அதின் பிரபுக்களையும் அதின் ஞானிகளையும் அதின் தலைவரையும் அதின் அதிகாரிகளையும் அதின் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளையும் வெறிக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என்றென்றைக்கும் விழிக்காத தூக்கமாய்த் தூங்கி விழுவார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னும் நாமமுள்ள ராஜா சொல்லுகிறார்.

நான் பாபிலோனின் ஞானிகளையும் முக்கியமான அதிகாரிகளையும் குடிமயக்கத்துக்குள்ளாக்குவேன். நான் ஆளுநர்களையும் அதிகாரிகளையும் வீரர்களையும்கூடக் குடிக்கச்செய்வேன். பிறகு அவர்கள் என்றென்றைக்கும் உறங்குவார்கள். அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் எழமாட்டார்கள்” அரசர் இவற்றைச் சொன்னார். அவரது நாமம் சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர்.

and her rulers, וּסְגָנֶ֙יהָ֙ sāgān sa-ɡAHN
and her mighty men: וְגִבּוֹרֶ֔יהָ gibbôr ɡee-BORE
and they shall sleep וְיָשְׁנ֥וּ yāšēn ya-SHANE
