutaiya seesharkalukkuch sollaththodanginaar. From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

22 Appoδுthu, paethuru avaraith thaniϠχ alaiththukkonndupoy: aanndavarae, ithu umakku naeridakkoodaathae, ithu umakkuch sampavippathillai entu avaraik katinthukollath thodanginaan. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

23 Avaro thirumpip paethuruvaippaarththu: enakkup pinnaakappo, saaththaanae, nee enakku idaralaayirukkiraay; thaevanukkaettavaikalaich sinthiyaamal manusharukku aettavaikalaich sinthikkiraay entar. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

24 Appoluthu, Yesu thammutaiya seesharkalai Nnokki: oruvan ennaip pinpatti vara virumpinaal, avan thannaiththaan veraுththu, than siluvaiyai eduththukkonndu ennaip pinpattakkadavan Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 Than jeevanai ratchikka virumpukiravan athai ilanthupovaan; ennimiththamaakath than jeevanai ilanthu pokiravan athaik kanndataivaan. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

26 Manushan ulakam muluvathaiyum aathaayappaduththikkonndaalum, than jeevanai nashdappaduththinaal avanukku laapam enna? Manushan than jeevanukku eedaaka ennaththaik koduppaan? For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 Manushakumaaran thammutaiya pithaavin makimaiporunthinavaraayth thammutaiya thootharodungaூda varuvaar; appoluthu, avanavan kiriyaikkuththakkathaaka avanavanukkup palanalippaar. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

28 Ingae nirkiravarkalil silar manushakumaaran thammutaiya raajyaththil varuvathaik kaanumun, maranaththai rusipaarppathillai entu, meyyaakavae ungalukkuch sollukiraேn entar. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
