அந்த அறுபத்திரண்டு வாரங்களுக்குப் பின்பு மேசியா சங்கரிக்கப்படுவார்; ஆனாலும் தமக்காக அல்ல; நகரத்தையும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தையும் வரப்போகிற பிரபுவின் ஜனங்கள் அழித்துப்போடுவார்கள்; அதின்முடிவு ஜலப்பிரவாகம்போல இருக்கும்; முடிவுபரியந்தம் யுத்தமும் நாசமும் உண்டாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டது.

62 வாரங்கள் சென்றபிறகு தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட நபர் கொல்லப்படுவான். அவன் போய்விடுவான். பிறகு வருங்காலத் தலைவனின் ஜனங்கள் நகரத்தையும் பரிசுத்தமான இடத்தையும் அழிப்பார்கள். அம்முடிவானது வெள்ளத்தைப்போன்று வரும். போரானது முடிவுவரை தொடரும். அந்த இடம் முழுமையாக அழிக்கப்படவேண்டும் என்று தேவன் கட்டளை கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

And after the threescore and two weeks shall the anointed one be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined.
