நீங்களோ உங்களுடைய எல்லாத்தீங்குகளுக்கும் நெருக்கங்களுக்கும் உங்களை நீங்கலாக்கி ரட்சித்த உங்கள் தேவனை இந்நாளிலே புறக்கணித்து, ஒரு ராஜாவை எங்கள்மேல் ஏற்படுத்தும் என்று அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டுக்கொண்டீர்கள்; இப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் உங்கள் வம்சங்களின்படியேயும், ஆயிரங்களான உங்கள் சேர்வைகளின்படியேயும், வந்து நில்லுங்கள்; என்றான்.

நீங்களோ உங்களுடைய எல்லாத் தீங்குகளுக்கும் நெருக்கங்களுக்கும் உங்களை மீட்டு இரட்சித்த உங்கள் தேவனை இந்த நாளிலே புறக்கணித்து, ஒரு ராஜாவை எங்களுக்கு ஏற்படுத்தும் என்று அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டுக்கொண்டீர்கள்; இப்பொழுது கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக உங்கள் கோத்திரத்தின் படியும், வம்சங்களின்படியும் வந்து நில்லுங்கள் என்றான்.

ஆனால், இன்று நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனை ஒதுக்கிவிட்டீர்கள். உங்களது துன்பங்களிலிருந்தும் சிக்கல்களிலிருந்தும் உங்கள் தேவன் காப்பாற்றினார். ஆனால் நீங்களோ, ‘எங்களை ஆள ஒரு அரசன் வேண்டும்’ என்கிறீர்கள். இப்போது நீங்கள் உங்கள் குடும்பத்தோடும் கோத்திரங்களோடும் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பு சேர்ந்து நில்லுங்கள்” என்றான்.
