என் ஆத்துமாவே, நீ ஏன் கலங்குகிறாய்? ஏன் எனக்குள் தியங்குகிறாய்? தேவனை நோக்கிக் காத்திரு; என் முகத்திற்கு இரட்சிப்பும் என் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறவரை நான் இன்னும் துதிப்பேன்.

ஏன் நான் துக்கமாயிருக்க வேண்டும்? ஏன் நான் கலக்கம் கொள்ளவேண்டும்? நான் தேவனுடைய உதவிக்காகக் காத்திருப்பேன். அவரைத் துதிக்கும் வாய்ப்பு இன்னும் எனக்கு கிடைக்கும். அவர் என்னை மீட்பார்.

O my soul? נַפְשִׁי֮ nepeš neh-FESH

art thou disquieted תֶּהֱמִ֪י hāmâ ha-MA
within עָ֫לָ֥י ʿal al
me? hope הוֹחִ֣ילִי yāḥal ya-HAHL
in God: לֵֽ֭אלֹהִים ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
for כִּי kî kee
I shall yet ע֣וֹד ʿôd ode
praise אוֹדֶ֑נּוּ yādâ ya-DA
