இதற்காகக் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: அது நுரை ஒட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறதும் நுரை நீங்காததுமாகிய கொப்பரை என்னப்பட்ட இரத்தஞ்சிந்திய நகரத்துக்கு ஐயோ! அதில் இருக்கிறதைக் கண்டங்கண்டமாக எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோ; அதின்பேரில் சீட்டுப்போடலாகாது.

“‘எனவே எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்: இது எருசலேமிற்குக் கேடாகும். கொலைக்காரர்களின் நகரத்திற்கு இது கேடாகும். எருசலேம் துரு ஏறிய ஒரு பாத்திரத்தைப் போன்றது. அத்துரு நீக்க முடியாதது! அப்பாத்திரம் சுத்தமானதாக இல்லை, எனவே நீ அப்பாத்திரத்திலுள்ள எல்லாக் கறித் துண்டுகளையும் வெளியே எடுத்துப் போடவேண்டும்! அக்கெட்டுப்போன இறைச்சியில் ஆசாரியர்கள் எதையும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்க, தின்ன அனுமதிக்கவேண்டாம்.
