1 அப்பொழுது ஜனங்கள் யோசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாகாசை அழைத்து, அவனை எருசலேமிலே அவன் தகப்பன் ஸ்தானத்திலே ராஜாவாக்கினார்கள். Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead in Jerusalem.

2 யோவாகாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்துமூன்று வயதாயிருந்து, மூன்றுமாதம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான். Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

3 அவன் எருசலேமில் அரசாளாதபடிக்கு எகிப்தின் ராஜா அவனைத் தள்ளிவிட்டு, தேசத்தின்மேல் நூறு தாலந்துவெள்ளியும் ஒரு தாலந்து பொன்னுமான தண்டத்தைச் சுமத்தி, And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

5 யோயாக்கீம் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, பதினொருவருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டு, தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான். Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God.

6 அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் வந்து, அவனைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோக இரண்டு வெண்கலச் சங்கிலியால் அவனைக் கட்டினான். Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.

7 கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் பணிமுட்டுகளிலும் சிலவற்றை நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் பாலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவர்களைப் பாபிலோனிலுள்ள, தன்னுடைய கோவிலிலே வைத்தான். Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

8 யோக்கீமுடைய மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்ததும், அவனிடத்திலே கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டதுமான அவனுடைய அருவருப்புகளும், இஸ்ரவேல் யூதா ராஜாக்களின் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது; அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோயாக்கீன் ராஜாவானான். Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

10 மறுவருஷத்தின் ஆரம்பத்திலே நெபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜா அவனையும், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் திவ்வியமான பணிமுட்டுகளையும் பாபிலோனுக்கு கொண்டுவரப்பண்ணி, அவன் சிறியதகப்பனாகிய சிதேக்கியாவை யூதாவின்மேலும் எருசலேமின்மேலும் ராஜாவாக்கினான். And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

11 சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தொரு வயதாயிருந்து, பதினொருவருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டு, Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.

12 தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; அவன் கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கை உரைத்த எரேமியா என்கிற தீர்க்கதரிசிக்கு முன்பாகத் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்தவில்லை. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.

13 தேவன்மேல் தன்னை ஆணையிடுவித்துக்கொண்ட நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பாதபடிக்கு, தன் கழுத்தை அழுத்தமாக்கி, தன் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தினான். And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel.

14 ஆசாரியரில் பிரதானமானவர்கள் யாவரும் ஜனங்களும் கூடிப் புறஜாதிகளுடைய சகல அருவருப்புகளின்படியும் மிகவும் துரோகம்பண்ணி, கர்த்தர் எருசலேமிலே பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணின அவருடைய ஆலயத்தை தீட்டுப்படுத்தினார்கள். Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.

15 அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனத்தையும் தமது வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் காப்பதற்கான இரக்கமுள்ளவராயிருந்தபடியால், அவர்களிடத்துக்குத் தம்முடைய ஸ்தானாபதிகளை ஏற்கனவே அனுப்பினார். And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:

16 ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய ஸ்தானாபதிகளைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணி, அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை அசட்டைசெய்து, அவருடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை நிந்தித்தபடியால், கர்த்தருடைய உக்கிரம் அவருடைய ஜனத்தின்மேல் மூண்டது; சகாயமில்லாமல் போயிற்று. But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand.

18 அவன் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பெரிதும் சிறிதுமான பணிமுட்டுகளனைத்தையும், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் பொக்கிஷங்களும் ராஜாவுக்கும் அவன் பிரபுக்களுக்கும் இருந்த பொக்கிஷங்களுமாகிய அனைத்தையும் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனான். And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.

19 அவர்கள் அவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைத் தீக்கொளுத்தி, எருசலேமின் அலங்கத்தை இடித்து, அதின் மாளிகைகளையெல்லாம் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்து, அதிலிருந்த திவ்வியமான பணிமுட்டுகளையெல்லாம் அழித்தார்கள். And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.

20 பட்டயத்திற்குத் தப்பின மீதியானவர்களை அவன் பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைபிடித்துப்போனான்; பெர்சியா ராஜ்யபாரம் ஸ்தாபிக்கப்படுமட்டும் அங்கே அவர்கள் அவனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் அடிமைகளாயிருந்தார்கள். And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:

21 கர்த்தர் எரேமியாவின் வாயினாலே சொன்ன வார்த்தை நிறைவேறும்படிக்கு, தேசம் தன்னுடைய ஓய்வு வருஷங்களை இரம்மியமாய் அநுபவித்துத் தீருமட்டும், அது பாழாய்க்கிடந்த நாளெல்லாம், அதாவது, எழுபதுவருஷம் முடியுமட்டும் ஓய்ந்திருந்தது. To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.

22 எரேமியாவின் வாயினாலே கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தை நிறைவேறும்படி, பெர்சியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய கோரேசின்முதலாம் வருஷத்திலே கர்த்தர் பெர்சியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய கோரேசின் ஆவியை ஏவினதினாலே, அவன்: பரலோகத்தின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் பூமியின் ராஜ்யங்களையெல்லாம் எனக்குத் தந்தருளி, யூதாவிலுள்ள எருசலேமிலே தமக்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவிக்கும்படி எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறார். Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

23 அவருடைய ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரிலும் எவன் உங்களுக்குள் இருக்கிறானோ அவன்போகட்டும், அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவனோடிருப்பாராக என்று பெர்சியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய கோரேஸ் அறிவிக்கிறார் என்று, தன் ராஜ்யம் எங்கும் எழுதியனுப்பி விளம்பரம்பண்ணினான். Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.

1 Appoluthu janangal yosiyaavin kumaaranaakiya yovaakaasai alaiththu, avanai erusalaemilae avan thakappan sthaanaththilae raajaavaakkinaarkal. Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead in Jerusalem.

2 Yovaakaas raajaavaakirapothu irupaththumoontu vayathaayirunthu, moontumaatham erusalaemil arasaanndaan. Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

3 Avan erusalaemil arasaalaathapatikku ekipthin raajaa avanaith thallivittu, thaesaththinmael nooraு thaalanthuvelliyum oru thaalanthu ponnumaana thanndaththaich sumaththi, And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

4 Avanutaiya annnanaakiya eliyaakgeemai yoothaavinmaelum erusalaeminmaelum raajaavaakki, avan paerai yoyaakgeem entu maattinaan; avan thampiyaakiya yovaakaasai ekipthin raajaavaakiya naeko ekipthirkuk konnduponaan. And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

7 Karththarutaiya aalayaththin pannimuttukalilum silavattaை naepukaathnaechchaாr paalonukkuk konndupoy, avarkalaip paapilonilulla, thannutaiya kovililae vaiththaan. Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

8 Yokgeemutaiya matta varththamaanangalum, avan seythathum, avanidaththilae kanndupitikkappattathumaana avanutaiya aruvaruppukalum, Israel yoothaa raajaakkalin pusthakaththil eluthiyirukkirathu; avan sthaanaththil avan kumaaranaakiya yoyaakgeen raajaavaanaan. 10 Maraுvarushaththin aarampaththilae nepukaathnaechchaாr ennum raajaa avanaiyum, karththarutaiya aalayaththin thivviyamaana pannimuttukalaiyum paapilonukku konnduvarappannnni, avan siriyathakappanaakiya sithaekkiyaavai yoothaavinmaelum erusalaeminmaelum raajaavaakkinaan. And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

11 Sithaekkiyaa raajaavaakirapothu irupaththoru vayathaayirunthu, pathinoruvarusham erusalaemil arasaanndu, Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.

12 Than thaevanaakiya karththarin paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythaan; avan karththarutaiya vaakkai uraiththa eraemiyaa enkira theerkkatharisikku munpaakath thannaith thaalththavillai. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.

13 Dhevanmael thannai aannaiyiduviththukkonnda naepukaathnaechchaாr ennum raajaavukku virothamaayk kalakampannnni, isravaelin thaevanaakiya karththaridaththukkuth thirumpaathapatikku, than kaluththai aluththamaakki, than iruthayaththaik katinappaduththinaan. And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel.

14 Aasaariyaril pirathaanamaanavarkal yaavarum janangalum kootip purajaathikalutaiya sakala aruvaruppukalinpatiyum mikavum thurokampannnni, Karththar erusalaemilae Parisuththampannnnina avarutaiya aalayaththai theettuppaduththinaarkal. 15 Avarkalutaiya pithaakkalin thaevanaakiya Karththar thamathu janaththaiyum thamathu vaasasthalaththaiyum kaappatharkaana irakkamullavaraayirunthapatiyaal, avarkalidaththukkuth thammutaiya sthaanaapathikalai aerkanavae anuppinaar. And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:

16 Aanaalum avarkal thaevanutaiya sthaanaapathikalaip pariyaasampannnni, avarutaiya vaarththaikalai asattaைseythu, avarutaiya theerkkatharisikalai ninthiththapatiyaal, karththarutaiya ukkiram avarutaiya janaththinmael moonndathu; sakaayamillaamal poyittaு. 17 Aathalaal avar avarkalmael kalthaeyarin raajaavai varappannnninaar; avan avarkal vaaliparai avarkalutaiya Parisuththamaana aalayaththilae pattayaththinaal kontu, vaaliparaiyum kanniyaasthireekalaiyum muthiyoraiyum viruththaappiyaraiyum thappavidavillai; ellaaraiyum Dhevan avan kaiyil oppukkoduththaar. And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.

19 Avarkal avanutaiya aalayaththaith theekkoluththi, erusalaemin alangaththai itiththu, athin maalikaikalaiyellaam akkiniyaal sutteriththu, athiliruntha thivviyamaana pannimuttukalaiyellaam aliththaarkal. And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.

20 Pattayaththirkuth thappina meethiyaanavarkalai avan paapilonukkuch siraipitiththupponaan; persiyaa raajyapaaram sthaapikkappadumattum angae avarkal avanukkum avan kumaararukkum atimaikalaayirunthaarkal. And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:

21 Karththar eraemiyaavin vaayinaalae sonna vaarththai niraivaeraுmpatikku, thaesam thannutaiya oyvu varushangalai irammiyamaay anupaviththuth theerumattum, athu paalaaykkidantha naalellaam, athaavathu, elupathuvarusham mutiyumattum oynthirunthathu. To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.

22 Eraemiyaavin vaayinaalae Karththar sonna vaarththai niraivaeraுmpati, persiyaavin raajaavaakiya koraesinmuthalaam varushaththilae Karththar persiyaavin raajaavaakiya koraesin aaviyai aevinathinaalae, avan: paralokaththin thaevanaakiya Karththar poomiyin raajyangalaiyellaam enakkuth thantharuli, yoothaavilulla erusalaemilae thamakku aalayaththaik kattuvikkumpati enakkuk kattalaiyittirukkiraar.
