அப்பொழுது இதோ, ஆறு புருஷர், வெட்டுகிற ஆயுதங்களைத் தங்கள் கைகளில் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு வடக்கே பார்த்த உயர்ந்த வாசலின் வழியிலிருந்து வந்தார்கள்; அவர்களில் சணல்நூல் அங்கிதரித்து, தன் அரையில் கணக்கனுடைய மைக்கூட்டை வைத்திருக்கிற ஒருவன் இருந்தான்; அவர்கள் உள்ளே பிரவேசித்து, வெண்கல பலிபீடத்தண்டையிலே நின்றார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது இதோ, ஆறு ஆண்கள், வெட்டுகிற ஆயுதங்களைத் தங்களுடைய கைகளில் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, வடக்கே பார்த்த உயர்ந்த வாசலின் வழியிலிருந்து வந்தார்கள்; அவர்களில் சணல்நூல் அங்கி அணிந்து, தன்னுடைய இடுப்பில் கணக்கனுடைய மைக்கூட்டை வைத்திருக்கிற ஒருவன் இருந்தான்; அவர்கள் உள்ளே நுழைந்து, வெண்கல பலிபீடத்தின் அருகில் நின்றார்கள்.

பிறகு உயர்ந்த வாசலிலிருந்து ஆறு மனிதர்கள் சாலையில் நடந்து வருவதை நான் பார்த்தேன். அவ்வாசல் வடபகுதியில் இருக்கிறது. ஒவ்வொருவரும் தமது கையில் வெட்டுகிற ஆயுதத்தை வைத்திருந்தனர். ஒரு மனிதன் சணல் நூல் ஆடை அணிந்திருந்தான். அவன் தன் இடுப்பில் நகலரின் எழுது கோலையும் மைக்கூட்டையும் வைத்திருந்தான். அம்மனிதர்கள் ஆலயத்தில் உள்ள வெண்கல பலிபீடத்தின் அருகில் நின்றனர்.

இதோ ஆறு ஆள்கள் வடக்கு நோக்கி இருக்கும் மேல் வாயிலின் வழியாக வந்தனர். ஒவ்வொருவர் கையிலும் ஒரு கொலைக் கருவி இருந்தது. அவர்களுடன் நார்ப்பட்டு உடுத்தி, எழுதும் மைக்கூட்டை இடையில் வைத்திருந்த ஒருவனும் இருந்தான். இவர்கள் உள்ளே வந்து வெண்கலப் பீடத்தின் அருகில் நின்றனர்.

six שִׁשָּׁ֣ה šēš shaysh
men אֲנָשִׁ֡ים ʾîš eesh
came בָּאִ֣ים׀ bôʾ boh
from the way מִדֶּרֶךְ derek deh-REK
gate, שַׁ֨עַר šaʿar sha-AR
of the higher הָעֶלְי֜וֹן ʿelyôn el-YONE
which אֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ ʾăšer uh-SHER
lieth מָפְנֶ֣ה pānâ pa-NA
toward the north, צָפ֗וֹנָה ṣāpôn tsa-FONE
and every man וְאִ֨ישׁ ʾîš eesh
weapon כְּלִ֤י kĕlî keh-LEE
a slaughter מַפָּצוֹ֙ mappāṣ ma-PAHTS
in his hand; בְּיָד֔וֹ yād yahd

and one אֶחָ֤ד ʾeḥād eh-HAHD
among בְּתוֹכָם֙ tāwek ta-VEK
