சகோதரனாகிய அப்பொல்லோவைக்குறித்தோவெனில், சகோதரரோடேகூட உங்களிடத்தில் வரும்படிக்கு அவனை மிகவும் வேண்டிக்கொண்டேன்; ஆகிலும் இப்பொழுது வர அவனுக்கு மனதில்லை; அவனுக்கு நற்சமயம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்போது வருவான்.

சகோதரர்களோடுகூட உங்களிடம் வரும்படி சகோதரனாகிய அப்பொல்லோவை மிகவும் வேண்டிக்கொண்டேன்; ஆனாலும் இப்பொழுது வர அவனுக்கு மனதில்லை; அவனுக்கு சமயம் கிடைக்கும்போது வருவான்.

இப்போது நமது சகோதரன் அப்பொல்லோவைக் குறித்து எழுதுகிறேன். பிற சகோதரர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து அவன் உங்களைச் சந்திக்க வேண்டுமென மிகவும் ஊக்கமூட்டினேன். அவன் இப்போது உங்களிடம் வருவதில்லை என உறுதியாகக் கூறினான். அவனுக்கு வாய்ப்புக் கிடைக்கும்போது அவன் உங்களிடம் வருவான்.

As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.

But as touching Apollos the brother, I besought him much to come unto you with the brethren: and it was not all `his' will to come now; but he will come when he shall have opportunity.
