ராஜாவின் வார்த்தையின்படியும் அவனுடைய கட்டளையின்படியும் செய்யப்படுகிறதற்கு, ஆதார் மாதம் என்கிற பன்னிரண்டாம் மாதம் பதின்மூன்றாந் தேதியிலே, யூதரின் பகைஞர் அவர்களை மேற்கொள்ளலாம் என்று நம்பினார்களே; அந்த நாளிலேதானே, யூதரானவர்கள் தங்கள் பகைஞரை மேற்கொள்ளும்படிக்குக் காரியம் மாறுதலாய் முடிந்தது.

of the same, when	אֲשֶׁ֨ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
drew near	הִגִּ֧יעַ	nāgaʿ	na-ɡA
commandment	דְּבַר	dābār	da-VAHR
the king's	הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ	melek	meh-LEK
and his decree	וְדָת֖וֹ	dāt	daht
to be put in execution,	לְהֵֽעָשׂ֑וֹת	ʿāśâ	ah-SA
in the day	בַּיּ֗וֹם	yôm	yome
that	אֲשֶׁ֨ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
hoped	שִׂבְּר֜וּ	śābar	sa-VAHR
the enemies	אֹֽיְבֵ֤י	ʾōyēb	oh-YAVE
of the Jews	הַיְּהוּדִים֙	yĕhûdî	yeh-hoo-DEE
to have power	לִשְׁל֣וֹט	šālaṭ	sha-LAHT
	בָּהֶ֔ם
was turned	וְנַֽהֲפ֣וֹךְ	hāpak	ha-FAHK
over them, (though it	ה֔וּא	hûʾ	hoo
to the contrary, that	אֲשֶׁ֨ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
had rule over	יִשְׁלְט֧וּ	šālaṭ	sha-LAHT
the Jews	הַיְּהוּדִ֛ים	yĕhûdî	yeh-hoo-DEE
