ஏசாவையோ நான் வெறுத்தேன்; அவனுடைய மலைகளைப் பாழும் அவனுடைய சுதந்தரத்தை வனாந்தரத்திலுள்ள வலுசர்ப்பங்களின் தாவும் ஆக்கினேன்.

யாக்கோபைத் தம்மிடத்தில் திருப்பும்படி நான் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்ததுமுதல் கர்த்தர் தமக்கு ஊழியக்காரனாக என்னை உருவாக்கினார்; இஸ்ரவேலோ சேராதேபோகிறது; ஆகிலும் கர்த்தருடைய பார்வையில் கனமடைவேன், என் தேவன் என் பெலனாயிருப்பார்.
