அப்பொழுது நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் வசனித்து: சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பவர்களுடைய தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்; அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய தேவனைத் தவிர வேறொரு தேவனையும் சேவித்துப் பணியாமல், அவரையே நம்பி, ராஜாவின் கட்டளையைத் தள்ளி, தங்கள் சரீரங்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததினால், அவர் தமது தூதனை அனுப்பி, தம்முடைய தாசரை விடுவித்தார்.

பிறகு நேபுகாத்நேச்சார்: “சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ ஆகியோரின் தேவனைப் போற்றுங்கள். அவர்களின் தேவன், தூதனை அனுப்பி அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றிவிட்டார். இந்த மூன்று பேரும் அவர்களின் தேவனை நம்பினார்கள். அவர்கள் எனது கட்டளைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிய மறுத்தனர். அவர்கள் மற்ற தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பணிவிடைச் செய்து தொழுவதைவிட மரித்துப்போகத் தயாராக இருந்தனர்.
