அப்பொழுது அவர்: இது பூமியின்மீதெங்கும் புறப்பட்டுப்போகிற சாபம்; எந்தத் திருடனும் அதின் ஒரு புறத்திலிருக்கிறதின்படியே அழிக்கப்பட்டுப்போவான்; ஆணையிடுகிற எவனும், அதின் மறுபுறத்தில் இருக்கிறதின்படியே அழிக்கப்பட்டுப்போவான்.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: இது பூமியின் மீதெங்கும் புறப்பட்டுப்போகிற சாபம்; எந்தத் திருடனும் அந்த புத்தகச்சுருளின் ஒரு புறத்திலிருக்கிறதின்படியே அழிக்கப்பட்டுப்போவான்; ஆணையிடுகிற எவனும், அந்த புத்தகச்சுருளின் மறுபுறத்தில் இருக்கிறதின்படியே அழிக்கப்பட்டுப்போவான்.

பின்னர் தூதன் என்னிடம் சொன்னான்: “அந்த புத் தகச்சுருளில் சாபம் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. புத்தகச் சுருளின் ஒரு பக்கத்தில் திருடிய ஜனங்களுக்கான சாபம் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. புத்தகச் சுருளின் இன்னொரு பக்கத்தில் வாக்குறுதி அளிக்கும்போது பொய் சொன்ன ஜனங்களுக்கான சாபம் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது.

அப்போது அவர் என்னிடம், “அனைத்துலகின்மீதும் விழுகின்ற சாபமே இது; ஒருபுறம் எழுதியுள்ளபடி, திருடன் எவனும் இங்கிருந்து ஒழிக்கப்படுவான்; மறுபுறம் எழுதியுள்ளபடி, பொய்யாணை இடுகிறவன் எவனும் தண்டனைக்குத் தப்பவே மாட்டான்.

Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.

Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole land: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off on the one side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off on the other side according to it.
