அதற்கு அவர்: தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தின் இரகசியங்களை அறியும்படி உங்களுக்கு அருளப்பட்டது; மற்றவர்களுக்கோ, அவர்கள் கண்டும் காணாதவர்களாகவும், கேட்டும் உணராதவர்களாகவும் இருக்கத்தக்கதாக, அவைகள் உவமைகளாகச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது.

இயேசு, “தேவனுடைய இராஜ்யத்தைப்பற்றிய இரகசியங்களை அறிந்துகொள்ள நீங்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளீர்கள். ஆனால், நான் பிற மக்களோடு பேசுவதற்கு உவமைகளைப் பயன்படுத்துகிறேன். நான் இவ்வாறு செய்வது ஏனென்றால்: “‘அவர்கள் பார்ப்பார்கள், ஆனால் எதையும் காணமாட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் கவனிப்பார்கள்: ஆனால் எதையும் புரிந்துகொள்ளமாட்டார்கள்’” என்றார்.
