அவன் போய்ச் சேர்ந்து, தேவனுடைய கிருபையைக் கண்டபோது, சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, கர்த்தரிடத்தில் மனநிர்ணயமாய் நிலைத்திருக்கும்படி எல்லாருக்கும் புத்திசொன்னான்.

பர்னபா நல்ல மனிதன். அவன் பரிசுத்த ஆவியாலும் மிகுந்த விசுவாசத்திலும் நிரம்பியிருந்தான். அந்தியோகியா மக்கள் பெரிதும் தேவ ஆசீர்வாதம் பெற்றதைக் கண்டான், அது பர்னபாவுக்கு மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சியைத் தந்தது. அவன் அந்தியோகியாவின் எல்லா விசுவாசிகளுக்கும் உற்சாகமூட்டினான். அவன் அவர்களை நோக்கி, “ஒருபொழுதும் விசுவாசம் இழக்காதீர்கள். எப்பொழுதும் உங்கள் முழு இருதயத்தோடு கர்த்தருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள்” என்றான். பற்பல மக்கள் கர்த்தரின் சீஷராயினர்.
