இப்படி அவர்கள் சுவிசேஷத்தின் சத்தியத்திற்கேற்றபடி சரியாய் நடவாததை நான் கண்டபோது, எல்லாருக்கும் முன்பாக நான் பேதுருவை நோக்கிச்சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்: யூதனாயிருக்கிற நீர் யூதர் முறைமையாக நடவாமல், புறஜாதியார் முறைமையாக நடந்துகொண்டிருக்க, புறஜாதியாரை யூதர்முறைமையாக நடக்கும்படி நீர் எப்படிக்கட்டாயம் பண்ணலாம்?

இப்படி அவர்கள் நற்செய்தியின் சத்தியத்தின்படி சரியாக நடக்காததை நான் பார்த்தபோது, எல்லோருக்கும் முன்பாக நான் பேதுருவைப் பார்த்து சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்: யூதனாக இருக்கிற நீ யூதர்கள் முறைப்படி நடக்காமல், யூதரல்லாதவர்களின் முறைப்படி நடந்து கொண்டிருக்க, யூதரல்லாதோரை யூதர்கள் முறைப்படி நடக்கச்சொல்லி நீ எப்படிக் கட்டாயப்படுத்தலாம்?

யூதர்கள் செய்வதை நான் பார்த்தேன். அவர்கள் நற்செய்தியின் முழு உண்மையைப் பின்பற்றவில்லை. எனவே எல்லாரும் கேட்கும்படியே நேரடியாய்ப் பேதுருவிடம் சென்று நான் கண்டித்தேன். “பேதுரு நீங்கள் ஒரு யூதர். ஆனால் நீங்கள் ஒரு யூதரைப்போல வாழவில்லை. நீங்கள் யூதர் அல்லாதவரைப்போல வாழ்கிறீர்கள். இவ்வாறு இருக்க நீங்கள் எப்படி யூதர் அல்லாதவர்களை யூதர்கள்போல வாழ வேண்டும் என்று கட்டாயப்படுத்த முடியும்?” என்று கேட்டேன்.

இவ்வாறு அவர்கள் நற்செய்தியின் உண்மைக்கேற்ப நேர்மையாய் நடவாததைக் கண்ட நான் எல்லார் முன்னிலையிலும் கேபாவிடம், “நீர் யூதராயிருந்தும் யூத முறைப்படி நடவாமல் பிறஇனத்தாரின் முறைப்படி நடக்கிறீரே! அப்படியிருக்க பிற இனத்தார் யூதமுறையைக் கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டுமென நீர் எப்படிக் கட்டாயப்படுத்தலாம்?” என்று கேட்டேன்.

Ippati avarkal suviseshaththin saththiyaththirkaettapati sariyaay nadavaathathai naan kanndapothu, ellaarukkum munpaaka naan paethuruvai Nnokkichchaொnnathu ennavental: yoothanaayirukkira neer yoothar muraimaiyaaka nadavaamal, purajaathiyaar muraimaiyaaka nadanthukonntirukka, purajaathiyaarai yootharmuraimaiyaaka nadakkumpati neer eppatikkattayam pannnalaam?
