இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் இதினாலே பாவஞ்செய்தானல்லவா? அவனைப்போன்ற ராஜா அநேகம் ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே உண்டாயிருந்ததில்லை; அவன் தன் தேவனாலே சிநேகிக்கப்பட்டவனாயிருந்தான்; தேவன் அவனை இஸ்ரவேலனைத்தின்மேலும் ராஜாவாக வைத்தார்; அப்பபடிப்பட்டவனையும் மறுஜாதியான ஸ்திரீகள் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணினார்களே.

இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் இதினாலே பாவம்செய்தானல்லவா? அவனைப்போன்ற ராஜா அநேகம் தேசங்களுக்குள்ளே இருந்ததில்லை; அவன் தன்னுடைய தேவனால் சிநேகிக்கப்பட்டவனாக இருந்தான்; தேவன் அவனை இஸ்ரவேலனைத்தின் மேலும் ராஜாவாக வைத்தார்; அப்படிப்பட்டவனையும் யூதரல்லாத பெண்கள் பாவம் செய்யவைத்தார்களே.

இது போன்ற திருமணங்கள் சாலொமோனைப் பாவம் செய்யும்படி செய்தது என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும். அனைத்து நாடுகளிலும் சாலொமோனைப் போன்ற பேரரசன் இல்லை. தேவன் சாலொமோனை நேசித்தார். தேவன் சாலொமோனை இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்தின் முழுவதற்கும் பேரரசனாகச் செய்தார். ஆனாலும் சாலொமோன் வெளிநாட்டுப் பெண்களால் பாவம் செய்யும்படி ஆயிற்று.

நான் சொன்னது: “இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசர் சாலமோனின் பாவம் இதுதான் அல்லவோ! அவரைப் போன்ற மன்னர் பல நாடுகளிலும் இருந்ததில்லையே! அவருடைய கடவுள் அவருக்கு அன்பு காட்டினார். கடவுள் அவரை இஸ்ரயேலர் அனைவருக்கும் அரசராக ஏற்படுத்தியிருந்தார். இருப்பினும் வேற்றினப் பெண்கள் அவரையும் பாவம் செய்திடச் செய்தார்கள்.

1 இராஜாக்கள் 3:13
இதுவுமன்றி, நீ கேளாத ஐசுவரியத்தையும் மகிமையையும் உனக்குத் தந்தேன்; உன் நாட்களில் இருக்கிற ராஜாக்களில் ஒருவனும் உனக்குச் சரியானவன் இருப்பதில்லை.

2 நாளாகமம் 1:12
ஞானமும் விகேமும் தந்திருக்கிறதுமல்லாமல், உனக்குமுன் இருந்த ராஜாக்களுக்காகிலும் உனக்குப்பின் இருக்கும் ராஜாக்களுக்காகிலும் இல்லாத ஐசுவரியத்தையும் சம்பத்தையும் கனத்தையும் உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றார்.

பிரசங்கி 7:26
கண்ணிகளும் வலைகளுமாகிய நெஞ்சமும், கயிறுகளுமாகிய கைகளுடைய ஸ்திரீயானவள், சாவிலும் அதிக கசப்புள்ளவளென்று கண்டேன், தேவனுக்குமுன்பாகச் சற்குணனாயிருக்கிறவன் அவளுக்குத் தப்புவான்; பாவியோ அவளால் பிடிபடுவான்.
